It's a gel formula, so it's moisturizing and gentle. This cleanser has a slightly acidic pH and contains PHA and LHA. It's effective for removing dead skin cells and excess sebum. I use it occasionally. Using it daily can irritate your skin. If you have sensitive or thin skin, it's best to limit use to once or twice a week. Don't forget to use it on your back once or twice a week too. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 13, 2024
I bought this because it's affordable and contains aloe vera, which I thought would be great for soothing my skin! I also loved how it made my skin feel soft and smooth, thanks to the dead skin cell removing ingredients in its formula. As someone with dry skin, I found that using this cleanser daily started to make my skin feel increasingly dry due to the exfoliating ingredients. I think it might be better suited for those with oily skin. Also, the squeeze tube packaging can be slippery at times, so I wish it came in a pump bottle instead for easier use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 23, 2024
I'm really enjoying this low pH cleanser that lathers up nicely. My skin feels much softer, so it seems to be exfoliating dead skin cells without irritation. However, since my skin is super sensitive, I alternate it with other cleansers rather than using it daily. You need to rinse quite thoroughly to get rid of the slightly slippery feeling. Having used low pH cleansers since my teens, I can tell the difference between slipperiness and smoothness. As you rinse under running water, there's a moment when the slippery sensation transforms into a smooth feeling of your own skin - it just takes a bit longer to reach that point compared to other cleansers. When I'm wearing makeup, I use this as a second cleanse after oil cleansing. For bare-faced days or morning cleansing, I start by washing my hands thoroughly, then rinse my face with lukewarm water to remove surface oils. I wash my hands again to remove any oils from my face, then use the cleanser. This way, even without a foam net, it lathers up beautifully. I use this method with all cleansers - even those known for low lather produce plenty of foam when applied with clean hands, allowing for a gentle yet effective cleanse. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJan 7, 2024
It's so gentle on the skin and makes daily exfoliation of dead skin cells effortless The lather is a bit sparse, so you need to use more cleanser each time you wash, which can be a bit of a burden - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 25, 2023
I love that it contains both AHA and BHA, allowing for gentle removal of dead skin cells and excess sebum. I bought two when they were on sale and I'm so satisfied! The gel formula is gentle and has good cleansing effectiveness. It can even remove light makeup, though not waterproof products. There's honestly nothing to complain about, I really can't think of any downsides! The only minor inconvenience is that when there's a small amount left in the tube, it can be hard to squeeze out. You might need to cut it open to use the last bit. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 12, 2023
It's gentle! Despite containing exfoliating ingredients, it feels comfortable and hydrating on the skin without any sense of irritation. It's effective enough at removing excess oil, so I think it'll work well as both a morning cleanser and second-step cleanser from this transitional season through winter. As it's a mild cleanser, it might not be sufficient if you're looking for strong cleansing power. However, I consider this a characteristic of gel cleansers in general, so I'm not too disappointed. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 12, 2023
As one of The Hwahae Testers, I've been using this product for about two weeks. With my acne-prone combination skin, I'm quite particular about cleansing. I needed a cleanser that could remove dead skin cells to some extent without being too harsh. This product definitely meets that requirement, which I'm very pleased about. I recommend using it for morning cleansing or when you're staying in, rather than as a second cleanse after removing heavy makeup in the evening. It's a bit disappointing that it doesn't cleanse thoroughly on days when I wear heavy makeup. However, given how effective it is at removing makeup, it's understandable that it might cause some irritation. While it's unfortunate that it doesn't cleanse thoroughly on days with heavy makeup, I suppose the potential for irritation is unavoidable given how effective it is at removing makeup. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 10, 2023
I loved that this low pH cleansing foam even has exfoliating properties for dead skin cells! Plus, the aloe ingredient was great for soothing my skin and providing hydration. After cleansing, there was minimal deep dryness and my skin felt moisturized! I'm prone to hives when using products that don't suit me, but I had no issues with this one! It didn't cause any blemishes either. It's gentle enough to use morning and evening! Just keep in mind that due to its low pH nature, it won't give you that squeaky-clean feeling - which is actually a good thing for your skin! The scent reminded me of store-bought bubble solution! So occasionally, it felt like I was washing my face with bubbles. Though I suppose the lack of added fragrances is better for the skin! The scent reminded me of store-bought bubble solution! This cleansing foam is perfect for the current dry weather! It had a summery feel, perhaps due to the aloe vera, and I loved how it left my skin feeling moisturized after cleansing. I was initially concerned about its cleansing power since it's slightly acidic, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well it cleaned with its fine, dense foam. It seems to gently exfoliate dead skin cells daily, which I appreciate. As someone with sensitive skin, I found it soothing, possibly thanks to the aloe ingredient. I'm satisfied with how it improved areas where I had redness and blemishes! As expected, this foam cleanser alone doesn't completely remove makeup. On days when I wore makeup, I used it as a second cleanse after first removing makeup with an oil cleanser. I recommend this for no-makeup days or as a second cleanse after removing makeup, as other reviewers have suggested. The Beplain Mung Bean Cleansing Foam I used before had granules that felt irritating and stung when I had blemishes or atopic dermatitis. However, this Dabo Aloe Gel Foam feels gentle and hydrating, making it comfortable to use even when my skin isn't in the best condition. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinOct 4, 2023
For those who wash their face with just water in the morning, this low pH, gentle gel cleanser might be a perfect match. At first, I thought it wouldn't lather well, but if you rub it between your palms, it creates enough foam on your face. The best part is that it doesn't leave your skin feeling tight after rinsing, and it's as gentle as washing with water alone. It has an aloe soothing gel texture with PHA, a gentle exfoliating ingredient great for sensitive skin. The fact that it's fragrance-free is also a plus. I used it mainly in the mornings and never experienced any blemishes, plus the generous amount lasts a long time. It seems to lack cleansing power for removing makeup. I used it in the morning on bare skin or after light makeup and sunscreen application. Here's a tip: Wet a cotton pad, apply this gel cleanser, and gently roll it over your face. It's great for exfoliating without irritation. It feels more like applying an aloe soothing gel than a gel cleanser. Currently, it's on sale in the Hwahae app for around 7,000 won, so I recommend it. The product lasts a long time due to its large quantity.
