Since it's so gentle, breakouts seem to be reduced significantly. I can use it as a cleansing toner, absorb it and apply, or use it as a toner pack - I'm using it in various ways.
Cons✔️ The amount seems a bit small and the price is a bit high. But for sensitive skin, this toner seems to be the best.

ConsIt's a water-based formula, so it flows a lot and feels wasteful, but it ends up feeling dry and tight.
TipThe toner is accompanied by Dr.

After going through a lot of skin troubles and trying various products, I decided to prioritize soothing and look for a product with minimal irritation, based on the positive reviews I saw. And the conclusion is - I absolutely love it!! I used the full set, including the toner, ampoule, and soothing gel. For the first 1-2 weeks, I didn't really feel much, as my skin troubles were quite severe, and I had been using a cleansing device incorrectly, causing a lot of peeling and irritation. But unlike other products, this one didn't feel stinging at all. Now, after almost a month of use, with about 70% of the bottle consumed, I'm still using it diligently morning and evening! There's no stickiness, and the cooling effect is great for soothing.
ConsI don't have any major complaints. However, if you don't like a drying or sticky feeling, the toner alone might not be enough. I have combination skin, and using just the toner felt a bit drying. But since you'll likely be using other products along with it, this shouldn't be a significant drawback. The only downside is that the product doesn't seem to be heavily advertised, so many people may not be aware of it.
TipFor soothing purposes, I recommend applying the ampoule all over the face, and then using the toner-soaked pads, adding a bit more ampoule to the key areas before pressing the pads onto the skin and letting it absorb for 5-10 minutes. If you're concerned about scarring, after applying the ampoule, you can also use the Nature Republic Vita-Pair C Spot Serum and then press the toner pads onto the skin. I find this toner to be much less irritating than other toners, so I prefer to use it.

There is no viscosity or stickiness at all. 😊 Soothing The soothing effect is very, very good! Since I wear a mask every day, the areas that come into contact with my skin have been itchy and red without fail ㅠㅠ I would soak a cotton pad with this toner and use it as a pack to calm it down, and it would calm down quickly! I think this would be great when you want to soothe your skin quickly. 😊 Low Irritation It's completely gentle! I didn't have any trouble or stinging during the time I used it! Of course, I may not have extremely sensitive skin, so that could be the reason ㅎㅎ Overall, this was a good toner that was easy to use without any issues!
Cons😅 Even though I have dry skin, I think it could feel drying for those with extremely dry skin~ Of course, I use the next step of my skincare routine right after using the toner, but it gets absorbed very quickly, so I sometimes forget that I even used the toner. The cleansing toner is used to manage the remaining residue or waste after cleansing, but for those who consider moisturizing to be the most important step in the toner stage, they might not like it that much!
TipIt's good to use it by soaking a cotton pad, but personally, I think it's even better to use it as a skin pack by soaking it generously!

I had been using cicaplast products due to dermatological treatments, but I developed resistance to them. While the Brassica oleracea extract is said to help balance moisture and provide reset care, I didn't really notice a significant difference. Recently, when my skin needed soothing, I used it as a facial mask before applying my cream, and it felt like a gentle, soothing booster toner. I thought the scent would be strong since it's over 96% extract, but the subtle herbal fragrance was pleasant.
ConsThere's nothing disappointing. If I had to pick one, it's that I didn't see any dramatic effects, so I'll try using it with an ampoule next time.
TipI used a cotton pad to apply it as a 5-minute mask before using my ampoule or cream, and my skin felt less dry compared to when I used other toners.

As my toner was running out, I noticed that among the more well-known products, there are surprisingly few with 0 irritating ingredients. The instructions said to use it like a cleansing water, so I even bought cotton pads to try it out. When applied, it gives a refreshing feeling. The texture is completely watery. Compared to my previous water toner, the Dokdo Toner, this one feels more like applying just plain water, while the Green Salvia one felt like applying non-evaporating alcohol. It's not as 'whoosh-y' as alcohol-containing toners, but it still feels refreshing... (This is praise) Honestly, I don't have troubled skin or anything, so I can't say it improved my skin troubles, but I did feel like my skin texture became more refined. I also felt like the next skincare step absorbed better. The lavender scent was also nice and subtle! If you apply it right after showering before bed, the scent is really lovely... But unless your skin is as dry as mine, I'd recommend this clean toner.
ConsThe Hwahae Trial Reviewers are meant to provide honest reviews, not just promotional content! Here's my honest review. Lately, I've been using my boyfriend's toner (Alpine Berry) and my basic skincare has been getting a bit tricky^^ I have very dry skin, and while this toner is fine right after cleansing, if I get distracted for a bit and then apply it, my skin starts feeling dry again. And when I apply moisturizer, it still feels a bit rough. Applying it a second or third time does help a bit, but the roughness in my skin doesn't really go away. Reapplying doesn't really make my skin feel more hydrated either. I guess for skin as dry as mine, a water-based toner just isn't enough to properly hydrate it. I think I still do better with a toner that has a slightly milky, more moisturizing texture.
TipFor these watery formulas, I like to first wipe my face with a cotton pad, then apply some more directly to my palms and press it into my skin. If it still feels too dry, I'll just splash some water on my face, blot with a towel, and then apply the toner.

Personally, I found that using this toner did not worsen my skin condition and there was no significant irritation, which I really liked. It seems this is possible because the product's ingredients are gentle. ✔️Particularly with other brands' products, purified water is usually listed as the first (largest proportion) ingredient. However, the Green Salvia contains 96.9% Perilla frutescens extract. Perilla frutescens, also known as the 'leaf of ten thousand tastes', is a medicinal herb. In Korea, it is also called 'bear's head cabbage', and apparently has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties! ✔️The scent, which some reviews mentioned may be divisive, was not overly strong, which I appreciated. ✔️This is actually the first time I've been selected as a Hwahae Trial Reviewer, and since I received the product for free, I'm trying to be completely honest. While it doesn't have a strong calming effect, for those with sensitive skin, the fact that it doesn't cause any new issues or worsen the condition is just as important, in my opinion. I'm personally satisfied with it.
ConsThe downside is that it is a complete drying toner. It will likely suit those who only use it as a drying toner, but you will need to supplement it well with a moisturizing lotion and cream.
TipOn days when I have a lot of milia popping up on my forehead, I soak a cotton pad with it and put it on. It seems to help with hydration and soothing.

It seems to be well-absorbed and effective in soothing the skin. As a sensitive skin type who is compatible with mugwort, there is no irritation at all, and the soothing effect is as good as mugwort! The watery texture made it great to use as a cleansing toner, and my skin felt refined and polished afterwards. It's also wonderful to use as a toner - the herbal, grassy fragrance is not artificial, so it was pleasant to use.
ConsIf I had to pick something, it might be a bit drying for dry skin types due to how refreshing it is.
TipI used it as a cleansing toner. I would dispense some onto a cotton pad, use it to gently refine my skin texture, and then pat the remaining product into my skin. On days when I felt a bit dry or irritated, I would dispense some into my hands and use it like a skin softener, following up with an essence and moisturizer. As a sensitive skin type, this routine worked really well for me.

My skin type is dry, and I've been getting a lot of acne breakouts lately. I tried this product for about a week, replacing it with my usual routine. It's a toner that flows like water, making it easy to wipe on. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and not sticky or heavy. The ingredients seem gentle, and I didn't experience any irritation or redness from using it. I saw some reviews saying the scent is divisive, but I actually quite like the subtle, clean fragrance, almost like mugwort.
ConsThis product is probably best suited for just using as a toner, and not for providing deep hydration for dry skin. That kind of moisture would need to come from other products like a cream. And there's also the issue of using it up quickly since it's quite watery. Overall, it's not an exceptionally good or bad product for me, just a fairly average toner. If the price is low, it could be a good option to use just as a toner.

Although my skin type is normal, I think I would have given it 5 stars if I had used it when my skin was extremely oily. Personally, I enjoy water-type toners, so I didn't mind that it absorbs quickly or doesn't feel overly moisturizing. I've used 5 bottles of the Mamonde toner, and when comparing the two, this one doesn't cause any stinging or tightness upon application, and I don't feel any pulling sensation. It also seems to be a very gentle product. The scent is similar to that of natural cosmetics.
ConsStrangely, while there is no tightening sensation, the surface of my skin feels quite dry as the moisture evaporates quickly. The finish feels a bit powdery, not quite like a typical toner. Since I usually apply toner by soaking a cotton pad, I don't get much of a moisturizing sensation on the skin's surface. Additionally, the price-to-volume ratio is a bit high, which is a bit disappointing.
TipThis product seems like it would be excellent for those with oily skin types. For me, it's a bit too lightweight to use right now, but I'll probably start using it more as the weather gets warmer.
