As I was feeling the change of seasons on my skin first and considering switching up my essence or cream, I won a Hwahae tester opportunity! I'm so grateful~ While my skin isn't particularly sensitive to ingredients, it's dry and changes a lot with the seasons. Despite being dry, my skin changes slightly throughout the year. If I apply too much product, it tends to pill and doesn't absorb well. I have to carefully apply my skincare every time just to manage the deep dryness. Initially, I was worried about absorption, shininess, and pilling since it's an oil. But since I used it mixed with other products rather than alone, I didn't experience these issues. In fact, I felt it absorbed even better when mixed! After applying, there was hardly any shine, and it gave a natural glow. Even though it's autumn and my skin was painfully dry, this definitely provided good hydration. Above all, I saw the biggest benefit from the oil the next morning. Usually, I wake up dry due to moisture loss overnight, but after using this oil, that problem completely disappeared! It's said to increase absorption when used with functional products, but I don't use any separate functional products in my routine, so I'm not sure about that aspect. However, it can be used all over the body, especially on elbows and hair, so I made good use of it in various ways. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed because I had high expectations. I guess I was expecting something more dramatic... At first, I used the oil alone and didn't notice much, so I thought this product's role was to increase absorption when mixed with other products. I used it with a body emulsion, and maybe that's why, but at least my elbows improved! And then there's the hair, which I was also excited about! I usually wash my hair before bed, and my hair condition is quite damaged from coloring and perming. So I really need to apply essence, but when I apply it and go to sleep, my hair touches my face and causes acne. So I reluctantly apply essence in the morning. Naturally, it's less effective than applying right after washing, but since this is for the whole body, I was so happy and used it enthusiastically... However, I might have overdone it. I had to spend the whole day feeling like I'd been caught in the rain, and every time I touched my hair, oil would come off on my hands! For hair, I think it would be good if you just control the amount well.
Cons* The scent In my opinion, it wasn't a pleasant pine scent. My husband would plead with me every day not to use it. * The ingredients are somewhat concerning I'm not particularly sensitive to ingredients, but I think those with sensitive skin probably wouldn't choose to buy this. * Skin type I think it would suit dry skin types well, but in my opinion, it probably wouldn't be good for combination dehydrated skin. * Mixing it with other products is a bit inconvenient It's manageable with creams or emulsions on the palm, but it's inconvenient with ampoules or essence-type products. I prefer products that go directly on the skin rather than on my hands, as I worry about absorption in my palms. This aspect was uncomfortable during use.
TipFor water-based products like ampoules or essences, it's good to lightly apply them to your face first, then drop the oil onto your hands and apply it together with the product you've already put on.

It feels like it even tackles deep dryness. The pine scent is incredibly strong, reminiscent of a forest.
ConsI have oily, sensitive skin and tend to get blemishes during my menstrual cycle. With winter coming, I felt my usual emulsion wasn't enough as my skin felt tight and dry, so I ordered this face oil which I hadn't used before. Unfortunately, I had to stop using it due to breakouts. I only added this oil to my existing routine of using Tosowoong Centella Emulsion, but I experienced unusual blemishes. They weren't red, inflamed pimples or white heads, but rather something dark under the skin, like toxins trapped beneath the surface. My face felt painful and swollen when washing. It was really bothersome (I've never had this type of breakout before). The issues started right after I received the product on 10/29. After stopping use for about a week, the dark marks gradually faded. As someone with oily skin, I've only used jojoba oil before... From now on, even if my skin feels dry, I'll avoid face oils. Also, the pine scent was so strong that I worried my partner would smell it when we were close, so I ended up using more perfume to cover it up.
TipAs per the instructions, mix just one drop with your usual emulsion!

As you can see from the ingredient list, it's made with natural components. They've added retinyl palmitate for anti-aging and firmness benefits. It's a retinol derivative that's known for its stability and effectiveness. - It's a lightweight oil. In fact, it's the lightest oil I've ever used. As the weather was getting drier, I started looking for an oil and found this one. When I mix 2 drops with my moisturizer, my skin stays hydrated all day and feels silky smooth. If you've been hesitant about oils because of their heaviness, I highly recommend trying this one. - The pine scent is quite strong, but I actually love it. It gives a sense of mental and physical healing. While it might not be everyone's cup of tea, I'm personally very satisfied with it.
ConsI didn't find any particular downsides. However, the pine scent might be polarizing. It's similar to the aroma you'd find in a sauna's oxygen room.
Tip1. When I mix a couple of drops with my emulsion as the final step of my skincare routine before makeup, my skin stays silky smooth and hydrated until evening. Above all, I'm extremely satisfied with how lightweight it feels. 2. I've also tried mixing it with my body lotion and applying it to my elbows, heels, and legs. Even the areas that used to be rough are now silky smooth!

I occasionally get small bumps due to hormonal changes, and my skin still produces a lot of sebum due to large pores. I prefer refreshing products in summer and moisturizing ones in winter to combat dryness and dead skin cells. Skincare routine: Nature Republic The Origin Hyaluronic Acid (exfoliating toner) -> Bring Green Artemisia Calming Repair Cream I mix the oil with the cream after using the exfoliating toner. (1-2 drops in the morning, 3-4 drops at night, with more cream used in the evening.) About the product: It's a slightly pale yellow liquid in a light green glass bottle. The texture is surprisingly lightweight, feeling more like a serum than a heavy oil. It's even lighter than The Ordinary's Squalane Oil that I used before. There's a strong herbal scent when you open the cap (they say it's pine needle, but I've never smelled that before). I thought the strong fragrance might cause headaches, but I didn't experience any such symptoms. I personally like the cool scent, but some people might not. Advantages: 1. Improved hydration, skin texture, and oil control Despite mixing it with oil, my skin was less oily than when using cream alone. It didn't feel like it was clogging my pores either. It gave a firm, skin-gripping sensation. Even after sleeping, the oiliness around my nose was less than when using cream alone. Foundation used to settle into the creases around my nose over time, but this has improved since using the oil. Before, I had to reapply cream around my mouth area after a few hours due to dryness, but I didn't feel any tightness after mixing in the oil. It blended well with the cream and adhered to my skin without feeling like it was sitting on top. My skin texture, which used to feel rough even after masks or cream, now feels moist and soft. I'm very satisfied. It seems to boost the effectiveness of whatever cream it's mixed with. 2. Fragrance I personally love the refreshing herbal scent that doesn't cause headaches. It gives a cool feeling and makes me feel like I'm in a forest, which is refreshing when applied in the evening.
Cons1. Expensive price Although I'm satisfied with how it works... the price is too high... I'd hesitate a lot before purchasing. If they could lower the price just a bit... I'd be happy to use it more... 2. Fragrance While I personally love it, the strong scent might be polarizing for some people. 3. Limited availability When I searched online, I could easily find this company's soaps, but this product was harder to find. I hope it becomes more widely available.
Tip- The pamphlet they sent with detailed product information and usage instructions was helpful. I personally prefer to warm the oil between my hands and press it into my skin after applying cream, but it says mixing them works better, so I've been doing that. I use bar soap for cleansing and would like to try their pine needle soap as well. - Since it contains retinyl palmitate, sun protection is important when using it during the day. -> So far, I've been using it day and night without any issues or blemishes.

This product feels a bit oilier like regular oils, so I tried mixing it with my cream (the instructions also suggest it's better when mixed with cream). Recently, my skin felt dehydrated, probably due to the cold wind, but after using this for about two days, I noticed a significant improvement. It applies and absorbs better than expected. It seems to blend and absorb better with cream compared to other oils (it's great when you feel that deep dryness). When I use it consistently and then switch to just cream for a day or two, I feel dry again. It seems oils provide the best hydration in winter. Also, maybe because my skin is now well-hydrated, I feel like my skin texture is improving just by adding this oil.
ConsFirst off, as soon as you open it, there's an overpowering pine scent. It took me a while to realize it was a pine smell; at first, I just thought, 'What's this intense odor?' (I deducted one star from the rating because of the smell.)
TipInstead of applying oil on top of all your skincare, try mixing it with your moisturizer. (I don't like too much greasiness, so I only mixed in one drop. The instructions say to use two or three drops, but one drop worked fine for me. Also, I only used cream on my T-zone as it's oily and prone to blemishes, and used the oil mixture on the rest of my face.) We all know it's best to apply skincare quickly after cleansing, right? If you wait too long, your skin feels dry no matter what you apply. It won't absorb well.

I usually keep my skincare routine minimal with just toner and emulsion or toner and cream. But with just a few drops of this oil, I could feel my deep dryness disappearing and my oil and moisture balance evening out! You know how they say lack of hydration can lead to more sebum production? Well, when I mixed this in and slept with it on, the next morning I noticed less dryness and less excess oil than usual!
ConsOn first use, the pine scent was so strong that I wondered if I'd be able to get used to it. I prefer unscented products, so I felt a bit put off by this, to be honest.
TipPersonally, I found it works better with lighter emulsions rather than thick creams. When doing my makeup in the morning, mixing in a drop makes my foundation apply smoothly without caking. On days I use this, I barely feel any dryness even after applying powder! I'd say it works even better than most makeup bases out there.

It absorbs well. Among oils, I think its absorption is top-notch! #Hydration I mix it with my cream as the last step of my skincare routine, and it definitely creates a moisturizing barrier effect. It doesn't feel like there's a film on my face or feel suffocating, but rather it feels like it's protecting the skin's moisture from evaporating. Even when I apply it at night, my skin doesn't feel tight the next morning. #User Experience I've tried mixing it with both cream and emulsion, and it blends well with both products. It applies smoothly, making for a pleasant user experience. I think you'll see better hydration results if you mix it with products that suit your skin well. #Blemishes Usually, when I apply products that are too oily or highly nourishing, I break out, but I haven't experienced any blemishes with this. If you use a small amount as directed - one or two drops mixed in - it improves dryness without causing redness. (One time I used several drops, which was a bit much, and I felt some warmth on my face after a while. If you have sensitive skin, make sure to stick to the recommended amount.) #Packaging (Dropper) The dropper is smooth, and it's easy to control the amount, dispensing one drop at a time without difficulty. I think this might be the best oil product I've used so far. If you prep your skin to be moist in the previous steps and finish with this product mixed with cream, you can achieve that glowing, honey-like skin! I'm using it with satisfaction!
Cons#Scent As I usually use unscented products, I found this a bit strong for me. When I first opened it, I thought 'Oh, nice pine scent' from the packaging box, but the fragrance is quite strong. It's not artificial fragrance, so... And the scent doesn't last long, so it wasn't unbearable. #Amount Control is Essential Probably because it's highly concentrated, it can be irritating if you use too much. I accidentally used a few extra drops once, and I felt some warmth rising, so I realized it's not a completely gentle product. Make sure to stick to the specified amount!

To be honest, Phytocean might be the top choice for a face oil and serum combo. I have severe dehydrated skin but dislike feeling greasy, so I only apply it at night before bed. The amazing thing about Phytocean is that it doesn't leave you feeling oily the next day. Instead, it deeply hydrates while leaving the surface feeling soft... I hadn't seen other brands match this, but Red Pine Absolute Oil Essence comes close. While it doesn't provide the same deep hydration when used alone, it feels about 80% as effective when combined with other skincare products. For an oil, it applies surprisingly fresh and doesn't feel excessively sticky! I'm considering purchasing it as a more affordable alternative to Phytocean. My mother also has severe dead skin cells on her heels, and using this with foot cream seems to extend the moisturizing effects. In other words, when used with skincare, it appears to prolong the effectiveness of other products. It also seems to work well as a multi-purpose oil.
ConsHaha, the scent is quite strong... As soon as I opened the box, the fragrance spread, and my colleague suddenly asked where that healthy menthol smell was coming from! Besides that, I don't think there are any major drawbacks... It feels like a budget-friendly version of Phytocean. Still, the price is a bit steep for the amount you get...
TipI apply this oil after toner and before emulsion or moisturizer. It's especially effective for my extremely dry legs that suffer from 'drought'. Mixing this with an unscented body emulsion works wonders... The drought has ended! It also has great staying power. (Note: Make sure to use an unscented body emulsion... Mixing it with fragranced products is... well...)
