I was looking for a gel-type cleanser and decided to try this one since it's affordable The lather isn't rich, so I end up using a lot of product, but there's still a limit to its effectiveness. The gel doesn't break down easily either, so I have no intention of repurchasing - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinDec 28, 2023
First off, the price is incredibly budget-friendly! Looking at the ingredients, I'm pleased to see no harmful substances. I usually just wear sunscreen, so this cleanser works perfectly for my evening routine. However, for those who wear full makeup, it might not remove everything completely. It's ideal for a light morning cleanse - truly living up to its name as a gentle, thorough cleanser! It has a clear, water-like texture, but doesn't produce a rich lather. While it works well for my super sensitive, dry skin, those looking for that squeaky-clean feeling might find it lacking in cleansing effectiveness. No special tips to share! The foam is quite fine, so using a foam maker might enhance the experience. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinOct 24, 2023
I bought this because my friend became one of The Hwahae Testers and said it was amazing! I'm really looking forward to it since it's supposed to help with those tiny blemishes. The only downside is that it doesn't produce a rich lather. Personally, I prefer cleansers with lots of fluffy foam. But if the ingredients are good, I can live without the foam. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinOct 13, 2023
The Aloe Vera Calming Gel Cleanser is a low-irritation, slightly acidic cleansing gel that has received an EWG Green Grade certification. While it doesn't produce an abundance of foam due to its mildly acidic nature, it's perfect for morning cleansing or as a second cleanse when your skin feels sensitive. You can create a richer lather using a foam maker. The scent is nearly fragrance-free, with just a hint of aloe and cucumber. The gel texture feels slippery and doesn't create a rich lather. I find it works best when I create foam using a foam maker. It's particularly good as a second cleanse after using a balm-type cleanser when you really want that extra cleansing step. It helps maintain skin hydration, which is a plus. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 12, 2023
The texture is light and flows well. It's great to use in the morning when you don't want to bother with foam cleansing. It's not meant for removing makeup, but it's perfect for a gentle cleanse. The downside is the scent... it smells a bit like dish soap. It doesn't create a rich lather. Because of the fragrance, I find myself not reaching for it as often. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 4, 2023
It's a low pH cleanser. The best part? It's incredibly gentle! I've tried many cleansers that claim to be gentle, but most of them left my skin feeling tight. However, when I used this cleanser in the morning, there was no tightness at all. I've been using it every morning since I received it, and I'm absolutely in love with it. No blemishes or irritation - it's perfect for my skin! It doesn't produce a rich lather. Since I'm used to cleansing with abundant foam, it felt a bit strange at first. However, its cleansing effectiveness doesn't seem to be compromised. It removes all the excess oil from my face effectively. This product is ideal as a morning cleanser or for general face washing, rather than for removing heavy makeup! If you're looking for a gentle, soft cleansing gel that doesn't cause any deep dryness, I highly recommend this! - Hwahae UserDry SkinOct 4, 2023
As someone with dry skin that always feels tight and flaky after double cleansing, I was pleasantly surprised by this product! Despite being a second cleanser, it didn't feel harsh on my skin at all. I've been dealing with a lot of blemishes lately and have been switching up my skincare products one by one. Since using this cleanser, I've noticed my skin calming down significantly. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a gentle, non-irritating product. Being a gel type, it doesn't produce as rich a lather as other cleansers when using the same amount. While a lot of foam doesn't necessarily mean a better cleanser, if you prefer a abundant and creamy lather, this product might not be for you. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 4, 2023
✔️Texture It looks like an aloe soothing gel! You can think of it as a bouncy, jelly-like texture. ✔️Scent It's nearly fragrance-free, making it suitable even for those sensitive to scents! You really can't detect any fragrance unless you deliberately try to smell it. Since fragrance is a matter of personal preference, I think being fragrance-free is better. ✔️Gentle Cleanser It feels absolutely non-irritating and genuinely gentle. I'd recommend it more for days without makeup or for a light morning cleanse, rather than for removing heavy makeup! ✔️Non-Drying After using this cleanser and rinsing with water, it leaves your skin feeling neither squeaky clean nor slippery - just perfectly balanced. I was so satisfied with how it doesn't dry out the skin! ✔️Blemish Soothing After using it, I felt like it helped soothe my blemishes! I think it would be great for those with super sensitive skin too...!! ✔️Lather It's not the type that produces a rich, foamy lather..! Other than that, there wasn't anything else! I'm super satisfied >.< - Hwahae UserDry SkinOct 3, 2023
True to its name, this is a gentle and mild cleanser. It's an EWG green-rated, low-pH cleanser that has passed low-irritation tests. The appearance immediately suggests it contains aloe vera gel. Unlike the common cream types, this is a transparent gel with almost no scent, which I appreciate as someone sensitive to artificial fragrances. The foam is fine and feels very soft when massaged onto the face. It doesn't irritate my dry skin, and after rinsing, my skin still feels moisturized and smooth. When I first used it: The foam was fine and soft, giving a smooth and silky feeling when rubbed on the face. After rinsing, instead of feeling squeaky clean, my skin felt smooth... which made me wonder if I had cleansed thoroughly enough. Using it the next day: I still had some doubts about whether it cleansed properly (due to the smooth feeling rather than the squeaky-clean sensation), but I decided to keep using it considering its many benefits. After using for over a week: While many reviews suggested it's good for morning cleansing due to the lack of a squeaky-clean feeling, I think it's great for makeup removal and evening cleansing too, especially for my dry skin that doesn't wear heavy makeup. Just because it doesn't feel squeaky doesn't mean it's not removing makeup effectively. In fact, after a few days, I noticed there was no skin tightness after cleansing, and my skin gradually felt softer. I'm becoming more satisfied as time goes on. Having used many cleansing products, I sometimes worried they might thin out and dry my skin. However, with this product, I can set aside those concerns due to its beneficial ingredients and the moisturized, soft feeling it leaves behind. I highly recommend this for those with thin, dry skin like mine! The foam isn't as dense, rich, or abundant as the cleansers I'm used to. When you squeeze it onto your palm and rub, it creates a soft, fine lather. However, I didn't experience any significant inconvenience or inadequacy in cleansing. I think it's a cleanser perfectly suited for light makeup wearers or those with dry skin like me. I find this product much more suitable for morning cleansing compared to the heavier cleansers I've been using. If you have thin, dry skin like mine and find traditional cleansers a bit harsh, this product would be excellent for any time of day. As a low-pH product that has passed low-irritation tests, you can use it regularly without worrying about skin issues. Looking at the ingredients and product descriptions, it seems like a trustworthy choice. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinOct 2, 2023
I have dry and super sensitive skin. Texture: It's a clear, transparent gel cleanser, similar to aloe vera. Scent: There's almost no fragrance. Experience: Being a gel, I thought it wouldn't lather at all, but if you rub it with slightly damp hands, it creates a gentle foam. It's low pH and contains aloe vera, so there's absolutely no irritation when cleansing! That doesn't mean it doesn't cleanse effectively though. Thanks to the LHA and PHA ingredients, it gently exfoliates, leaving my skin feeling smooth without that squeaky-clean sensation. After cleansing, my skin feels soft with a thin layer of hydration, as if it's lightly coated. Overall, I'm very satisfied! It doesn't produce a rich lather. It might not be suitable for oily skin types. It's great for use as a second cleanse or for morning cleansing!
