ConsThe typical heaviness of mineral sunscreen is unavoidable Leaves a shiny finish The low SPF may cause some concern for adults, but it is sufficient for daily use if not for water activities

Also, even though it's a sunscreen, there was no eye irritation, which is probably because it's safe for use with children.
ConsThe SPF is too low ๐ข And since I have dry skin, the application feels very thick and sticky... ๐ข It has a bit of a greasy feel, so ๐ข I didn't find it very easy to apply.
TipI think I'll need to mix it with a moisturizer or something ๐ข And it seems like I'll have to reapply it frequently ๐ข

Cons- It contains 2 types of filter ingredients, which is a bit disappointing.. Even though it's marketed as a mild sunscreen for kids, I'm not so sure.. - Those with oily skin may find it leaves a slightly greasy finish

As an essence-type sunscreen, it applies in a soft, supple way. It doesn't sting my eyes or leave a white cast, so it's easy to apply. It absorbs quickly, so it's great for reapplying throughout the day! I recently had an allergic reaction, and I was able to use this product with confidence since the ingredients are gentle.
ConsAfter applying, it can feel a bit like a film has been applied and there is a slight sheen. Those who prefer a more matte, powdery finish may find this a bit disappointing.
TipIf you'll be out for an extended period, it's best to reapply the sunscreen periodically to ensure full UV protection. It's more effective to apply it in lighter layers rather than all at once.

There's no stinging or irritation, which I really appreciated. I also liked that there was no white cast.
ConsThe finish is quite shiny and greasy. After applying, my skin, whether on my face or hands, feels oily and uncomfortable, especially during the summer. So I end up having to blot with tissue paper to soak up the excess oil.

The size fits perfectly in my small hands. It's also a good size to carry when traveling. - No fragrance: This can be a pro or con, but I personally like it. - Surprisingly soft and smooth application - It felt heavy when I first applied it, but there's no heavy feeling after absorption. - No eye irritation as it's mineral-based. - No white cast despite being mineral-based. - Leaves a glossy finish: When I applied the Barone Ecto-in Essence Sunscreen and then a semi-matte foundation, it finished with the right amount of matte without feeling dry. I liked it even more when the oil came through over time (this may depend on skin type). - Gentle ingredients: Since it's said to be safe even for infants, I expected it to be gentle, and it indeed did not cause any breakouts. I usually use gentle sunscreens as my skin is prone to breakouts, and I didn't have any issues while using this one, so the ingredients seem to be good. Conclusion: Gentle ingredients and non-drying mineral sunscreen
Cons- The finish is not as fresh and clean as some other sunscreens, so it may be difficult to apply on the body. - It's not a lightweight formula, so it requires more time to properly absorb. If not, it may feel heavy. - The oiliness may make it unsuitable for oily or combination skin types, especially in the summer. It's a shame as the ingredients are good, but the formula seems to be dependent on skin type and season.
TipFor dry skin types, applying the Barone Ecto-in Essence Sunscreen before a semi-matte or matte foundation can help prevent dryness.

As a sensitive and dry-skinned person, the lack of irritation and sufficient hydration without dryness were the most important factors for me. When applied around the eyes, there was no stinging sensation, and it felt like it penetrated the skin rather than just sitting on the surface. The combination of moisture and oil made it seem more suitable for dry skin than oily skin. I was worried the mineral sunscreen would be difficult to apply, but a small amount spread evenly without any clumping. While it didn't provide any color correction or tinting, it had a nice luminous glow in bright light, almost like in a photograph. Personally, I prefer using a separate makeup product for skin coverage and just relying on the sunscreen for UV protection, so this worked well for me. Even though I usually only use SPF 50 products, the lower SPF didn't seem to be an issue for everyday use, as I didn't notice significantly more tanning. Since it's a gentle formula suitable for children, the slightly lower SPF is understandable. The gentle mineral formula and compact size make it very convenient to carry around and reapply throughout the day.
ConsThe sunscreen seemed to have a lot of oil content, so it didn't fully remove with just a gentle soap or foam cleanser in one go. I think it would require a dedicated cleanser or cleansing oil to properly remove it. In a way, this oily quality also gave it a bit of a waterproof feel, so it's not entirely a downside!

I acknowledge that it's really mild enough for a baby to use. I've had LASIK and severe dry eye, so I can't just slather on sunscreen willy-nilly and my eyes get really irritated. If I apply sunscreen incorrectly, the symptoms show up right away in my eyes. But this product is really mild, doesn't irritate my skin, and I can apply it right under my eyes without any eye irritation at all - it was just wonderful. This is the sunscreen I've been searching for! ^^ Since it's certified organic, I feel even more confident using it. It's less sticky, and the fact that I can use it with my child makes it even more practical. When going out, I can just grab this one product and the whole family can use it. After giving birth, my skin became more sensitive, but this is safe and comfortable for my skin. I think I'll keep using this faithfully.
ConsThere's nothing particularly disappointing. I haven't had any breakouts and I'm very satisfied.
TipIt works great even when I use it before makeup - it doesn't pill up. ^^

It's not irritating or stinging on the eyes, which I really like! Some sunscreen products can feel heavy and stuffy when reapplying, but this one has a good size, the cap closes well, and the formula is easy to reapply, so it was actually better to use when going out and reapplying throughout the day.
ConsI did have some doubts since the sun protection factor is lower than other products on the market. I mainly used it for short trips out during daily life rather than for extended outdoor activities.

The UV cushion sunscreen I used to use had that distinct fragrance, but this one doesn't have it at all! The application is very smooth. When I apply it on my face, it has a nice, seamless adherence to the skin. I'm quite satisfied with it. And since it's so gentle, there's no stinging sensation around my eyes at all. Even though I sometimes experience eye irritation with mineral sunscreens, this one doesn't cause any issues whatsoever. That's probably why I find myself reaching for it so often.
ConsThere is a slight white cast. When I apply it on my skin, it has a tinted cream-like feel, but around my eyebrows, it leaves a whitish appearance. So I have to brush my eyebrows several times with a brow brush to blend it in. And the SPF is quite low, so if I have to be outdoors for an extended period, I don't feel as protected when I use this.
TipThe slight white cast and tinted cream-like feel actually work well for me when I mix it with a tone-up cream. First, the seamless adherence to my face helps the tone-up effect stay in place. And since the Ecto sunscreen has a lower SPF, mixing it with a tone-up product with sun protection gives me a bit more peace of mind in terms of UV coverage.
