I started using this in winter when my skin was extremely dry, and I can confidently say there's no other cream that matches its moisturizing power and gentleness! I've been using it for over a year now, and what I initially bought for myself has become a family favorite. While the texture is a bit rich, that's exactly why it hydrates so well. It even suits my little one's skin perfectly, and we're all enjoying it. While I use it all over my body, it feels a bit heavy for facial use. I'm worried it might cause my makeup to pill, so I only apply a small amount. The funny thing is, when you're nearly finished with the tube, it becomes quite a workout to squeeze out the last bits! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 15, 2024
When my skin gets super sensitive during seasonal changes and everything seems to cause blemishes, applying just this one product calms it right down It's a bit too rich, so if you use it before applying makeup, you might experience some pilling - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinSep 21, 2024
- Closer to dry than combination skin - Recovering from facial atopic dermatitis, so 'extremely sensitive and prone to feeling dry' 👉🏻 Surprisingly clean finish I was about to repurchase Aestura, thinking it was my only option. An Olive Young derma specialist recommended this, saying it had better moisturizing ingredients. I was hesitant due to my skin condition, but trying it through The Hwahae Testers, I find it much less rich than Aestra! 👉🏻 Sleek tube packaging While you can't see exactly how much is left, the tube design allows for incredibly clean application. 👉🏻 Nearly fragrance-free As someone very sensitive to artificial scents, the almost fragrance-free formula keeps both my nose and skin comfortable. 👉🏻 Effective hydration with minimal product Surprisingly, a small amount provides sufficient moisture for the entire face. It absorbs well with a light texture, yet delivers satisfying hydration. ✔️ Might be slightly insufficient for winter Without using face oil yet, the finish isn't as rich or thick as expected, which could lead to some dryness in winter. Unsure if layering increases hydration As I'm not wearing makeup lately, I can't comment on pilling. However, sunscreen absorption is slow and slightly sits on top, requiring some patting with a puff to reduce excess oil. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 20, 2024
Perfect for the fall season when I was looking for a moisturizing product! It has a smooth application without any stickiness, and absorbs exceptionally well. My skin tends to get red and sensitive after laser treatments, so I'm hoping this will help improve that too! There's not much to complain about, but if you don't let it absorb fully before applying makeup, it might cause some pilling. I'd recommend letting it absorb completely before applying makeup. Personally, I use different skincare products for morning and evening routines, and I find this cream works best as part of my nighttime regimen! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinSep 19, 2024
Skin type: Dry, Sensitive Recently, I've been struggling with deep dryness, blemishes, and redness. Luckily, I came across the Bioderma Intensive Balm (I usually use Av*** and Ph***gel). 💙 Balm texture: It's not heavy or sticky, and applies with a moisturizing feel. Even though I have dry skin, it feels fine even in hot weather. 💙 Deep hydration: I applied it hoping for the best, and I'm genuinely impressed - no deep dryness at all. I'm very satisfied. 💙 Fragrance-free: I don't like scented products, so this is perfect. 💙 No irritation: It calmed my sensitive skin that was prone to redness. I think it's because it's a gentle cream that tackles deep dryness. It's fine when applied after a light essence that absorbs well, but when I use it with a heavier essence, it pills a bit. Applying a generous amount before bed leaves my skin feeling great and not tight in the morning. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 9, 2024
I regularly use this as a body emulsion during autumn and winter. When applied to areas with dead skin cells or itchy spots, it not only soothes the itching but also keeps the skin moisturized for half a day. For me, it feels too heavy to use on the face. It seems to cause pilling with makeup, so I use it as a body lotion instead. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinSep 9, 2024
It's truly gentle! My skin is super sensitive, and many products sting when applied, but this one feels like it's applying like an ointment without excess hydration. It was really great for soothing itchiness! Personally, I found it perfect for use around the mouth and on dry areas. Especially for body itchiness and dryness, I've found my savior, honestly! It's really great, but for my extremely oily skin, applying it all over the face was too heavy. It doesn't absorb quickly, so when I applied it in the morning before makeup, it caused pilling. Therefore, I think it would be better for those with oily skin to apply it at night before bed! For those with dry skin, it would be great to apply all over the face for definite moisturization, but for oily skin like mine, I recommend applying only to necessary areas at night. However, while it's okay for the face, its effectiveness on the body is absolutely amazing! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 9, 2024
The Hwahae Testers review: The soothing and hydrating effects are excellent. It moisturizes well without causing any blemishes. This would be great for gentle use after dermatological treatments. The thick texture might cause pilling with sunscreen or makeup if used during the day. It felt too heavy for my combination dehydrated skin. Recommended for nighttime use. Allow ample time for absorption. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinSep 6, 2024
This barrier cream has a texture that's neither too heavy nor too light, and it really does its job well! I've tried all the popular barrier creams out there - Avène, La Roche-Posay, Zeroid, and others - but this one had the least pilling and absorbed quickly. It's perfect for this transitional season when the weather is changing! Being fragrance-free with gentle ingredients, it's great for the whole family to use. As a day cream, it can pill unless you let it absorb fully or apply a very thin layer. It does have a slight stickiness to it! After a day of outdoor activities, if you apply a hydrating essence in the evening followed by a generous layer of this cream before bed, your skin feels refreshed and resilient by morning, as if nothing happened! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 6, 2024
- Perfect for the dry season. - Compared to my usual La Roche-Posay balm, this feels lighter. It seems to absorb better and has a nicer texture. - Gentle enough to recommend for sensitive skin types looking to repair their skin barrier. - It's fragrance-free! - It's quite rich! Not recommended for mornings as it may cause pilling with makeup. - The price point makes it a bit expensive for use as a body moisturizer... - Could be beneficial for targeted use on areas affected by eczema or atopic dermatitis.
