Pros
The product had excellent absorption and a cooling sensation. After going through a lot of skin troubles and trying various products, I decided to prioritize soothing and look for a product with minimal irritation, based on the positive reviews I saw. And the conclusion is - I absolutely love it!! I used the full set, including the toner, ampoule, and soothing gel. For the first 1-2 weeks, I didn't really feel much, as my skin troubles were quite severe, and I had been using a cleansing device incorrectly, causing a lot of peeling and irritation. But unlike other products, this one didn't feel stinging at all. Now, after almost a month of use, with about 70% of the bottle consumed, I'm still using it diligently morning and evening! There's no stickiness, and the cooling effect is great for soothing.
Cons
I don't have any major complaints. However, if you don't like a drying or sticky feeling, the toner alone might not be enough. I have combination skin, and using just the toner felt a bit drying. But since you'll likely be using other products along with it, this shouldn't be a significant drawback. Hwahae Trial Reviewer review. First of all, the usage feels really light and refreshing, and the absorption is also fast. Just a few pats with your hands and it absorbs quickly!! Some people may not like the scent, but I found it to be pleasantly fragrant~ However, the thing I want to praise the most is that among all the toners I've used so far, this one was the most effective in reducing redness and blemishes!!!! I was aware that toners don't usually have much functionality, but this product was different. It has a cooling effect, and my skin definitely felt soothed and calmed. After cleansing, I would spray the toner I had pre-filled in a mist bottle 2-3 times all over my face to absorb it. Then I would soak a cotton pad with the toner and leave it on the acne areas for about 5 minutes!! After that, the skin in that area would feel much more refreshed, and the redness and inflammation would visibly improve a little bit!! I didn't do this every day, but 2-3 times a week, along with using an ampoule and a moisturizer. Even though I've only been using it for a little over a week, I'm happy to see the effects. (+ But the volume is not that big, so if I keep using it this way, I'll probably run out quickly ㅠㅠ Then I'll have to buy a new one, haha. For now, I'm grateful to have found a product that works for me ㅋㅋㅋㅋ)

This product seems to be just right for cleansing purposes! There's no stickiness, and the watery formula was quickly absorbed, which is great. The texture is refreshing. It seems to be well-absorbed and effective in soothing the skin. As a sensitive skin type who is compatible with mugwort, there is no irritation at all, and the soothing effect is as good as mugwort! This is a review I wrote after being selected as a Hwahae Trial Reviewer! I decided to write the review on the last day of the review period, in order to use the product for as long as possible. What I liked: Ingredients, texture, absorption, fragrance, soothing I think the product is good in terms of ingredients, as the main ingredient is 96.9% Salvia Miltiorrhiza Extract, a natural ingredient. The texture is that of a regular water-based toner, with excellent absorption and a refreshing finish, so I think it would work well as a summer toner. It's even suitable for oily skin types! The fragrance is natural and not artificial, which I liked. The toner has a light green color from the natural ingredients, and it becomes transparent when applied to a cotton pad, so it doesn't leave any visible residue. When I had a bunch of small pimples on my forehead, I used it as a 30-minute face pack, and it helped reduce the puffiness well. However, it was somewhat lacking in reducing redness.
Cons
Downsides: May be too refreshing for dry or dry-combination skin, somewhat lacking in reducing redness I personally didn't have any major downsides, but I wouldn't recommend this toner as a winter or transitional season toner for dry skin types. It's just too refreshing. While it helped reduce the puffiness of the pimples well, it was somewhat lacking in reducing the redness. I couldn't take a photo, but after squeezing the small pimples on my forehead, redness appeared in various areas. So I did a 30-minute face pack with the Salvia toner, but the redness didn't subside completely. 30 minutes may have been too short a time for a face pack, but the redness only went down partially, which was a bit disappointing.
Tip
I sometimes added 2-3 drops of an ampoule containing Centella ingredients to this toner, and I found this method to be good for daily exfoliation while keeping the skin refreshed, especially for oily or combination-oily skin types. Other products can feel sticky after application, but this one had no stickiness at all and absorbed into my skin incredibly well, which I really liked! My skin is sensitive, and when I use products that don't suit me, my skin gets red and irritated right away. But even after using this product for several days, I didn't experience any of that, so I've been using it really, really well. This product also has a calming effect on blemishes, so I highly recommend it to those with sensitive skin. If you use the ampoule sold here together with this, you can feel the blemish-calming effect even faster!

Tip

My skin is combination with dehydration. The absorption is very fast, and the fragrance, if any, is not overbearing. When applied to a cotton pad, it gives a sense of skin refinement. Even without exfoliating during use, the dead skin did not seem to peel off easily.
