Its mildness seems to significantly reduce blemishes. I'm using it in various ways - as an exfoliating toner, letting it absorb into my skin, or as a toner mask. It's so versatile!
ConsThe quantity is a bit small and it's on the pricier side. However, for those with super sensitive skin, this toner seems to be the absolute best option.

I plan to keep purchasing it.
ConsThe watery texture means a lot gets wasted as it runs off, but I end up using it quite liberally.
TipI apply it with a cotton pad

I was struggling with skin issues and trying various products when I decided to prioritize soothing. After watching a video about this product being gentle and calming, I decided to give it a try. To cut to the chase, I absolutely love it! I used the set including the toner, ampoule, and soothing gel. For the first 1-2 weeks, I didn't notice much difference. My blemishes were severe, and my skin was flaky and irritated from misusing a cleansing device. While other products stung, this one felt gentle and didn't cause any discomfort. Now, after almost a month of use and about 70% of the bottle, I'm still using it morning and night! It's non-sticky, has a cooling effect, and is great for soothing the skin.
ConsI don't have any major complaints. However, using just the toner might be a bit drying now. If you don't like sticky textures, I'd recommend this. I have combination skin, and while it might be a bit drying on its own, most people use other products alongside it, so I don't consider this a real drawback. It's a shame that there isn't much advertising, so many people might not know about this product.
TipIf your goal is to soothe your skin, I recommend applying the ampoule that comes in the set all over your face, then soaking a pad with the toner. Before placing the pad on your face, apply another layer of ampoule to problem areas. Leave the pad on for 5-10 minutes to allow absorption. When I'm concerned about blemishes, I apply the ampoule, then layer on Nature Republic's Vita Pair C Dark Spot Serum before using the pad. This toner is much less irritating than others, which is why I prefer using it for this method.

There's absolutely no viscosity or stickiness. Soothing: The calming effect is truly remarkable! Since I wear a mask daily, the areas where it touches my skin inevitably become itchy and red. To alleviate this, I would soak a cotton pad with this toner and apply it like a mask. It calmed down quickly! I think it would be great for when you need rapid soothing. Gentle: It's completely mild! Throughout the period of use, I didn't experience any blemishes or tingling sensations! Of course, this could be because I don't have super sensitive skin. Overall, it was an exfoliating toner that's easy to use without any issues!
ConsAlthough I have dry skin, those with extremely dry skin might find it a bit drying~ Of course, I do apply the next skincare step right after using the toner, but it absorbs so quickly that I sometimes wonder, 'Did I even use toner?' While exfoliating toners are generally used to manage any residue or impurities left after cleansing, I think those who prioritize hydration from the toner step might not be too fond of this.
TipWhile it's good to use with a cotton pad, I personally think it might be even better to use it generously as a skin pack!

I've been using cica products after dermatological procedures, but I developed a tolerance. While it claims to reset and balance oil and moisture with centella extract, I didn't notice significant effects. Recently, I've needed skin soothing, so I've been using it as a pack with cotton pads before applying cream. It feels like a gentle booster toner. I expected a strong plant scent due to the high extract content, but the subtle herbal fragrance was pleasant.
ConsThere's not much to complain about. If I had to pick something, it's that I didn't see dramatic results, so next time I plan to use it with an ampoule.
TipI used it as a 5-minute pack with cotton pads before applying ampoule or cream, then used it as an exfoliating toner. It was less drying than other toners!

I decided to try this product because of its gentle ingredients. When my previous toner ran out, I was looking for a new one and noticed that among the popular products, there weren't many with zero caution ingredients. The instructions suggested using it as an exfoliating toner, so I even bought cotton pads to try it out. It feels refreshing when applied. The texture is completely water-like. Compared to my previous water-based toner, the Dokdo toner, which felt like applying water but slightly more hydrating, this Green Salvia toner feels like applying a non-evaporating alcohol. It's not exactly the 'ahh-refreshing' sensation you get with alcohol-based toners, but there's definitely a sense of freshness (and I mean that as a compliment). Honestly, I don't have problematic skin with blemishes, so I can't say it improved any skin troubles, but I did feel like it refined my skin texture. It also seemed to help the next skincare steps absorb better. The scent was pleasantly subtle too! It's lavender, and when you apply it right after showering before bed... the fragrance is absolutely divine. Despite the reason I'll mention below, I'd recommend this as a clean, refreshing toner for anyone who doesn't have extremely dry skin like mine.
ConsThe Hwahae Testers are about honest evaluations, not promotions! So here's my candid review. Lately, I've been using my boyfriend's toner (Alpine Berry) and it's made my skin quite dehydrated and finicky. I have very dry skin. Right after washing, if I apply this toner immediately, it's okay. But if I get distracted for a moment and my face dries a bit before applying, I don't feel that moisturizing, hydrating effect. Even when I apply emulsion afterwards, my skin feels rough. Applying two or three layers helps a bit, but it doesn't completely eliminate the rough texture. Adding more layers doesn't seem to increase hydration significantly. Once again, I'm reminded that for someone with very dry skin like me, it's not easy to hydrate with a water-based toner. I think I prefer toners with a bit more moisturizing power, something with a slightly milky texture.
TipWith water-based formulas like this, I like to use a cotton pad to sweep it across my face once for cleansing, then pat more into my skin with my hands for hydration. If my skin feels too dry, I sometimes splash a bit more water on my face, pat it dry with a towel, then apply the toner.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsAs a member of The Hwahae Testers, here's my review: I started using this toner when I first began working and suddenly developed milia. I was also taking prescription medication (Zerocutan) from my dermatologist. What I really appreciated about this toner was that it didn't aggravate my skin or cause any significant irritation. I believe this is due to the gentle ingredients in the product! One thing that stands out is that unlike other brands where purified water is often the first (and most abundant) ingredient, Green Salvia contains 96.9% Salvia plebeia extract. Salvia plebeia, also known as 'sage of immortality', is an herb with reported anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. The scent, which some reviews mention as potentially divisive, wasn't overpowering at all, which I liked. This is actually my first time being selected as a Hwahae Tester, and even though I received this product for free, I wanted to give a truly honest review. While it may not have a dramatic soothing effect, for those with super sensitive skin, preventing further blemishes or skin deterioration is crucial. Personally, I'm quite satisfied with this product.
ConsIf there's one drawback, it's that this is purely a watery toner. It would be perfect for those looking for just a toner step in their routine. However, you'll need to ensure you follow up with an emulsion and cream to properly hydrate your skin.
TipOn days when I have a lot of milia on my forehead, I soak a cotton pad with this toner and place it on the affected area. It seems to help with hydration and soothing the skin.

It seems great for soothing the skin. As someone with combination dehydrated skin that responds well to Houttuynia Cordata, I experienced no irritation, and its calming effect is as good as Houttuynia Cordata itself! The watery consistency makes it perfect as an exfoliating toner, leaving my skin feeling refined. It's excellent as a toner. Plus, the herbal, grassy scent is natural rather than artificial, making it pleasant to use.
ConsIf I had to point out a downside, it might be a bit drying for those with very dry skin due to its ultra-light texture.
TipI used it as an exfoliating toner. I applied it with a cotton pad to refine my skin texture, then patted in the remaining product for absorption. On days when my skin felt dry or irritated, I applied an extra layer by hand like a skin, followed by essence and moisturizer. This routine worked perfectly for my combination dehydrated skin!

First off, I have dry skin, and lately I've been experiencing breakouts here and there. I switched only this toner in my usual routine and used it for about a week. It's not a sticky or overly moisturizing formula, but rather a watery texture that's perfect for wiping on. It refines the skin texture while leaving a fresh finish. I looked into the ingredients, and they seem gentle. I didn't experience any blemishes or redness while using it. I've seen comments about the scent being divisive, but I actually liked it. It has a subtle, clean fragrance that reminds me of mugwort, which I found quite pleasant.
ConsI think this product is best suited as an exfoliating toner, and it's not really meant to provide deep hydration for dry skin. You'll need to supplement that moisture with other creams or skincare products. Also, it's worth noting that you might end up using it quite generously. For me, it wasn't an exceptionally good or bad toner. If the price were lower, it would be a good choice as an exfoliating toner.

My skin type is normal, but I think I would have given it 5 stars if I had used it during my extremely oily skin phase. Personally, I prefer watery toners, so I didn't mind that it absorbed quickly or felt less hydrating. I've used 5 bottles of Mamonde toner before, and comparing the two, this one doesn't cause any burning sensation or tingling when applied. I also didn't experience any deep dryness. It seems to be a very gentle product indeed. The scent reminded me of natural cosmetics.
ConsStrangely, while I don't feel any deep dryness, the skin's surface feels dry as the hydration evaporates quickly. The finish feels a bit too matte for a toner. Since I usually apply toner with a cotton pad to wipe my skin, I hardly feel any surface hydration. Also, I find the price a bit high for the amount you get, which is disappointing.
TipThis product seems like it would be fantastic for those with oily skin types. For me, it's too light of a toner at the moment, so I'll start using it when the weather gets warmer.
