The finish is quite moisturizing, which could be great for those with dry skin. As someone with oily skin, it wasn't ideal for me... But if your skin often feels tight and tends to crack or flake during seasonal changes, this might work well for you. It produces a decent lather for a low pH cleanser. It's really not suitable for oily skin types. It doesn't seem to effectively remove excess sebum... The moisturizing finish leaves a smooth feeling, but it doesn't feel like it's actually cleansing. Strongly discourage for those with oily skin. Recommended for morning cleansing routines, especially for those with dry or normal skin types. - Hwahae UserDry SkinOct 31, 2024
It's a gel formula, so it's moisturizing and gentle. This cleanser has a slightly acidic pH and contains PHA and LHA. It's effective for removing dead skin cells and excess sebum. I use it occasionally. Using it daily can irritate your skin. If you have sensitive or thin skin, it's best to limit use to once or twice a week. Don't forget to use it on your back once or twice a week too. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 15, 2024
With its low pH, it leaves skin moisturized without any tightness after cleansing. The gentle formula is perfect for the whole family to use. Plus, its aloe base is great for soothing summer skin that needs calming. There's nothing to complain about! While it's unscented, it would be nice if it had a natural fragrance. But even as it is, the product is excellent. It's ideal for sensitive summer skin - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 10, 2024
● Extremely gentle, causing no allergic reactions ● Mildly acidic, which is beneficial for the skin ● Trusted aloe vera formula that doesn't cause blemishes There's nothing particularly disappointing about this product. It's so good that I'm planning to repurchase! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 18, 2024
• Great for sensitive skin as the gentle ingredients don't cause any issues. • Contains aloe vera, which seems to soothe skin faster when it feels hot or irritated. • It's a gel type, but not too thick - has a nice runny consistency that spreads easily. • After cleansing, skin doesn't feel tight, but smooth and moisturized. • Though it's a low pH cleansing foam, it still has good cleansing effectiveness. • There's not much information available about the brand. • It's not a foaming cleanser that leaves skin squeaky clean, so it might not be ideal for those who prefer that feeling. • While it can remove sunscreen, it requires double cleansing for heavy makeup. • It's a bit disappointing for controlling excess oil or removing blackheads. • The product description mentions dense, fine foam, but in reality, the foam doesn't lather as well as expected and the bubbles are larger. • Always wash your hands thoroughly before cleansing your face. • Recommended for morning cleansing or as a second step in your double cleansing routine. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 21, 2024
When A-True Cleansing Gel, my holy grail, was suddenly discontinued, I became a skincare nomad. I tried various products, but they caused blemishes, redness, or massive breakouts. Though I'd never heard of Dabo before, I bought it because of its good ingredients. Now I'm on my third bottle! I've recommended it to my sister's friend, and everyone loves it. I even bought it for my boyfriend, who loves it so much he asked me to order more. It's just the right mild acidity I like - not squeaky clean, but leaves skin feeling moisturized. No blemishes, no irritation, no fragrance, just pure gentleness. Unlike some cleansers that cause tiny bumps, this one leaves my skin clean and smooth. I'm so happy to have found a staple product after wandering for so long! You need to use a bubble net for it to lather well. When using just hands, it doesn't foam up much. Also, compared to other foam cleansers, it feels like I'm using more product each time. It seems to run out faster for some reason I can't quite figure out. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 23, 2024
I'm really enjoying this low pH cleanser that lathers up nicely. My skin feels much softer, so it seems to be exfoliating dead skin cells without irritation. However, since my skin is super sensitive, I alternate it with other cleansers rather than using it daily. You need to rinse quite thoroughly to get rid of the slightly slippery feeling. Having used low pH cleansers since my teens, I can tell the difference between slipperiness and smoothness. As you rinse under running water, there's a moment when the slippery sensation transforms into a smooth feeling of your own skin - it just takes a bit longer to reach that point compared to other cleansers. When I'm wearing makeup, I use this as a second cleanse after oil cleansing. For bare-faced days or morning cleansing, I start by washing my hands thoroughly, then rinse my face with lukewarm water to remove surface oils. I wash my hands again to remove any oils from my face, then use the cleanser. This way, even without a foam net, it lathers up beautifully. I use this method with all cleansers - even those known for low lather produce plenty of foam when applied with clean hands, allowing for a gentle yet effective cleanse. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 17, 2023
With a pH level of 5.5, this mildly acidic cleanser truly delivers a light feel during morning cleansing. What I appreciated most was its gel texture, which felt gentle and non-irritating on my skin. Just a slight massage produces a rich lather, and I could feel the fine, delicate foam particles touching my face. Although I don't have sensitive skin, I believe those with super sensitive skin would feel their skin is well-protected when using this. I honestly couldn't find any downsides! I highly recommend this for morning cleansing routines! It's a lightweight product that I found particularly refreshing after light makeup or exercise, rather than heavy makeup removal. I felt it was gentle enough to use year-round without causing any deep dryness. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinOct 13, 2023
The Aloe Vera Calming Gel Cleanser is a low-irritation, slightly acidic cleansing gel that has received an EWG Green Grade certification. While it doesn't produce an abundance of foam due to its mildly acidic nature, it's perfect for morning cleansing or as a second cleanse when your skin feels sensitive. You can create a richer lather using a foam maker. The scent is nearly fragrance-free, with just a hint of aloe and cucumber. The gel texture feels slippery and doesn't create a rich lather. I find it works best when I create foam using a foam maker. It's particularly good as a second cleanse after using a balm-type cleanser when you really want that extra cleansing step. It helps maintain skin hydration, which is a plus. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 12, 2023
Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin / T-zone prone to blackheads and excess oil / Enlarged pores in U-zone (oily) I don't usually wear heavy makeup, but I pay attention to blackheads and whiteheads Pros: It seems really gentle. I didn't experience any blemishes while using it. Scent: There's a slight aloe scent, but it's almost fragrance-free. Texture: As it's a gel-type cleansing foam, it initially feels slippery and doesn't lather much... I was worried it wouldn't cleanse well, but it actually has good cleansing effectiveness. Not just this product, but gel-type cleansing foams in general don't seem to lather well. Maybe I'm not using the right amount of water? As someone who feels cleaner with more foam, I'm not a fan. (The third photo shows the most foam I could produce)
