In my early 20s, I had a dry complexion, but later on, my skin became an oily, unpredictable mess, causing me a lot of stress. But using this product has helped me escape the oil slick. I don't have a single complaint - it's been a godsend for me. 🥺

I used to struggle with excessive sebum production no matter what I tried, but ever since using this product, my face is no longer shiny with oil...I realized I should have been using a mildly acidic product all along. 😭

I really soak the cotton pads with water.
Thoroughly soaking them helps minimize irritation.

I just noticed it has phenoxyethanol in it.
For dry skin, it's really drying after use
You need to quickly follow up with other treatments.
I usually use this, then immediately do a water cleanse and go into my skincare routine.

I don't do eye makeup or lipstick, but I use a lot of mineral sunscreen and waterproof sunscreen

 I've tried all sorts of cotton pads, and here's what I think:

The Face Shop 5-ply cotton pads: Excellent, minimal pilling, but the quality is inconsistent.
Innisfree 5-ply cotton pads: The cotton is too thin, not great.
Olive Young 5-ply cotton pads: Pilling issues, so I don't recommend those.
Barun 3-ply cotton pads: Excellent quality, but quite pricey. The white color is a bit disappointing too.

☞ I'm currently using the Barun cotton pads. They work great with my cleansing water, using just the right amount.

 The only downside is that it's not very well-known, so I'm worried it might get discontinued. That's why I'm sharing this product now, feeling a sense of urgency.

The price is cheap, the ingredients are clean, and even someone with skin troubles like me doesn't get any breakouts from it. And on top of that, it removes makeup really well!

Hmm, actually there is one more minor downside:

1. Since it's a mildly acidic product, it doesn't rinse off in a squeaky-clean way. To get that smooth, slippery-clean feeling, it takes a bit more time to thoroughly cleanse.

Other than that, it's truly amazing! I love this Laneige product!

 Look out, those of you who get skin troubles from using the wrong cleansing products!
It's strange, but on the days when I diligently used cleansing products after makeup, my skin ended up even more messed up! If that's been happening to you, be sure to check the ingredients of your cleansing products as well.
I used to only use foaming cleansers with lots of bubbles, and ended up getting huge breakouts that wouldn't go away. Even now, I'm not sure why, but no matter if it's a mild acidic product from Sidmool or anything else, foam cleansers just don't seem to work for me..
So I ended up surviving by just double-cleansing with cleansing water alone - just wiping my face twice with cleansing water.

1. This product has fewer ingredients compared to other cleansing waters. That's why it's safer for me - the chances of having ingredients that don't agree with me, like glycerin and hyaluronic acid, are lower. You might be surprised that glycerin doesn't agree with me, but it's true. I also avoid glycerin in creams and toners.

2. Even without moisturizing ingredients like glycerin, it still leaves my skin feeling hydrated. There's no tightness or dryness after using it. (I have dry skin.)

3. True to its name "Perfect Cleansing", it removes makeup really well. Honestly, even just the first cleanse gets my foundation off completely clean. I double-cleanse just in case, but there's nothing left behind.
I've tried the blue Bioderma one and the Iope Derma Cleansing Water, and the Tea Tree Cleansing Water, but this is the one I've been repurchasing, over 5 bottles now.

* As a reference, I couldn't use the Bioderma products because they caused breakouts for me. The ingredients looked good, being minimal, but it just didn't work for me.
The Iope Derma Repair products are all great, but the cleansing power is a bit lacking compared to this one.

4. It's very affordable. During sales online, I can get a bottle for 7,500 won with free shipping.

It's worth buying when it's on sale, but if you buy it when it's not on sale, it's a bit of a waste of money.

Compared to the Bioderma cleansing water I used before, it stings my eyes when removing eye makeup. If you don't wipe it off carefully, it makes your eyes tear up during cleansing...

It has excellent cleansing power, but it's not too heavy and has a refreshing feel. After cleansing, you can rinse it off thoroughly with just water.

Have you ever tried using a cleansing water right after waking up, instead of immediately washing your face? There was a period when I couldn't do my full skincare routine in the mornings, and I'd wake up feeling like my makeup was going to slide right off. So I'd quickly cleanse with a cotton pad and then wash my face. Let me tell you, I was shocked when I saw the amount of residue on that cotton pad! Even though I had double-cleansed the night before and diligently done my skincare, my skin was still holding onto so much gunk. 

Especially in the winter, when you're using rich moisturizers, you may find that a lot of product has been absorbed overnight. Even though you're going to wash your face anyway, if you're short on time and can't do a full routine, I recommend quickly cleansing with a cleansing water right when you wake up, before washing. You'll be surprised at how much better your makeup applies after that!

 * Price
In this day and age, there are so many affordable and effective cleansing waters available, so some may feel this is a bit pricey. However, you can find good deals when Aritaum has sales or by taking advantage of online discounts!

* Fragrance
The peppermint scent is fine, but there's also an underlying unpleasant odor. Even after it dries down, the scent lingers subtly.

 I'm writing this review because I really want to recommend this product to you.

* Cleansing
It cleanses thoroughly as a first-step cleansing. I feel like it's sweeping away all the impurities. Yet, it's not irritating at all. Even though I used the same amount of base makeup, I felt that more of it was removed compared to other cleansing waters.

* Ingredients
It has a mild acidic pH that's perfect for the skin. Moreover, it's oil-free. So it's suitable for people like me who don't get along well with cleansing oils.

* When you're too tired
No need for water cleansing. When you come home exhausted and just want to collapse, or when you don't even have the energy to change your clothes... but you're still worried about your skin the next day... I've used this to quickly cleanse and then just crashed until morning. It didn't leave my skin feeling tight or cause any breakouts. (But when you're of sound mind, it's still better to properly wash your face and then sleep, probably because of the scent haha) Look at the third photo! I applied foundation on the back of my hand for a patch test and then wiped it off - doesn't it look squeaky clean?

I've already used up more than 5 bottles, but I still haven't found any unsatisfactory aspects

When choosing a cleansing water, the most important thing to consider is definitely skin troubles. Even if the cleansing power is good, some products can cause breakouts, but Laneige does not cause any troubles.
And the finish is refreshing.

I would soak a cotton pad with it and use it to remove my makeup. And sometimes when I had a lot of blackheads on my nose, I would do a water cleansing-oil cleansing-foam cleansing-toning routine, and the blackheads would subside a bit.

I don't remember the original price being very affordable, but I bought it during a 1+1 promotion, so it was okay.
