First off, the texture feels like aloe gel, which made it incredibly gentle on my face! I typically wear light makeup - usually just cushion foundation, eyebrow mascara, and tint. With this product, cleansing twice seemed to remove everything effectively! It's so gentle! I have extremely thin and super sensitive skin, so proper cleansing is crucial for me. If I use the wrong product, I'm prone to blemishes. This cleanser is mild, and its gel-like texture caused much less irritation! The cleansing effectiveness is a bit weak. I tested it on Peripera eyebrow product, Dior tint, and Wake Make eyeliner in that order. After the first cleanse, about half was removed. After the second cleanse, there were still some residues left. Since it's marketed as a gentle product, it seems you need to cleanse three times for complete removal. For those who dislike extra steps, using a separate lip and eye makeup remover is probably necessary. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinOct 12, 2023
The Hwahae Testers review: My skin type is combination dehydrated to oily, and I don't have super sensitive skin :) 🐻 Packaging & Container: I liked that the packaging was made of paper, and the tube opening was neither too big nor too small, making it convenient to use! 🐻 Texture: It has an aloe vera gel texture that's not quite runny, but when you put it on your hand, it does slightly drip after a moment! 🐻 User Experience: ▪️ Lather: When lathered by hand, it doesn't produce an abundance of foam or feel particularly rich, but it was sufficient for cleansing! ▪️ Cleansing: My first impression was that it felt gentle! There wasn't much deep dryness after washing! While it removed eyeliner and lip products with a few rolls, it seemed a bit challenging for a deep cleanse of foundation. I think it would be great to use after an initial cleanse with oil or cream! ▪️ Scent: It has a nearly fragrance-free aloe scent, which I don't think will be particularly divisive. While it's fine for removing sunscreen and morning cleansing, it's a bit disappointing for deep cleansing makeup! Some residue remains! Due to its texture, it can feel slippery or runny, and it's better for a light cleanse rather than giving that squeaky-clean feeling. I think it would work well as a second cleanse after using cleansing oil or cream! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinOct 9, 2023
But sometimes, due to the lack of any irritation, it may appear to my eyes that the inflammation is subsiding. As I don't have much experience as a Hwahae Trial Reviewer, I tend to be quite honest about products. And since I have a sensitive skin type, I'm usually not generous in praising or introducing the positive aspects of cosmetics. However, among the many cosmetic products I've tried, I think this one is quite good, which is why I'm writing this review. I hope this review can be helpful for people with similar skin types or for many different skin types. Let me introduce a few minor drawbacks that I could find, even though there aren't many. First, since it's a gel-type formula that starts the cleansing process in a slippery and sticky manner, there can be a lingering slippery feeling when rinsing with water, so it requires thorough rinsing and wiping multiple times. Second, the packaging is a tube, but when about a third of the product is left, it becomes a bit inconvenient as it doesn't dispense easily. Third, there were occasional small, reddish inflammatory reactions in some areas right after cleansing, but they usually subside by the next day. Gentle and perfect for morning cleansing. The simple ingredient list, free from harmful substances, allows for worry-free use. With consistent application, I felt it helped improve my skin texture. I loved that it's a lightweight and mild gel cleanser that's easy on the skin. After cleansing, there's a slight unique slipperiness left on the skin. On the other hand, this could be seen as a positive, as it leaves the skin feeling less dry post-cleanse. Use as a second cleanser when removing makeup. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 4, 2023
When I first dispensed this cleanser, it felt more like an aloe soothing gel than a foam cleanser! As it was my first time using a gel cleanser, the texture felt a bit unfamiliar. It doesn't lather up as much as I expected, so using a foam net makes it much easier to use! (The second photo shows the foam created by hand.) Perhaps due to the aloe, it leaves a moisturizing feeling without much tightness, so it might be great for combination dehydrated skin or dry skin types! When choosing a foam cleanser, I prefer one that leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean. However, this product leaves a slight slippery feeling after rinsing. Maybe because of this slipperiness, I didn't really feel like it was effectively removing dead skin cells. I found a great way to use this: mix half aloe cleanser with half Papa Recipe enzyme powder. It's moisturizing but significantly reduces the slippery feeling. (I use it mixed as shown in the fourth photo.) - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 3, 2023
The low pH is great for morning cleansing. It also worked well in the evening when I only applied sunscreen during the day. Compared to other products I've used before, it left my skin feeling less tight after cleansing. After washing, there's a slippery feeling as if something is left on the skin, which might be hit or miss for some people. Since it's challenging to achieve a perfect cleanse with this product alone, use it after your initial cleanse. Due to its low pH, if you feel it lacks lather, I recommend using it with a foam net. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 2, 2023
As one of The Hwahae Testers, I'm excited to share my review after using this product for over a week! ✔️Skin Type I have combination, sensitive, and eczema-prone skin with oily T-zone and dry, redness-prone cheeks. ✔️Texture It has a bouncy gel consistency. ✔️Key Features No tight feeling after cleansing. As a low pH cleanser, it doesn't leave your skin feeling squeaky clean. While not ultra-rich, it still lathers well. ✔️Scent Almost fragrance-free and very mild. ✔️Blemishes / Skin Irritation I experienced no notable irritation. Interestingly, my period coincided with the testing period, and I didn't get my usual hormonal breakouts. Perhaps the aloe ingredient helped keep blemishes at bay. ✔️Results It was great for smoothing out dead skin cells and improving skin texture. ✔️ It feels a bit slippery during cleansing. ✔️ The cleansing effectiveness isn't strong enough for removing makeup, so it's better suited as a second cleanser or for morning cleansing. If you're after a rich lather, try using this with a bubble net for best results. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 2, 2023
◇Skin type: Super sensitive skin, combination dehydrated skin (Immediate blemishes and allergic reactions if cosmetics don't suit) As someone with sensitive skin, I loved that Dabo Cleansing Gel has gentle ingredients and rolls on smoothly, causing less irritation. Plus, it's affordable, so I'd consider repurchasing when I run out! • Packaging The wide seal handle made it easy to open. The transparent container lets you easily see how much product is left. • Texture Slightly runny like aloe gel, transparent, and fragrance-free :) • Lather & Cleansing effectiveness Dense, fine foam. Quickly produces rich lather (foams up generously without much effort!!) Suitable for morning cleanse and second cleanse. • Post-cleanse Less drying and softer than my previous cleansing foam. Haven't experienced any blemishes while using it and have been consistently enjoying it! Being mildly acidic, it doesn't remove sunscreen effectively. There's residue left from mineral sunscreens, so I recommend it for morning and second cleanse! Wet your hands and face thoroughly with lukewarm water, then massage in circular motions! This creates rich foam that penetrates deep into the pores for effective cleansing!! After applying the foam all over your face, slightly dampen your hands again and gently massage with your ring and pinky fingers, then rinse for perfect cleansing!! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinApr 28, 2023
The transparent gel lather up beautifully when you rub it with wet hands. Its rich foam allows for effective cleansing with just a small amount. Being mildly acidic, it seems gentler on the skin. I love how my face feels less tight after washing. While I understand it's due to its mild acidity, I dislike the residual feeling on my skin after cleansing, which makes me rinse more thoroughly. However, I also don't prefer cleansers that leave the skin feeling too squeaky clean. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinApr 28, 2023
Even with slightly irritating ingredients, my skin usually stings and flares up immediately. But this product was gentle from the first use, which I'm really happy about. It feels just like an aloe soothing gel - hydrating and soft. The fact that all ingredients are EWG green-rated gives me extra peace of mind. When I first saw the texture, I wondered if it would lather well. Surprisingly, it creates a fairly dense foam. While it has that characteristic light feel of low pH cleansers, it still produces a satisfyingly rich lather. Using a Daiso foam maker can create an ultra-rich foam! What I'm most excited about is the inclusion of LHA and PHA. Being able to gently exfoliate dead skin cells daily with such a mild cleanser is what I'm looking forward to most. I'm satisfied knowing that with consistent use, I can achieve effective yet gentle cleansing and exfoliation. In terms of cleansing effectiveness, using this product alone might not provide a perfect cleanse. Perhaps my sunscreen is particularly stubborn, but I still feel some residue after cleansing. So even when I've only applied sunscreen, I use this as a second cleanse. For morning cleansing though, it's wonderfully hydrating! Use a foam maker for best results
