After application, it gives your skin a bit of a glow. While there's some white cast when you first apply it, it tends to disappear quickly. I've heard that high SPF isn't always good for sensitive skin, so I appreciate that this has a moderate sun protection factor.
ConsDue to its rich texture, this product might not suit oily skin types. For me, it's probably only usable in the depths of winter. Even when I apply it in autumn, it feels too heavy on my skin.
TipRecommended for dry skin.

It instantly adheres to the skin, creating a seamless finish. Despite containing mineral UV filters and having a slight white cast, it doesn't feel heavy or greasy on the skin. Instead, it leaves your complexion feeling as if you've just completed your skincare routine. While there's a subtle white cast, it provides a clean and natural brightening effect with a beautiful, subtle glow that's not over the top.
ConsFor those with dry skin, the feel is nearly perfect. However, if you have oily skin, you might find it a bit heavy and rich for use during the peak of summer.
TipThe packaging is conveniently portable.

Cons- It's disappointing that it contains two ingredients to be cautious about. They claim it's a mild sunscreen suitable for children, but I'm not so sure... - Those with oily skin might find it a bit greasy

What I really adore is how it gives my face this beautiful glow - it's like my skin just lights up! It's a sunscreen, but it gives that dewy cream effect, making your complexion look absolutely stunning. The texture is incredibly rich - when you squeeze it out, you might wonder how thick it is, but it's even more concentrated than you'd expect when applying. I think this level of richness is quite unique. The scent isn't overpowering, so I didn't have strong feelings about it either way. Overall, I had a great experience using this product and highly recommend it. Just keep in mind that the glow can feel a bit oily and heavy, so those with oily skin might not be fans.
ConsThe downside is that it's so thick it can be a bit challenging to apply. However, once you start spreading it, it does go on smoothly. It's more oily than I expected, so it might actually be better suited for winter rather than summer. It's rich but feels quite greasy.
TipYou don't need to layer on thick base products to achieve a moisturized feel, so you can apply this without focusing too much on heavy skincare beforehand!

Packaging The white and green combination of the packaging is clean and cute. Its small size makes it convenient to carry around and apply on-the-go. 2. Gentle Formula With its non-nano, silicone-free, and mineral sunscreen formulation, this product is suitable for everyone from infants to adults, including pregnant women. It's certified as a 'low-irritation sunscreen' by the stringent standards of German Dermatest. As someone who tends to break out from pore-clogging ingredients, I always check the ingredient list. I was able to use this without worrying about blemishes thanks to its non-nano powder and silicone-free formula. 3. Application A sunscreen that glides on smoothly and absorbs well makes it easier to apply base makeup afterwards. The Ectoin Essence Sunscreen lives up to its name - it applies as smoothly as an essence with great absorption. Despite being a mineral sunscreen, it has excellent spreadability and maintains hydration for a long time.
Cons1. Rich Texture As much as it applies smoothly and feels hydrating, it can feel a bit rich over time. This might be perfect for those with deep dryness or dry skin types! Personally, I think its benefits would be maximized when used in winter.
Tip1. Reapplication Since the SPF is 37, I recommend reapplying multiple times! Its low irritation and good absorption make it suitable for frequent reapplication. 2. Cleansing Being gentle and non-pore clogging, it washes off easily even with just a primary cleanse, making the cleansing process hassle-free!

However, I found it surprisingly difficult to find a mineral sunscreen with truly safe ingredients. That's why I was genuinely thrilled when I saw Barroncie's Ectoin sunscreen described as an organic mineral sunscreen - that alone significantly boosted my satisfaction! Plus, I was immediately impressed by its clean and modern packaging. The aspect I'm most satisfied with is the texture. As someone with very dry and sensitive skin, I need a sunscreen that's moisturizing without being oily, and the Ectoin sunscreen has a pleasantly rich consistency. This is great because on sweaty summer days, lighter sunscreens tend to quickly melt off, leaving parts of your face unprotected. With the Ectoin sunscreen, its substantial texture and noticeable hydration mean I don't have to keep reapplying. What's more, as time passes, any initial richness fades, leaving behind only hydration that beautifully melds with foundation for a natural glow. Other emulsion-type sunscreens might feel fresh at first, but they lose moisture over time, causing makeup to break down. For a mineral sunscreen, it truly has zero white cast. Even though mineral sunscreens are known for better physical UV protection, the white residue has always been a drawback. This one applies smoothly with absolutely no white cast. Most importantly, it offers excellent UV protection! I applied it diligently to my neck this summer, and for the first time, I didn't get any darkening there. It really seems like mineral sunscreens are superior. Great ingredients, strong protection, good hydration, and smooth application - I'm genuinely impressed with this product!
ConsThis is more of a personal preference issue rather than a drawback. The texture is quite rich and leaves a very moisturizing finish. When I applied it together with my boyfriend who has oily skin, he found the oily feeling too heavy for his liking. It might be a bit too much for those with oily skin. Oily skin types should keep this in mind!
TipI found that mixing it with a more fluid moisturizer improved its spreadability! Mixing it in about a 1:2 ratio might work better for summer use.

I absolutely loved that! Also, it's great that there's no white cast!
ConsThe finish is quite greasy... Whether it's on my hands or face, it leaves a shiny residue that feels heavy in this summer weather. As a result, I find myself blotting off the excess oil with a tissue, just like using blotting paper.

Being a mineral sunscreen, it offers a slight brightening effect. The compact, round packaging makes it super portable!
ConsThis product fell short of my expectations in many ways. For starters, the quantity is small for the price. But the biggest issue? It's so oily... oh my goodness! It feels like applying Vaseline. The typical thick texture of mineral sunscreens combined with an excessive amount of oil made my face and neck feel so greasy that I had to wash it off immediately. I've been loving the G* mugwort sunscreen, but this one is hard to get used to. It's definitely challenging to use in summer, and even those with very dry skin might struggle with the excess oil that just sits on top of the skin. Sadly, I find it difficult to use even on my feet.
TipIf you're into that glowy skin look, applying this sunscreen as a base will definitely give you that ultra-dewy complexion!

It would be great as a body sunscreen for those who enjoy outdoor activities, especially swimming or water sports. While it might feel heavy for everyday use due to its thick texture, this oiliness could actually be beneficial during outdoor activities. When you're in contact with water or sweating, the sunscreen is less likely to wash off and should last longer.
ConsIt's quite oily, and instead of absorbing well, it leaves a sticky layer on the skin. You should be cautious when using this on your face.

I could use it with peace of mind due to its non-irritating formula. Moisturizing: The hydration level is perfect for winter use. Even in dry weather, my skin remained well-hydrated. Glowing complexion: When applied, it gives the skin a natural glow, making it look healthy. It even works well as a makeup base.
ConsRich texture: The rich consistency might be a bit heavy for those with oily skin. It could be especially challenging to control excess oil during summer months. Absorption: Rather than feeling fresh upon application, it leaves a slight residual feeling. It's as if a thin film forms on the skin. Low SPF: The SPF is a bit low, which is disappointing for strong summer sun protection. On days with lots of outdoor activities, you might need to layer with additional sunscreen.
TipRecommended for winter use: I highly recommend using this in dry winter months for its excellent moisturizing effects. It keeps the skin hydrated effectively. Use as a makeup base: If you want a glowing complexion, try using this as a base before makeup. It allows for a natural, healthy-looking skin. Apply in small amounts multiple times: For those concerned about the rich texture, try applying small amounts in multiple layers. This allows for a lighter application. The Baroncy Ectoin Essence Sun Cream has a rich, bouncy texture that might not suit those with oily skin. However, its moisturizing properties make it suitable for dry or combination dehydrated skin, especially in winter. While the low SPF is a drawback, and it does leave a slight residual feeling, its glow-inducing and gentle formula makes it suitable even for super sensitive skin.
