I thought it would be greasy and runny since it's an essence sunscreen, but it applies smoothly without any oiliness, leaving the skin firm and hydrated. As a mineral, fragrance-free, non-nano, and silicone-free product, even those with super sensitive skin can use it freely! It's so moisturizing that you can easily reapply it multiple times without any burden.
ConsAlthough the ingredients are gentle, those who dislike feeling stuffy might find it a bit heavy during the summer months.
TipFor effective sun protection, apply thoroughly 30 minutes before going outside.

Especially severe in T-zone, chin, and around the mouth. Skin prone to blemishes. (Dry even in summer) Scent: A subtle forest-like fragrance, but very faint. Texture: Rich cream type Skin feel: Due to its rich texture, if your skincare routine isn't properly done, you might feel some friction when applying. This is characteristic of dry skin types. However, when absorbed properly, it gives a moisturized effect after makeup. I used it for the full period and was concerned about makeup clumping due to its thick consistency, but as it sinks in over time, it feels elastic and hydrated, resulting in a natural finish.
ConsThis is typical for dry skin, but if you apply it hastily without proper skincare prep, it can feel a bit tacky due to its viscosity.
TipAfter ensuring your skincare has fully absorbed, apply an appropriate amount to each area, then gently pat and press it into the skin. This method helps it absorb without stickiness, leaving your skin feeling moisturized.

Despite being a mineral sunscreen, it applies smoothly without any roughness or dryness. Initially, I was concerned the moisturizing effect might be too intense for summer use due to its glossy finish, but it quickly absorbs into the skin. The nourishing ingredients, rather than oils, seem to plump up the skin, giving it a healthier appearance as a bonus. While it's a mineral sunscreen, the brightening effect isn't dramatic, but it does slightly even out the skin tone. Even though it's a 50ml size, the compact packaging makes it great for on-the-go. It doesn't leave white marks on clothes, making it perfect for frequent reapplication.
ConsWhile it's excellent for dry skin, those with oily complexions might find the texture less suitable. Its intense hydration makes it more appropriate for winter or transitional seasons rather than summer.

As someone with extremely dry skin, I really appreciate the thick, nourishing texture. I think those with very dry skin could use this year-round, except perhaps during the rainy season. 2. I love that it doesn't leave any white cast.
ConsThe only concern is that there might be some ingredients to be cautious about...? Other than that, I don't have any complaints.

However, the Baroncy Ectoin Essence Sunscreen applies smoothly and feels hydrating, likely due to its essence-like formula. It's gentle around the eyes with no stinging or white cast, making application a breeze. It absorbs quickly, which is great for rushed mornings! Recently, I've been prone to allergic reactions, but the gentle ingredients in this sunscreen allowed me to use it confidently without any skin irritation.
ConsAfter application, it feels like there's a slight film on the skin and leaves a bit of a glow. If you prefer a matte, powder-like finish, you might find this aspect a bit disappointing.
TipFor extended outdoor activities, it's best to reapply regularly for complete UV protection. Applying small amounts frequently is more effective than one thick layer.

When I first squeezed this one out, I thought it would be hard to apply. But surprisingly, it glides on smoothly, leaving almost no white cast and a nice, firm finish! I have sensitive skin, especially on my body, and often get hives from oily products. However, this caused no irritation at all. While it's not as fluid as an emulsion, it initially feels a bit sticky but then settles into a comfortably snug feeling on the skin.
ConsMaybe it's the heat, but by afternoon, I notice a slight oil buildup on my face after application.
TipFor an even more seamless application that really adheres to your skin, try using a puff to apply it!

Since it's marketed as safe for children, it caused absolutely no irritation. I usually dislike moisturizing sunscreens because they often have a watery texture, but this one has a rich consistency. After gently massaging it in, it absorbs well and feels like it's creating a thin protective layer on my skin, which I love.
ConsAfter application, there's a slight glow, which some people might appreciate. Personally, I prefer products that are hydrating but have a matte finish, so that was a bit disappointing for me.
TipWhen using it on my face, I found it works best to follow up with a slightly matte cushion foundation to balance out the finish.

You need to massage and pat it in several times, which initially made me think it might be matte. However, as time passed, my face felt comfortable and maintained a plump feeling without any dryness, which I really liked! Formulation: The container is quite firm, so you need to squeeze with some force. I thought it might be a runny liquid sunscreen, but surprisingly it has a plump emulsion, cream-like texture. This made it easy to control the amount, which was great! Scent: It's nearly fragrance-free. While it's not the easiest to spread, the way it leaves your skin feeling comfortable after application is its biggest advantage!
ConsThere weren't really any downsides. While it's close to being fragrance-free, there is a slight scent that I personally didn't find particularly fresh or pleasant.
TipI think it's best to spread it well and pat it in thoroughly!

My skin type? I have extremely dry skin in winter, and unless it's a scorching humid summer, I'm always battling dryness. Even though I'm diligent about applying moisturizer and focusing on hydration, on days when I slack off on my skincare routine, I feel tightness, stinging, and like there's a film over my face. The Barroncie sunscreen is incredibly rich and creamy. Its texture reminds me of a mix between Guerlain L'Or and Etude's Glow On - it's thick and adheres well to the skin, helping makeup stay put. Usually, mineral sunscreens feel heavy and gritty over time, like there's fine sand rolling around on my face. This irritation often led me to choose chemical sunscreens instead. But with this one, I've never felt any heaviness or dryness, even after 8-10 hours of wear. I use it every single day without fail. The Hwahae Testers might have some preconceptions, but I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone with skin like mine. As long as it's not discontinued, I'll keep restocking it - I think I've found my holy grail product for life. While I wouldn't recommend it to those who dislike sunscreens that leave a slightly sticky feeling, there are plenty of other options out there for them. For me, the Barroncie sunscreen is a game-changer. It's so gentle that I even apply it daily on my child before they go to daycare.
ConsDue to its rich and moisturizing formula, I wouldn't recommend this to those with oily skin or those who dislike any stickiness.
TipOn busy days when there's no time for a full skincare routine, I can just apply toner, followed by this product, and then makeup. My foundation or cushion compact adheres perfectly without any tightness or dryness.

It doesn't absorb quickly when spreading on the skin, and after fully applying, it leaves a finish where hair can stick to the skin. (Initially, it feels quite rich, but after application, it's less sticky than you'd expect given its texture) Applied foundation with a dry puff, and it didn't pill. It left a nice dewy finish. It also didn't pill when applied over powder. (I liked how it was moisturizing underneath but matte on the surface) For me, this sunscreen seems better suited for fall transitional weather or winter rather than summer. Regardless of its texture, this sunscreen is undoubtedly gentle and non-irritating. It would be great for those with sensitive skin or looking for a non-irritating option.
ConsDifficult to use year-round for combination skin. Not an essence-type texture, so it takes some time to spread, making it challenging to use when in a rush in the morning. Slightly sticky when applied to arms. Sun protection factor isn't very high: SPF37 PA+++ (Perhaps due to its gentleness)
TipIf you don't like applying with your hands, using a damp beauty sponge works well too. Recommended for those who don't sweat much on their face and feel dry even in summer. According to reviews, it's gentle enough for those with atopic dermatitis and suitable for the whole family to use.
