I really liked the rich, creamy texture. Despite the oil content, it surprisingly didn't trigger any breakouts. This would be perfect for those with dry skin rather than oily or combination dehydrated skin. There was a slight feeling that it might clog pores. The texture might feel a bit heavy for those with oily or combination dehydrated skin. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinJan 23, 2025
Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin Prone to pores / More prone to whiteheads than pus-filled blemishes Medium skin thickness / Not particularly sensitive I bought this to boost hydration after getting a Pico laser treatment at the dermatologist. I tried a sample first and liked it more than expected, so I immediately chose this product! Of course, if you apply too much, it can feel rich. I apply just a small amount after my toner and serum! In my opinion, it's perfectly suitable for combination dehydrated skin too. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. It's only natural that excessive application leads to oiliness and clogged pores! For those like me who want to focus on hydration after a Pico laser treatment, I recommend paying extra attention when applying it to the treated areas. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 19, 2024
The ingredients are so gentle, and it leaves my skin feeling firm and supple. I have this feeling that my skin has actually improved since I started using this! The price is way too high... I'm trying to use it sparingly. Also, it's disappointing that when I apply too much, it can clog my pores and occasionally cause blemishes to appear. Try testing it out by applying small amounts at a time. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 19, 2024
I thought the texture would be heavy and greasy, but it's not. Being fragrance-free, it's likely to suit everyone. The absorption is good. While it absorbs well, it feels a bit sticky after application. It's not smooth, but rather has a squeaky-clean feeling. Also, it's disappointing that mineral oil is among the ingredients. Having combination skin, I avoid using it on my face for fear it might clog my pores. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 19, 2024
The texture is pleasantly moisturizing without being greasy, and its matte finish makes it comfortable to apply. Amazingly, it absorbs instantly upon application. Unlike other sensitive, low-irritation cosmetics I've tried before, which often caused facial redness and allergic reactions after just one use (forcing me to give them away or stash them), this product passes the test as it doesn't trigger any itching, irritation, or redness. I'm also really impressed that it doesn't lead to any oily shine even hours after application. While it's not specifically designed for pore care, for some reason it seems to accentuate large pores, which is a bit disappointing. Rather than offering dramatic results, it's more of a gentle, low-irritation product true to its name, focusing on facial hydration and care for those with super sensitive skin. When applied right after cleansing while the skin is still damp, you can skip toner and just use this cream alone for a fresh moisturizing effect without any oiliness. It's great for those with dry hands or for use anywhere on the body! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 17, 2024
(An honest review from a Hwahae Tester after using the product) Skin type: Extremely sensitive (reacts to even one or two ingredients!!) (recently suffered from dermatitis, so it's quite severe), dry, prone to blemishes + atopic After suffering from dermatitis, I've tried almost all the famous gentle Korean skincare products. I thought dermatological cosmetics might be better, so I've been using only those. I've been using Physiogel, Uriage, and Bioderma for everything from cleansing to basic skincare. Since this was a product I wanted to try, I checked it more thoroughly! ⭐️ Hydration It doesn't seem to contain shea butter, but the hydration is amazing. Looking at the ingredient list, I noticed it contains ceramides. This might be a great product for those who respond well to ceramides (like Atobarrier)! ⭐️ Fragrance One of the things I liked was the scent! It stays true to basic skincare... It's unscented, so it's not harsh and I like that :) ⭐️ Texture It has a moderately moisturizing texture. In fall and winter, skin tends to get very dry, so they say it's good to have a moderate oil barrier (to prevent moisture evaporation). If it's too oily, it can get greasy like cooking oil in just a few hours, but this one doesn't seem to have that greasy feeling, which is great! Overall: It's a decent moisturizing cream. Recommended for dry to combination-dry skin types. ❌ It might be because my skin is on the sensitive side, but the ceramide ingredient feels like it's clogging my pores, causing small blemishes. I didn't have this issue when I applied it to my body. ❌ The amount is small compared to the price. The reason I'm deducting one star is because it feels like it clogs pores, which might cause blemishes for those with sensitive skin! If you let it absorb well before bed, your skin becomes smooth and glowy until the next day. It's better to apply this cream in thin layers rather than thick ones. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinAug 30, 2024
Amount control is crucial! Layering with small amounts is effective for hydration and absorption. I've been using two 500ml bottles of Ultra Cream, which I love. Comparing it to Ultra: Ultra feels more like an emulsion. Apply a moderate amount, pat it in, and it finishes with a soft, matte feel. But if you apply too much, it can feel greasy. It really tackles deep dryness! A winter essential. Atoderm Intensive Baume is more of a moisturizing cream. I prefer applying it thinly, focusing on areas that feel particularly dry rather than all over the face. Amount control is really important! Using too much can make skin feel oily and give the sensation of clogged pores, potentially leading to small bumps. Apply a thin layer to areas needing moisture as the final step in your skincare routine. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinMay 22, 2024
The hydration is excellent. After applying it to my face, I feel a surge of moisture rather than greasiness. It's as if my skin is fully quenched with hydration. It causes redness on my face. After application, I notice my skin becoming flushed, and it seems to have worsened my keratosis pilaris around the pores. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinJun 25, 2022
* Hydration It's very rich, so it provides excellent moisture. I think it works best when applied thinly as the final step after all other skincare products. If used alone, it can leave the skin quite oily... * Ingredients It's fine if you apply just a very thin layer as the final step. However, if used alone, it feels like it clogs the pores. It's a bit suffocating and makes my face feel itchy. I think I'm even getting some small bumps... * Finish It's sticky! Tip: Control the amount well If you manage the amount correctly, it provides good hydration and can be used on the face without issues. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 8, 2021
I have to admit, the hydration and lasting power are on point. One application keeps your skin moisturized for about a day. If you have dry skin, be careful not to apply too much. Overdoing it can actually clog your pores and lead to those pesky little blemishes. For those with dry skin, use this after your hydrating moisturizer, but think of it as just a light skin coating. Squeeze out only a small amount. If you slather it on like I did, you might end up with those tiny bumps!
