It's so lightweight! The texture feels like applying a serum, making it comfortable to use without feeling heavy. It absorbs quickly and well, with almost no oily residue. Once it dries a bit, you can apply foundation without any issues. The scent has a slight sunscreen-like fragrance, but it's not overpowering or unpleasant. The slim packaging makes it easy to carry around anywhere. As someone who prefers sunscreens with a slight whitening effect instead of applying foundation separately, I was a bit disappointed. This product doesn't provide any brightening, and it's so lightweight that you might even forget you've applied sunscreen. That aspect was somewhat unsatisfying for me. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 9, 2024
It's fragrance-free, so you can apply it generously without any discomfort. It's very comfortable to use. The emulsion has a non-runny texture with a slight yellow tint. It doesn't leave a white cast or feel heavy on the skin. The application is as easy as applying a moisturizer - it spreads smoothly even when applied with one hand. For someone with dry skin like me, I felt a slight dryness when using it outdoors in the middle of winter. However, because it's gentle, it was nice to be able to reapply multiple times without issues. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 8, 2024
✔️ Texture The formula is thin with a slight viscosity. It absorbs well due to its lightweight nature, and when applied before makeup, it spreads thinly without pilling. I'm completely satisfied with how well my foundation applies over this! ✔️ Hydration For my combination dehydrated skin, this sunscreen is quite moisturizing, making it perfect for dry winter days. It's not greasy at all, just full of hydration, which I love. My skin doesn't feel suffocated either. ✔️ Fragrance-free I absolutely love that it's fragrance-free!!! Fragrances can be bad for the skin, and I find it uncomfortable to apply products with artificial scents or that 'mom's makeup' smell. ✔️ Gentle No skin irritation at all! It doesn't cause blemishes and is very gentle. I haven't found any downsides yet. If I had to pick something, maybe the price? - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 7, 2024
Review from The Hwahae Testers Skin Type: Very dry, super sensitive skin, prone to blemishes Please keep in mind that everyone's skin type is different. This review is based on testing the product on my own skin! Application: The moisturizing formula makes it very easy to apply. Many sunscreens have a thick texture, but this product glides on as smoothly as an emulsion. Scent: As someone sensitive to fragrances, I didn't find the scent bothersome at all! It's close to being unscented. Blemishes: The absence of oil ingredients makes it suitable for skin sensitive to oils. (This also means there's no stickiness) However, it contains alcohol, which was a bit harsh for my skin. If you have sensitive skin, it might be safer to test it on a small area first before applying it all over your face! Moisture and Oil Balance: I'd say it's about 90% hydration, 10% oil. This product would be great for those looking for a moisturizing rather than oily feel! Suitable for: Dry skin - Summer use Combination skin - All seasons Oily skin - All seasons Makeup Compatibility: Due to its emulsion-like texture without any stickiness or heaviness, it didn't cause any makeup separation or sliding. Value for Money: The emulsion-like texture means you might use more product compared to other sunscreens. Given the small size and price point similar to other sunscreens, it might run out quickly. Value for Money: The emulsion-like texture means you might use more product compared to other sunscreens. Given the small size and price point similar to other sunscreens, it might run out quickly. The texture of this product is really excellent. I highly recommend it to those looking for a sunscreen that applies as lightly as an emulsion! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinJan 5, 2024
The texture is a slightly yellow-tinted white, reminiscent of a thin emulsion. There's a faint artificial scent, but it disappears when applied, so it could be considered fragrance-free. Its fluid emulsion-like consistency allows for easy application without leaving a white cast. When applied, it gives a subtle glow without feeling sticky. It feels like it's hydrating the skin, adhering well to the face like a moisturizing emulsion. It's perfect for light outings and convenient to carry. It's gentle enough that it doesn't irritate the skin or sting the eyes. The tube packaging is hygienic. Due to its thin emulsion-type consistency, you need to apply it quickly before it drips. If you rub it a bit after application, it pills like dead skin. The price seems a bit high for this amount of product. While it's a hydrating sunscreen, it may not provide enough moisture on its own. For best results, apply a hydrating base first, then follow with this sunscreen to maintain long-lasting hydration. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 3, 2024
I was amazed at how incredibly soft and hydrating this felt when applied, just like a moisturizer! Having only used sunscreens masquerading as brightening moisturizers that left a white cast, I was thrilled to find this one had absolutely no white residue. Since it's free from artificial fragrances, those with sensitive skin should be able to use it without worry! (Though there is a very slight tangy scent.) I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a fresh finish without feeling heavy. The hydration seems to dissipate rather quickly, so you might want to apply a separate moisturizer for better results. And the price... isn't as smooth and hydrating as the product itself. You might need to negotiate a truce with your wallet before purchasing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 31, 2023
Many sunscreens have overpowering scents, whether for face or body. I'm not a fan of strong fragrances, so I absolutely loved that this one doesn't have that artificial cosmetic smell. True to its name 'Water Soft Sunscreen', it has a hydrating feel that worked well for my dry skin and absorbs beautifully. I've been using the birch tree moisturizing sunscreen for a long time, so I couldn't help but compare. This one feels a bit more substantial than the birch tree version in terms of hydration. If you experience a lot of dryness in fall and winter, you'll likely be satisfied with this. However, if you apply a cream and then this on top, it might feel a bit heavy for some people. Since it's a sunscreen without white cast, its compatibility with foundation is crucial. I'm not sure if you can apply sunscreen and get your foundation to adhere well in a rushed morning before work. The ingredients are gentle, so it seems safe to use without worry. I love the packaging - it's beautifully designed. As expected, its compatibility with foundation is somewhat disappointing. If you apply the recommended amount of sunscreen, it seems like foundation or cushion doesn't adhere well. That's a bit of a letdown. If you use mist frequently, you might want to apply this sunscreen only under your eyes. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 8, 2023
🔶 First and foremost, the key ingredients and blemish control: Definitely seems like it could be suitable for those with super sensitive skin, probably because it doesn't contain artificial fragrances. Personally, I didn't experience any blemishes. It's great~!! 🔶 Scent: There's no particular fragrance, but it's not completely unscented either? It's not bothersome and I don't think it'll be polarizing. It's pleasantly neutral. 🔶 Application: The way it absorbs is truly~~~!!!!! The ultimate!!!!!!! It has an absorption between an essence and an emulsion~ Simply put, the absorption is amazing!!!Period!!!!!!!!! 🔶 Texture and formulation: It feels like a slightly runny emulsion. It absorbs well, which is great~~ 🔶 Eye irritation and white cast: I liked that there wasn't much eye irritation, and especially appreciated that it doesn't leave a noticeable white cast~ 🔶 It's not matte, and feels light rather than heavy, making it great for applying makeup 💎 Longevity: Personally, I couldn't really tell about its staying power. 💎 Hydration: The hydration feels slightly lacking? 💎 Price: The price is, well~ a bit wicked~ 💛 It's good to stock up during promotions~ 💛 It doesn't apply thickly, so it's re~ally good to use before applying makeup!!!! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 8, 2023
Usually, sunscreens are applied before makeup, and if they're too sticky, they can cause your makeup to pill, making it worse than not applying any at all. That's why I often only apply a small amount or use foundation with built-in UV protection. However, this product truly lives up to its 'watery' name. It doesn't feel like you're applying sunscreen at all. It absorbs well with a light, emulsion-like texture, leaving your skin feeling moisturized. This creates a solid base, allowing makeup to adhere better. I really appreciated that it has no artificial fragrance and doesn't leave a white cast. While I'm extremely satisfied with the product itself, the only downsides, if you can call them that, are the somewhat small volume and the not-so-budget-friendly price tag. These factors make it a bit challenging to use the sunscreen generously. Nevertheless, I'm so pleased with the product that I'll definitely stock up if there's a sale. For best results, apply it as the final step in your skincare routine, patting it on like you would an emulsion. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinDec 8, 2023
Texture: It applies smoothly like an emulsion and feels quite fluid, making it easy to spread lightly. Perhaps because of this, the sunscreen seems to adhere well without feeling heavy or pilling. Blemishes: I have acne-prone skin that's susceptible to blemishes, but after using it for about a week, I haven't experienced any issues and am using it well. This sunscreen feels moisturizing and spreads easily, making it perfect for winter use. Plus, it doesn't have that typical sunscreen scent, which makes it even more comfortable to apply! It also doesn't leave a white cast, so it's suitable to use before makeup and great for daily use. It feels very moisturizing, so it might be too rich or cause makeup to slide off in summer. (To be honest, I haven't tried it in summer yet, but based on how it applies now, that's my impression.) When applied right before makeup, it seems to provide a moisturizing effect and helps the makeup go on smoothly without pilling! Since it's hydrating, it seems even better if you pat it in thoroughly to help it absorb.
