I could use it with peace of mind due to its non-irritating formula. Moisturizing: The hydration level is perfect for winter use. Even in dry weather, my skin remained well-hydrated. Glowing complexion: When applied, it gives the skin a natural glow, making it look healthy. It even works well as a makeup base.
ConsRich texture: The rich consistency might be a bit heavy for those with oily skin. It could be especially challenging to control excess oil during summer months. Absorption: Rather than feeling fresh upon application, it leaves a slight residual feeling. It's as if a thin film forms on the skin. Low SPF: The SPF is a bit low, which is disappointing for strong summer sun protection. On days with lots of outdoor activities, you might need to layer with additional sunscreen.
TipRecommended for winter use: I highly recommend using this in dry winter months for its excellent moisturizing effects. It keeps the skin hydrated effectively. Use as a makeup base: If you want a glowing complexion, try using this as a base before makeup. It allows for a natural, healthy-looking skin. Apply in small amounts multiple times: For those concerned about the rich texture, try applying small amounts in multiple layers. This allows for a lighter application. The Baroncy Ectoin Essence Sun Cream has a rich, bouncy texture that might not suit those with oily skin. However, its moisturizing properties make it suitable for dry or combination dehydrated skin, especially in winter. While the low SPF is a drawback, and it does leave a slight residual feeling, its glow-inducing and gentle formula makes it suitable even for super sensitive skin.

Perfect size even for my small hands. Great for travel too. - No fragrance: This could be hit or miss, but I'm a fan. - Surprisingly smooth application, not as thick as expected. - Initially felt heavy, but no heaviness after absorption. - No eye irritation thanks to being a mineral sunscreen. - No white cast despite being mineral-based. - Leaves a glowy finish: When I applied a semi-matte foundation over Barroncie Ectoin Essence Suncream, it finished with just the right amount of matte on top without any deep dryness. I loved it even more as the natural oils came through over time (this may vary depending on skin type). - Gentle ingredients, no blemishes: I was excited to hear it's safe even for infants, and true to its promise, I had no breakouts. My skin tends to react to sunscreens, so I usually stick to gentle ones. No issues throughout use, which speaks to its quality ingredients. Conclusion: A mineral sunscreen with kind ingredients that doesn't dry out the skin.
Cons- The finish isn't completely fresh like you've applied nothing, so it might be tricky to use on the body. - It's not a lightweight formula, so take time to absorb it well when applying. Otherwise, it might pill. - Due to its rich texture, it might be challenging for oily or combination skin types to use in summer. It's a shame that despite its great ingredients, it's limited by skin type and season.
TipFor dry skin types who find it challenging to apply semi-matte or matte foundations, applying Barroncie Ectoin Essence Suncream beforehand can help you apply foundation without experiencing deep dryness.

It gives the skin a radiant glow, making it look fantastic when worn alone (recommended for foundation-free days!) - It doesn't absorb instantly, but it does absorb quickly without feeling like it's sitting on top of the skin or not being absorbed - As someone with dry skin who often feels tightness under air conditioning, this seems to prevent moisture loss to some extent
ConsDrawbacks: - As it's not a light and fresh sunscreen, it's not recommended for oily skin types, and men might find it a bit heavy - For the same reason, it's not ideal for those who want to use a single sunscreen for both face and body - It didn't seem to pair well with my cushion foundation (JSM). On days when I used this, I received feedback that my makeup looked a bit patchy
TipThis product might be better suited for fall/winter seasons rather than summer

My skin type is combination dehydrated. The product is absolutely fantastic! It's rich in both hydration and oils, so it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry. Thanks to its great ingredients, I didn't experience any blemishes! With its perfect balance of moisture and oil, I think it'll be perfect for winter use!
ConsAs much as the product is wonderfully moisturizing, it might not be suitable for summer use. Although it's described as refreshing, I don't think the texture is actually that light.

For someone sensitive to sunscreen scents, the fragrance isn't unpleasant. For a mineral sunscreen, it doesn't leave a severe white cast.
ConsThis product could have been great for users seeking specific effects if the description was well-written. However, the explanation contradicts the product's actual characteristics. Consumers who buy based on the description might end up thinking, 'Huh? This isn't good.' Who wrote this description? The description claims it's refreshing, but in reality, it's closer to being greasy. While experiences may vary, it's definitely not refreshing. You can feel the oiliness while applying, and even after spreading a thin layer on your face, there's a noticeable greasiness. This oiliness doesn't create a glowy, slightly dewy base that works well with makeup. Instead, it finishes with a sticky feeling. Since sunscreen is applied all over the face and is essential, users naturally have texture preferences. The misleading description is the biggest drawback. If described accurately, this could have been a great product for those with dry skin. This is just my misunderstanding, but the term 'essence' in the product name feels a bit odd. These days, in the sunscreen world, products labeled as 'essence' often tend to be chemical sunscreens that absorb quickly. So I initially assumed this was a chemical sunscreen. Only after seeing it described as a mineral sunscreen did I realize that 'essence sunCREAM' likely refers to a richer, more nourishing texture. From a consumer's perspective, who often predicts the texture based on the product name, this could be confusing. Coupled with the completely opposite product characteristics mentioned earlier, it made me wonder if someone unfamiliar with the product wrote the name and description. Of course, if I'm the only one confused, it's not an issue - it might just be my lack of sunscreen knowledge.

Application: I expected a thin consistency due to its moisturizing claims, but it's surprisingly rich. It's heavier and more emollient than a typical hydrating formula. Despite this, it spreads smoothly and doesn't leave much of a white cast, naturally brightening the skin. As someone with dry skin, I thought the oil content would keep me moisturized, but I felt some dryness after a while. It's best to use hydrating skincare products underneath. Packaging: The product is compact and perfect for on-the-go use. The case is also quite cute.
ConsThe disappointing aspect was that despite being advertised as moisturizing and refreshing, it's actually quite heavy and rich in oils.
TipThe rich, oily formula might cause blemishes for those with oily skin. It's probably too heavy for current use, but would be ideal for fall or winter.

I applied it with peace of mind and experienced no irritation like stinging eyes. ✓ Fragrance-free: It has a natural, grass-like scent. While it's not exactly pleasant, I appreciate that it doesn't contain artificial fragrances!
Cons✗ Ingredients: A bit... concerning. It contains 2 out of 20 ingredients to be cautious about. ✗ Application: It's thicker than expected. When you hear 'essence sunscreen', you usually expect something that glides on thinly and absorbs quickly. Instead of feeling light and fresh, it's slightly rich with a moisturizing effect. It's a matter of personal preference, but I prefer a more matte finish, so this isn't for me...
TipThis might be better suited for cooler, drier weather rather than the current humid and hot season. I'd recommend this for those with dry skin!
