Despite being a mineral sunscreen, it absorbs well and feels gentle on the skin. It's less drying and has minimal white cast, making it a great choice for students or anyone looking for a natural-looking sun protection. It pills when you apply base makeup... This is a critical flaw for office workers who wear makeup daily. While it may not play well with makeup, it seems suitable for use on the neck or body. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinMay 6, 2025
The slight white cast works wonderfully as a natural brightening moisturizer, evening out my complexion! No real downsides. It's just a tad dry for winter use, but come spring and summer, it's absolutely perfect. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 22, 2025
I've tried almost all the top-rated sunscreens on Hwahae, but the Kim Jung Moon Aloe sunscreen is my holy grail! Among mineral sunscreens, it's the champion for absorption, feels natural immediately after application, and has almost no white cast - it just brightens your complexion... It's a sunscreen without flaws. Even sunscreens known for being gentle would always cause discomfort for me. Whether it was due to the inherent ingredients of sunscreens or additional components, I'm not sure. Stinging eyes were a given (even when avoiding the eye area, it would somehow still irritate my eyes later), and my skin would turn red as if sunburned, become itchy, or break out... It was frustrating. Ironically, the cream meant to protect my skin would always cause reactions, so I hadn't used sunscreen for nearly two years. Recently, I've become interested in preventing premature aging. Every skincare advice emphasizes 'applying sunscreen diligently and reapplying every few hours.' This really got me thinking, especially since I've noticed some new dark spots appearing. After days of research, I discovered this sunscreen with Aloe Vera Leaf Juice as the first ingredient, not water. It's known to cool the skin, is vegan-certified, and contains no irritating ingredients. Surprisingly, it didn't have many reviews. I desperately hoped this one would work for me, and wow... it's amazing! I love it so much! Gone are the days of applying soothing creams after washing off sunscreen, upset at seeing my blotchy, red skin. Now, after cleansing, my skin actually looks better! I'm shocked that such a great product is so affordable. I've enthusiastically recommended it to my family, and everyone loves it. It's now our family's go-to sunscreen. If anyone asks for a sunscreen recommendation, I'll suggest this one without a moment's hesitation! There's absolutely nothing to criticize about the product itself. If anything, it's disappointing that such an excellent product isn't ranked higher on the Hwahae app! I suggest buying one to test first. If it works well for you, stock up when it's on sale... You'll need to repurchase anyway, so buy in bulk during discounts and apply generously! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 3, 2025
Snagged two for just over $10 - what a steal! It's a mineral sunscreen, so there's a bit of a white cast, but it doesn't pill or separate. I squeeze out a decent amount and apply with my hands. The ingredients are top-notch and it doesn't sting my eyes. When I use it before makeup, it evens my skin tone naturally and smooths my complexion, making foundation application a breeze. I make sure to apply it on my neck too, so there's no mismatched look between face and neck. As expected with mineral sunscreens, there's a slight white cast. The scent isn't particularly appealing. To avoid patchiness, apply it evenly. For best results, use a sponge or air puff instead of your hands to control the amount and achieve that flawless skin look. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJun 4, 2024
I bought this Kim Jung Moon Aloe sunscreen after watching Director Pi's video! I heard it's gentle enough for the whole family to use and can be mostly removed with just a first cleanse, so I decided to give it a try. I have dry, acne-prone skin! 1. It gives a natural brightening effect! The sunscreen applies smoothly and is more hydrating compared to other mineral sunscreens. When you spread and pat it in, it blends in well as shown in the photo! It becomes slightly powdery after a while. 2. Blemishes I didn't experience any new breakouts! I understand it's a gentle sunscreen that can be mostly removed with just a first cleanse. I trust Director Pi's recommendation and have been using it well. Make sure to do a second cleanse too. 3. Makeup applies well over it Some mineral sunscreens don't spread evenly, making cushions or foundations look messy, cakey, or thick when applied on top. But with the Kim Jung Moon sunscreen, makeup goes on smoothly! It provides a solid base for your skincare routine. Highly recommended for dry, acne-prone skin! The brightening effect is natural, so I'd also recommend it to those who dislike mineral sunscreens with heavy white cast. I'm really satisfied and plan to repurchase when I run out! I didn't have any issues! However, it might not be ideal for those with oily skin during summer. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAug 27, 2023
I've thrown away so many sunscreens because they stung my eyes, but this one caused the least irritation of any I've tried! It also has less of that typical sunscreen smell. Plus, it seems to provide a natural brightening effect on my complexion! The finish feels a bit heavy on the skin, but it's not too bad! It seems to work well when applied with a puff. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 30, 2023
It feels incredibly gentle. The application is smooth, and despite being a mineral sunscreen, it's not thick but rather moisturizing. As it's recommended for the whole family, it's truly mild enough for everyone from children to those with sensitive skin. While applying, you can tell it's easy to wash off, with a texture and adherence that's just right. For those blessed with clear, beautiful bare skin, using this alone would create an even more radiant, natural look. Since it's a mild product focused solely on sun protection, it doesn't provide the slight coverage that other sunscreens might offer through their white cast. Sometimes, because it's so gentle and easy to wash off, I honestly wonder if it's providing enough sun protection. But that's just my personal feeling - I'm sure it works fine. If you're used to getting a tone-up effect or natural coverage from your sunscreen, you might find this lacking. I have acne scars and pigmentation, and other mineral sunscreens seemed to blur those spots better. With this product, while there is a slight brightening effect, most of the pigmentation still shows through. If you only have scars or pigmentation in specific areas, apply this product evenly and then use concealer on top. - Hwahae UserOily SkinMay 31, 2023
As a lucky winner of The Hwahae Testers program, I'm writing this review after a month of use! I love how it instantly and naturally evens my skin tone, and leaves my skin with a lovely matte finish. Sometimes, if you don't blend it well, you might notice tiny white particles left on your face. Also, if I apply it in the morning and then again after work, it tends to pill a bit. Moreover, I think the ingredients don't agree with my skin because by evening, my face feels burning, tingling, and itchy. Since the ingredients don't seem to suit my face, I've started using it on my arms and hands instead! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 3, 2023
I got to try this product as part of The Hwahae Testers selection, and I'll start with the conclusion: I'm definitely considering repurchasing! When I first applied it, my face looked so white that I thought it might be too much. However, as time passed, it absorbed into my skin just right, leaving a natural brightening effect. As someone with dry skin, I find it incredibly hydrating. It applies thinly, making my skin feel comfortable. It also seems to work well as a base for makeup. While I haven't found any significant drawbacks yet, the initial whiteness that takes a bit of time to absorb into the skin could be seen as a minor inconvenience. However, gently patting it in helps it absorb more quickly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 17, 2023
I love how it naturally evens out my skin tone! It doesn't make me look unnaturally pale, but rather gives a clearer complexion, so I often apply it on bare skin. The ingredients are great too - I haven't experienced any blemishes or small bumps after using it! For my taste, the scent isn't great... It seems a bit artificial to me.
