It's a mildly acidic, calming toner with a watery consistency that doesn't feel sticky when used as a cleansing toner. I loved the pleasant herbal scent! As a cleansing toner, it felt light and refreshing. It has a boosting effect for the next skincare steps, helping with the absorption of essences. Overall, it's a reliable product that fulfills its role as a cleansing toner nicely!
ConsWhile it was moisturizing due to its high hydration content, for someone with super sensitive skin like me, I felt a bit of dryness if I didn't immediately apply the next product in my routine.
TipI found it works best when you soak a cotton pad generously and wipe your face, then pat a bit more directly onto your skin with your hands. This method left my complexion feeling even more hydrated!

First off, the texture is incredibly lightweight and refreshing, and it absorbs quickly. Just pat it in a few times and it's absorbed in no time! While some people dislike the scent, I found it fresh and pleasant. But what I want to praise the most is that out of all the toners I've tried, this one has been the most effective for redness and blemishes! I've always thought toners weren't very functional, but this product is different. It has a cooling effect and you can really feel your skin calming down and settling. I'll share more details in the tips section.
ConsPerhaps because the weather is still dry, I didn't feel like it provided a lot of hydration. However, considering it's a toner and given the benefits I mentioned earlier, I don't really see this as a major drawback. I'm considering repurchasing, but the price per volume is a bit high, so I'm hesitating a little.
TipThe photos were taken about a week apart. Due to lighting, the scars look more prominent in the second photo, but that's not actually the case. This toner really helped improve redness and had a great calming effect! I used to only have occasional small pimples and the odd inflamed one when tired, but since last November, I started getting large, severe acne. Once a big one burst, it wouldn't settle down easily, so now I'm just focusing on consistent care. Among the various products I've tried, this one shows relatively quick and visible results! Here's my tip: After cleansing, I spray my face 2-3 times with this toner that I've put in a mist bottle. Then I soak a cotton pad with the toner and leave it on acne-prone areas for about 5 minutes. This makes my skin feel cooler, and the redness and inflammation actually improve bit by bit! I use serums and moisturizers too, so I don't do this every day, just every 2-3 days. I've only been using it for just over a week, but I'm happy to see results. (The bottle isn't very big, so using it this way might use it up quickly. But if it works, I'll just have to buy more! For now, I'm grateful to have found a product that works for me.)

It seems great for soothing the skin. As someone with combination dehydrated skin that responds well to Houttuynia Cordata, I experienced no irritation, and its calming effect is as good as Houttuynia Cordata itself! The watery consistency makes it perfect as an exfoliating toner, leaving my skin feeling refined. It's excellent as a toner. Plus, the herbal, grassy scent is natural rather than artificial, making it pleasant to use.
ConsIf I had to point out a downside, it might be a bit drying for those with very dry skin due to its ultra-light texture.
TipI used it as an exfoliating toner. I applied it with a cotton pad to refine my skin texture, then patted in the remaining product for absorption. On days when my skin felt dry or irritated, I applied an extra layer by hand like a skin, followed by essence and moisturizer. This routine worked perfectly for my combination dehydrated skin!

First off, I have dry skin, and lately I've been experiencing breakouts here and there. I switched only this toner in my usual routine and used it for about a week. It's not a sticky or overly moisturizing formula, but rather a watery texture that's perfect for wiping on. It refines the skin texture while leaving a fresh finish. I looked into the ingredients, and they seem gentle. I didn't experience any blemishes or redness while using it. I've seen comments about the scent being divisive, but I actually liked it. It has a subtle, clean fragrance that reminds me of mugwort, which I found quite pleasant.
ConsI think this product is best suited as an exfoliating toner, and it's not really meant to provide deep hydration for dry skin. You'll need to supplement that moisture with other creams or skincare products. Also, it's worth noting that you might end up using it quite generously. For me, it wasn't an exceptionally good or bad toner. If the price were lower, it would be a good choice as an exfoliating toner.

I'm writing this on the last day of the review period to ensure I've used the product as long as possible. Positives: Ingredients, texture, absorption, scent, and soothing effects With 96.9% Salvia plebeia extract as the first ingredient, I think it's great from an ingredient standpoint. The texture is like a regular water-based toner that absorbs well and leaves a fresh finish, making it perfect for summer. I'd highly recommend it for those with oily skin! The scent is natural and pleasant, not artificial at all! The toner has a light green tint from the natural ingredients. It's so light that when applied with a cotton pad, it's transparent and not noticeable. For skin soothing, when I had a sudden outbreak of small blemishes on my forehead, I used it as a 30-minute skin pack. It was great at reducing the swelling! However, it was a bit disappointing in terms of reducing redness...
ConsDrawbacks: Too refreshing for dry or combination-dry skin, somewhat disappointing in reducing redness I didn't have many issues personally, but I wouldn't recommend it as a winter or seasonal transition toner for dry skin. It's very refreshing~~ While it's good at reducing swelling for skin soothing, it was a bit disappointing in reducing redness. I couldn't take a photo, but when I squeezed some small blemishes that had appeared on my forehead, it left red marks here and there. So I did a 30-minute skin pack with the Salvia toner, but the redness didn't completely subside... 30 minutes isn't a short time for a skin pack, so I was a bit disappointed that the redness only partially subsided.
TipI occasionally added 2-3 drops of a BHA-containing ampoule to this toner, and I found this method great for daily exfoliation while keeping the skin fresh, especially for those with oily or combination-oily skin. Also, I liked the Salvia Calming Ampoule sample from the same line that came with it, as it was effective in soothing red blemishes. I have many ampoules to use up now, but I'm considering purchasing the Salvia Calming Ampoule after I finish my current ones!

I don't usually use toners, but after winning a Hwahae Testers giveaway, I received this product on the 12th and used it daily for a week. I applied it generously with a cotton pad, and it felt refreshing and hydrating. I didn't experience any blemishes or discomfort while using it. After wiping my face once, I also patted some onto my skin with my hands, which prevented any feeling of dryness. However, you'll still need to follow up with an emulsion or cream, as it's not quite moisturizing enough on its own. When I layered it multiple times, it provided a nice hydrating effect without causing any irritation. I think this toner works well as a simple cleansing toner that you can use without worrying about any skin reactions.
ConsThere weren't any particular downsides. It's just a basic cleansing toner - nothing more, nothing less.

Product appearance: The container is made of clean, lightweight plastic. Scent: It's a toner containing Swiss chard, and it has a fresh, herbal scent! It's not overwhelming at all, just a pleasant and refreshing fragrance. Hydration level: As someone with oily skin, I found it nicely moisturizing! The watery texture might feel a bit light for those with dry skin. It's similar to other regular toners in terms of hydration. I have acne-prone, oily skin and have always struggled with blemishes. While I can't say this product completely solved my issues, I've noticed fewer breakouts since I started using it. It's really great for oily skin types as it feels so refreshing. I'm truly satisfied! I think this would be great for others with similar skin concerns to mine!
ConsI didn't really notice any significant downsides. Though if you're someone who dislikes fragranced skincare products, you might not appreciate it. But personally, I find the scent really fresh and pleasant!

First off, this deserves a round of applause. What I value most in a toner is how it feels when I wipe my neck - it shouldn't be sticky and should feel fresh! I'm truly satisfied with this one. Whether I'm using it with cotton pads or applying it another way, it's genuinely refreshing. You know how in summer, right after a shower, you start sweating and feeling sticky? This toner would be perfect for those moments! It feels even more refreshing than water. It smooths out skin texture and removes residue effectively. It gives more of a hydrating feel rather than a moisturizing one. I also love that it has gentle ingredients. As someone who chooses skincare products based on ingredients, this one passes with flying colors! It's a refreshing toner that doesn't feel sticky or heavy even when you apply a lot.
ConsFirst off, it seems a bit pricey. I wish it were just a tad more affordable. The opening of the bottle is slightly recessed, which I found quite inconvenient. I wouldn't recommend it for absorption or as a skin pack - it's better with a cotton pad. This is because no matter how much you apply or try to absorb it, you don't get that feeling of hydration building up in your skin. It just keeps feeling fresh, which could lead to wasting the product. I'm not sure about its soothing effects.
TipI found using it with a cotton pad worked best for me! This is because no matter how much you apply, it doesn't give that feeling of deeply hydrating the skin. Highly recommended for those with oily skin or as a summer toner. For those with dry skin who prefer a moisturizing, rich toner from the start, I wouldn't recommend it. However, if you're looking for something to smooth out your skin texture and remove residue, I'd definitely suggest giving it a try.
