It's gentle and lathers up nicely! I have super sensitive skin, but I haven't experienced any irritation. Although I've only been using it for 3 days, so far it's been great. It stings a bit if it gets in your eyes, and there's a slight artificial, soapy scent. But it's not too overpowering. Using a foam maker can help reduce irritation even further. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 4, 2025
I bought this product without high expectations, but I'm incredibly satisfied with its cleansing effectiveness and how gentle it is on my skin. I definitely want to repurchase it in the future! It does smell a bit like dish soap when using it, but I much prefer this to products with artificial fragrances... haha I've been using it for both my morning and evening cleansing routines - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 12, 2023
The texture is light and flows well. It's great to use in the morning when you don't want to bother with foam cleansing. It's not meant for removing makeup, but it's perfect for a gentle cleanse. The downside is the scent... it smells a bit like dish soap. It doesn't create a rich lather. Because of the fragrance, I find myself not reaching for it as often. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinOct 6, 2023
✔ Skin type: Extremely dry, not acne-prone but concerned about forehead blemishes due to bangs ✔ Ingredients: With my extremely dry skin, I've always worried about tightness and dryness after double cleansing. This product contains 10,000ppm of aloe vera extract, promising hydration even after cleansing. I decided to give it a try based on this claim! After using it, I waited before applying emulsion and noticed it was definitely less drying than other cleansing foams. ✔ The low pH gel cleanser sometimes makes me wonder if it's cleaning effectively due to its lack of foam and slippery texture. However, this product produces rich lather and leaves no slippery residue after rinsing. ✔ I often worry if double cleansing really cleans my pores thoroughly, but seeing that this contains LHA and PHA, I trust it for dead skin cell care too! ✔ Review: Although I didn't use it daily, I definitely noticed my skin becoming softer, and surprisingly, it felt soothing despite being a cleansing product. While I didn't see dramatic results, I believe consistent use would certainly be beneficial. ✔ Scent: Fragrance is subjective, but for me, it smelled a bit like dish soap, which was slightly off-putting. Other than that, I didn't find any other drawbacks! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinOct 2, 2023
The gel texture is gentle and mild, so I used it without any blemishes. After cleansing, my skin feels soft and smooth. When washing, it feels slippery, making me think I haven't cleaned thoroughly. Also, there's a slight scent reminiscent of dish soap, which leaves me feeling uneasy. This is my first time using a gel cleanser, so I'm not sure if they're all like this, but personally, I found myself double cleansing because it felt like I hadn't washed properly. You might want to keep that in mind. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 30, 2023
I have combination skin with some sensitive areas (atopic) and oily tendencies. This was my first time trying it, and it was surprisingly good! While my skin type is generally oily, I have atopic patches in certain areas, so products that are too stripping tend to dry me out and are difficult to use. However, this cleanser seems to be low pH, as it cleanses effectively without leaving my skin feeling parched. I was also pleased that it didn't cause any tingling around my mouth and eyes where I have atopic patches. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a cleanser that doesn't leave your skin feeling too squeaky clean or dry! The scent was a bit off-putting, reminiscent of rubber tubing... However, the product's effectiveness was so good that I didn't mind it too much. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinSep 20, 2023
The Hwahae Testers Here's my honest review:) 1. Scent - Truly smells like aloe 2. Effectiveness - I have several foam cleansers, and honestly, I thought this aloe one wouldn't cleanse well. But it worked surprisingly well, so I immediately switched to this product - There's a slight tightness, but you can also feel the hydration - It's gentle on the skin, yet amazingly effective at cleansing 3. Texture - Think of it as a gel. It's gel-like and lathers well Room for improvement - While it doesn't lather extremely well, it's still pretty good for a gel cleanser - The scent was slightly disappointing (somewhat artificial aloe smell) Even if you create a lot of lather, it disappears when you rub it on your face. Don't rinse immediately - massage it in for a moisturizing cleanse - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 28, 2023
First off, I really enjoyed the texture. It had more of a soothing gel consistency rather than a thick cream. When I applied it to my face, there was no irritation at all. That's why it was perfect for a refreshing cleanse both morning and evening, as an alternative to just washing with water. However, the downside was that the scent felt a bit artificial. I understand that the lack of foam is unavoidable due to its low pH, but I personally prefer cleansers that lather up nicely, so that was a bit disappointing for me. - Hwahae UserOily SkinApr 28, 2023
1. It's gentle on the skin. 2. It's fragrance-free. 3. No tightness after cleansing. 4. Leaves skin feeling hydrated. I plan to use up the entire bottle. 1. Although it's fragrance-free, there's a distinct cleanser scent. It's not overpowering, but I wouldn't recommend it for those sensitive to smells. 2. Recommended for first cleanse or morning cleanse. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 28, 2023
True to its name, this was a transparent gel-type cleansing product. As someone with oily skin, I appreciated that it didn't leave much of an oily residue after washing. I started using it when I had blemishes, and it seemed to calm them down quickly. It wasn't bad for my oily skin at all! If there's one downside, it's that the product has a somewhat medicinal scent. But aside from that, I think it's pretty decent overall. Before washing your face, make sure to thoroughly dry your hands. Then, rinse your face with lukewarm water about 10 times before using the cleanser!
