1. Gentle on the skin Compared to other cleansing products, it definitely feels milder and softer. I especially liked that after washing, there's no strong chemical sensation! Highly recommended for daily cleansing. 2. Great for dry skin Being a gel type, it feels more hydrating and my face feels less dry after cleansing! * Despite the minor drawbacks mentioned below, I'm considering continued use of this product due to its strengths in gentleness and hydration. If you prefer a foamy, squeaky-clean wash, you might find this a bit underwhelming. It doesn't lather up as much as you might expect. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 18, 2024
• Great for sensitive skin as the gentle ingredients don't cause any issues. • Contains aloe vera, which seems to soothe skin faster when it feels hot or irritated. • It's a gel type, but not too thick - has a nice runny consistency that spreads easily. • After cleansing, skin doesn't feel tight, but smooth and moisturized. • Though it's a low pH cleansing foam, it still has good cleansing effectiveness. • There's not much information available about the brand. • It's not a foaming cleanser that leaves skin squeaky clean, so it might not be ideal for those who prefer that feeling. • While it can remove sunscreen, it requires double cleansing for heavy makeup. • It's a bit disappointing for controlling excess oil or removing blackheads. • The product description mentions dense, fine foam, but in reality, the foam doesn't lather as well as expected and the bubbles are larger. • Always wash your hands thoroughly before cleansing your face. • Recommended for morning cleansing or as a second step in your double cleansing routine. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinMar 15, 2024
I still occasionally get large, painful blemishes on my face, so when a skincare clinic recommended trying a gel-type cleanser, I searched and ended up buying this product. I thoroughly researched gel cleansers on Hwahae, checked the ingredients, and ultimately made the purchase. I'm extremely satisfied with my choice. While it doesn't create a rich lather like a cleansing foam, if you massage it well with wet hands, it produces just the right amount of bubbles. Some gel cleansers don't foam at all, which can feel unsatisfying, but this one foams nicely, which I appreciate. The cleansing effectiveness is quite good. In the morning, I use it once, and in the evening, after using a cleansing water or balm, I use this product twice. This routine leaves my skin feeling adequately refreshed. Gentle: Above all, I love that it's non-irritating. It's colorless and fragrance-free. The fact that it doesn't cause any blemishes is a good sign that it's cleansing well, right? Price: I chose this product partly because it's very affordable compared to others. I've finished one bottle and am currently using up some other products I had stocked, but once those are gone, I plan to repurchase this one. It doesn't leave your face feeling squeaky clean. However, I deliberately chose this product because I was looking for something that wouldn't strip my skin, so I don't consider this a drawback. While I appreciate that it's fragrance-free and non-irritating, I'm not used to completely unscented products, so it felt a bit strange at first. If you're concerned about its cleansing power, using it twice or more can be beneficial. Even with multiple uses, it doesn't dry out your skin or feel harsh, which is great. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 5, 2024
I usually only use gel cleansers because I don't like that squeaky-clean feeling. After washing, my face doesn't feel tight but finishes with a hydrated feel! You might think it's slippery, but for me, the moisturizing finish was satisfying. After cleansing with this, my skin seems to have a glow! Also, it's nearly fragrance-free, which I appreciated. The ingredients are gentle, and I got it at a great value! As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I didn't find any downsides! If you usually prefer a squeaky-clean feeling, I wouldn't recommend this. It doesn't lather as much as you might expect, so I put the cleanser on my palm, added a bit of water to create foam, and then applied it to my face! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinDec 28, 2023
First off, the price is incredibly budget-friendly! Looking at the ingredients, I'm pleased to see no harmful substances. I usually just wear sunscreen, so this cleanser works perfectly for my evening routine. However, for those who wear full makeup, it might not remove everything completely. It's ideal for a light morning cleanse - truly living up to its name as a gentle, thorough cleanser! It has a clear, water-like texture, but doesn't produce a rich lather. While it works well for my super sensitive, dry skin, those looking for that squeaky-clean feeling might find it lacking in cleansing effectiveness. No special tips to share! The foam is quite fine, so using a foam maker might enhance the experience. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 2, 2023
As my skin gets dry, flaky, and itchy every winter, I decided to switch to an aloe gel cleanser for my morning routine. I'm most satisfied with how it's less drying and less irritating after cleansing. Plus, it's practically fragrance-free, so it doesn't bother me at all. If you're someone who prefers that squeaky-clean feeling after washing, this might take some getting used to. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 12, 2023
My skin is extremely sensitive in a unique way. It's so reactive that I need to go on a 'skincare diet' to keep it calm - the more products I layer, the more issues I face. I can't even apply sunscreen carelessly! Even when I carefully selected products with good ingredients from Hwahae, my skin would often freak out (it's quite rebellious...). I couldn't go completely bare-faced, so I'd just use a gentle toner and occasionally a soothing cream on particularly bad days. Product pros: First off, it feels incredibly gentle while using. As advertised, the foam is very fine, but it feels more like a natural lather rather than harsh surfactants, so it doesn't cause any irritation. And the best part? I love that it's fragrance-free. I'm of the 'if it's not bad, it's good' school of thought... I've attached photos of my skin before (first three) and after (last three) using this product. My skin had a major flare-up in the summer due to poor health (which rarely happens), but whether it was due to the recovery period coinciding with using this product or just luck, I definitely felt my angry skin calming down. There weren't really any downsides, but if I had to pick one, those who prefer a squeaky-clean feeling after cleansing might not like it. I've been using low pH cleansers for a long time, so I don't really care about that and didn't see it as a con. However, those who are sensitive to this aspect might feel like there's a slight soapy residue left behind. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinOct 12, 2023
The Hwahae Testers review: My skin type is combination dehydrated to oily, and I don't have super sensitive skin :) 🐻 Packaging & Container: I liked that the packaging was made of paper, and the tube opening was neither too big nor too small, making it convenient to use! 🐻 Texture: It has an aloe vera gel texture that's not quite runny, but when you put it on your hand, it does slightly drip after a moment! 🐻 User Experience: ▪️ Lather: When lathered by hand, it doesn't produce an abundance of foam or feel particularly rich, but it was sufficient for cleansing! ▪️ Cleansing: My first impression was that it felt gentle! There wasn't much deep dryness after washing! While it removed eyeliner and lip products with a few rolls, it seemed a bit challenging for a deep cleanse of foundation. I think it would be great to use after an initial cleanse with oil or cream! ▪️ Scent: It has a nearly fragrance-free aloe scent, which I don't think will be particularly divisive. While it's fine for removing sunscreen and morning cleansing, it's a bit disappointing for deep cleansing makeup! Some residue remains! Due to its texture, it can feel slippery or runny, and it's better for a light cleanse rather than giving that squeaky-clean feeling. I think it would work well as a second cleanse after using cleansing oil or cream! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 11, 2023
I was thrilled to be selected for The Hwahae Testers for the first time, giving me the chance to try out the Dabo Aloe Gel Cleanser. It was my first experience with a gel cleanser, and I found it quite fascinating! The best part was that it didn't irritate my acne-prone combination dehydrated skin, which was a huge plus. While I can't say I noticed my blemishes disappearing, they certainly didn't get worse either! I also appreciated that it's fragrance-free. Another great feature is the transparent packaging, which makes it easy to see how much product is left - super convenient! If you're someone who loves that squeaky-clean feeling after using a foam cleanser, this product might not be for you, unfortunately. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 11, 2023
I really liked that it contains aloe and has a gentle feel. My skin is prone to frequent blemishes, and even slightly strong products can wreak havoc on my face. However, after using this product, I noticed fewer breakouts compared to before, which was great. The gel texture doesn't run, and despite being mild, it lathers up well, which I appreciated. The scent was almost fragrance-free. I definitely plan to repurchase. Since it's a gentle product, the finish doesn't have that squeaky-clean feeling, so you might not be sure if you've cleansed thoroughly. Because it's a mild product, the after-feel isn't squeaky clean, so you might wonder if you've washed properly.
