My complexion naturally brightened and the product adhered well to my skin The coverage was a bit lacking and there was a very slight darkening effect - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinApr 30, 2025
First off, the case is absolutely gorgeous, and the mesh design allows for an even application. Unfortunately, it tends to darken the skin quite noticeably... It also seems to set too quickly, making it challenging to blend properly on the skin. The staying power isn't great either. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinApr 28, 2025
I picked this up during the Olive Young sale and I'm impressed with its coverage. Even as a makeup novice, I find it easy to use. It does a decent job of concealing redness. However, it doesn't quite cover dark spots... There's also a slight feeling of it sitting on the skin. But overall, it's still pretty decent to use. This shade feels a bit darker compared to other products. Even though it's shade 17, it's almost identical to the Banila Co cushion in shade 19. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinApr 25, 2025
The color is bright and it gives such a beautiful natural flush to the cheeks! For my dry skin, it darkens significantly, pills, and flakes off. I think I need to focus more on strengthening my skincare routine. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 10, 2025
I have combination skin with an oily T-zone and dry U-zone. My cheeks, nose, and between the eyebrows tend to get quite red, and I have large pores in the butterfly zone. I also have a lot of facial hair, so my skin can be prone to pilling. So far, I've tried the Ne*ming Layered Fit and Pa* Serum cushions. 1. Skin appearance - Controlling the amount is crucial! On a busy day, I just slapped it on quickly and it all pilled... For a beautiful skin finish, apply a small amount and layer it. 2. Color - I love using Hince foundation, so I got this cushion too. The color matches perfectly with my light undertone, shade 19. 3. Coverage - It provides medium coverage for redness! Better than Ne*ming Layered, but not quite as good as Pa* Serum cushion. Pore coverage is excellent! It even concealed my large pores. 4. Touch-ups are no problem. Even after about 6 hours, you can apply a thin layer without any pilling or issues. 1. Darkening - It darkens about one shade, so touch-ups are necessary after about 6 hours! 2. Not quite matte... Maybe because most cushions these days are designed for an Inner Glow, it doesn't feel matte! There's a glow right after application, and after two to three hours, you can see oil around the nose. 3. Longevity - The staying power doesn't seem that great. If I do my makeup at 8 AM and press with powder throughout the day, touch-ups are still necessary by 3 PM. It has a mesh net, so controlling the amount is important! If you layer it thinly, you can achieve a clean skin appearance. For those experiencing pilling, try adjusting the amount and reapplying. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 9, 2025
Hince Second Skin Mesh Matte Cushion #17 Porcelain ✔️ Product Used: Hince Second Skin Mesh Matte Cushion #17 Porcelain ✔️ Skin Type: Combination dehydrated + Sensitive ✔️ Review: True to Hince's reputation, this cushion creates a beautiful skin finish. The coverage is excellent, especially for pores - it's incredibly effective at creating a smooth appearance. As soon as I applied it, my skin looked instantly perfected. While it's matte, it doesn't cause deep dryness, and with just a light dusting of powder, it stays put all day without breaking down. I hardly needed any touch-ups. The complexion it creates is smooth and luxurious. The coverage is superb, and it works hard to conceal blemishes effectively. With just a bit of powder on top, it maintains its staying power throughout the day. Drawbacks: ❌ Noticeable darkening of the product over time ❌ If you choose a shade that matches your skin tone exactly, it may look darker in the afternoon 📌 Overall: Highly recommended if you're looking for a cushion that perfectly smooths out pores and skin texture! It would be nearly perfect if not for the darkening issue. The staying power, coverage, and skin finish are all excellent. With just a light touch of powder, you can maintain worry-free wear all day long. Pro tip: Consider choosing a shade slightly lighter than your natural complexion to counteract the darkening effect. This way, you'll maintain a more consistent color throughout the day. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMar 3, 2025
The best thing about this cushion is its easy-to-control application. Thanks to the mesh net, it's incredibly simple to adjust the amount of product. As someone who prioritizes a thin application for cushions, I really appreciated this feature. Additionally, this product seems to be great at not emphasizing dead skin cells. Even in winter, when it's common for cushions to highlight flakiness despite thorough skincare, this one doesn't have that issue. There seems to be quite a bit of darkening with this product. When I used other cushions, I didn't notice significant darkening, so I didn't use a separate base. However, with this product, it feels necessary to use a base. After about 5 hours of wear outside, I noticed my face looking yellowish. Apart from this drawback, everything else seemed fine. - Hwahae UserOily SkinFeb 21, 2025
The adherence is good and the coverage is moderate to high. You might need to buy a shade much lighter than your natural complexion as it came out a bit dark. Wow, it's the king of dryness! Even though I have oily skin and did a good skincare routine, it's still super dry with intense deep dryness, and on top of that, my face turns into an oil slick. The darkening effect is also too severe. After about 4 hours, it starts to separate, and when it breaks down, it looks patchy... - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 17, 2025
It applies thinly and smoothly. It's the best cushion I've used recently. I noticed many of my friends are using this too! There's a bit of darkening, unfortunately. That's why I think it's best for touch-ups. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinFeb 7, 2025
I purchased shade 17 Porcelain. The color seems natural and pretty. However, this is truly the worst product I've tried among those recommended for oily skin. Right after application, it's completely matte, making even my oily skin feel intensely dry. After about 2 hours, it settles into wrinkles terribly. The longevity is awful too - by the time I'm leaving work, it has broken down beyond belief, which is so disappointing. To make matters worse, it causes significant darkening. I definitely don't recommend this. Those with oily skin should look for a different product.
