The semi-matte finish provides excellent coverage. It's really, really good! As I have combination-dry skin, my cheeks feel slightly dry, and there's some pilling around my nose and T-zone. It also tends to emphasize dead skin cells, unfortunately. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 25, 2025
It adheres well to the skin, gives an Inner Glow, and leaves a matte finish, making it easy to use. Highly recommended for those with good skin and those who prefer lightweight textures. On relatively dry areas, dead skin cells become more noticeable, and it doesn't cover red acne marks well, so a concealer is necessary. After some time, there's also a bit of darkening, unfortunately. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 17, 2024
The coverage is decent and it gives a nice matte finish! I think it would be a safe choice for those with oily or combination skin. I've used up the original product and now I'm using the refill - it's great as a touch-up cushion. I wouldn't recommend this for makeup beginners... It sets quickly and it's hard to control the amount! Here are some other drawbacks I've noticed: 1. Emphasizes dead skin cells and texture -> Even after exfoliating + using toner pads and applying a thorough skincare routine, it still accentuates flakiness in winter, requiring multiple touch-ups. 2. Oxidation... -> At first, you might think 'Wow, my makeup looks amazing today!', but after about an hour, it starts to darken slightly and doesn't wear off gracefully, so you need to check it frequently when you're out. 3. It doesn't wear off attractively -> Without touch-ups, it's obvious that your makeup has deteriorated. It clings to the skin, and your complexion looks a bit off and darker...! (Related to point 2, but it doesn't fade naturally) 4. The puff seems subpar...? -> It feels like the puff and the product don't work well together. Personally, I found it helps to spray some face mist before application and blend it in for added hydration! Although it's semi-matte, those with oily or combination dehydrated skin will definitely need powder! It starts off matte but gets oily after a short while. The puff works better if you dampen it slightly before use. I'd recommend using this more for touch-ups rather than as a base product! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinDec 4, 2024
Hmm... I couldn't really find any positives about this product for me, unfortunately. It doesn't cover blemishes at all, and the color is off. Among all the cushions I've tried, this one takes the crown for emphasizing laugh lines and dead skin cells. The staying power isn't great either. Even though it was a gift, I tried to use up the whole compact, but I just couldn't. After using it only twice, I completely lost interest in the product. In fact, the second time I wore it out, I ended up removing my makeup and buying a new product to reapply. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinOct 20, 2024
After applying and letting it sit for a bit, your skin texture looks incredibly beautiful. It's seriously no joke! The semi-matte finish provides excellent coverage, and it doesn't settle into the creases around the nose or look cakey, which I love (though this might vary for different people). It's become my daily go-to - I've been using only this cushion lately! The puff is also nice and soft with a perfect bounce. I highly, highly recommend it! When I first used it, I experienced some blemishes. But now it seems my skin has adjusted and it's fine. However, if you apply it on days when you have dead skin cells, it's a disaster... it really emphasizes the flakiness (I'm okay because I don't often get flaky skin). Everything else is great, but the biggest drawback is the darkening effect. The darkening is really severe... So I apply a base underneath and then put on the cushion. Since this cushion tends to darken quite a bit, I apply a Two-Tone Makeup Base first, then layer the cushion on top! Alternatively, I'd recommend purchasing a shade lighter than your usual. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 19, 2024
I have sensitive, combination-to-dry skin in shade 17-19, and the staying power of this cushion is absolutely insane! When applied with the right amount, it goes on more smoothly than any other cushion. The coverage is good, and the color is beautiful! (It's darker and less pink than the Layered Fit 19N!) The inside feels moisturizing while the outside becomes pleasantly matte, so it should work for anyone who doesn't have extremely dry skin (though maybe not in winter). It also doesn't seem to settle into the creases around the nose! Unfortunately, it didn't agree with my sensitive skin. Using it caused blemishes on my forehead and worsened existing ones. (My skin is closer to dry, but it gets irritated and flushed when I apply thick or slightly oily creams during my nighttime skincare routine!) Also, except for summer, it tends to emphasize dead skin cells due to its matte finish, which is an issue for my skin that's prone to flaking. I really dislike when makeup looks cakey, and this cushion can go on thick if you're not careful, so you really need to control the amount well! However, if you can manage that, it's great! If only it didn't cause blemishes, it would've been my holy grail cushion. Such a shame! Be careful when dispensing the product onto the lid, it comes out really easily! I don't use powder separately because it emphasizes my dead skin cells, but the staying power is great! I recommend using a Daiso puff or another puff as the included one is on the smaller side. Recommended for all skin types except extremely dry and sensitive skin! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 7, 2024
It goes on super smoothly and adheres well. I don't use much skincare, just apply a blemish-covering sunscreen, and then put this on every day. It doesn't cake up and I love it so much, honestly. My skin isn't great (combination oily with small bumps), but while I'm not sure about the bumps, it really covers blemishes well! The mesh applicator makes controlling the amount a breeze. It's the epitome of natural beauty. You should definitely keep one on hand! The staying power isn't that great. Also, it tends to emphasize dead skin cells on my forehead. So I always have to remove and reapply it there... I found that putting a cotton pad on my forehead for a bit before applying the cushion helps. You don't really need to do this for the cheeks though. No matter how matte a cushion claims to be, for those with oily skin, powder isn't just an option - it's a must! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 17, 2024
The color is radiant. It has a subtle pink tint and applies thinly and evenly! Despite being a mesh texture, it's incredibly easy to control the amount, and it absorbs better than expected. There's some settling into nose creases and accentuation of skin texture. Right after application, the skin looks beautiful, but after a short while, the coverage starts to break down. It seems important to set it with powder immediately after applying the cushion. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinJan 16, 2024
It applies incredibly lightly - the lightest cushion I've ever used! The skin finish is absolutely beautiful. There's a tiny bit of pilling, but it leaves a soft, matte finish. It might be a bit drying in winter, but with proper skincare, it looks truly stunning! As I have oily skin that produces a lot of sebum, over time it emphasizes pores in the oily areas. It tends to pill and breaks down easily in summer, so I wouldn't recommend using it then. Please consider this as my personal opinion for reference! It's best to apply just the right amount of skincare products. If you apply too much, it will lead to more pilling and separation! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinNov 1, 2023
It's great for summer use, leaving the skin feeling fresh and matte. The compact case is also quite pretty. It significantly emphasizes dead skin cells. Although it's shade 17, the color is more suitable for shade 21, making it a bit dark. The scent is also not very pleasant.
