True to its name, it feels like a mix between a gel and an emulsion. When you apply it, it's instantly hydrating and cool, but quickly settles to a fresh finish. After application, the surface feels soft and powdery, while underneath it feels deeply hydrated. It's not at all heavy, even on hot and humid days. The soothing effect is also quite good! My cheeks often get red due to wearing masks, but after applying this Innisfree Gel Emulsion, I feel like the heat sensation subsides. It's great for use on irritated skin too!
ConsIf I had to point out a drawback, the moisturizing effect doesn't last very long. It gives an immediate boost of hydration, but those with dry skin or those using it at night might find it a bit lacking.
TipMy pro tip is to keep it in the refrigerator before use! Especially when your skin is super sensitive or feeling hot, applying it cold really doubles the cooling effect and soothing power. For daytime, I recommend using it alone for a light layer. At night, try layering it under a moisturizing cream. This way, you can get that burst of hydration while maintaining long-lasting moisture!

The pump bottle made it convenient to use. My skin has been extra sensitive lately due to dryness, but this product had a soothing effect. It was especially effective when used with a modeling mask - my skin calmed down quickly. It's very hydrating and absorbs well.
ConsThe scent is a bit disappointing, but not strong enough to cause a headache, so it's okay. The hydration and lasting power could be better though. You'll need to apply a separate moisturizer.

Cons* Scent: The fragrance might be polarizing. While it doesn't linger for long, I personally find the initial scent slightly off-putting.

Texture, Application, and Absorption It has a slightly thicker, bouncy gel texture compared to regular soothing gels. Applies smoothly with an instant cooling effect. Absorbs well without stickiness or pilling, and plays nicely with makeup! 2. Moisturizing Power Despite being a gel emulsion, it provides great hydration. The combination of water and oil creates a thin protective layer after absorption, rather than evaporating quickly. For longer-lasting effects, I recommend applying it over a toner or essence. 3. Effectiveness During the changing seasons and spring, my skin tends to get itchy and red due to pollen and fine dust. This gel emulsion's cooling effect provides instant relief. The aloe vera, which usually works well for me, helped soothe my skin. It contains ectoin to prevent moisture loss, along with dexpanthenol and ceramides for synergistic effects. This combination keeps the skin hydrated and moisturized for longer, even though it's a gel emulsion. 4. Fragrance and Ingredients I enjoyed the subtle sweet scent. It's free from 19 potentially irritating ingredients, and boasts: - EVE VEGAN certification - Dermatest Excellent grade - All ingredients rated EWG Green This makes it safe for everyone from infants to adults. 5. Packaging The pump-type container is hygienic and convenient to use. 6. Recommended Skin Types With its gentle ingredients, it's suitable for all skin types. However, as it's a soothing gel, those with very dry skin might want to follow up with a cream for extra moisture.
ConsAs someone with dry skin, I found the long-lasting moisturizing effect a bit lacking over time, so I made sure to finish with a rich moisturizing cream.
TipApplying this after a toner or essence improved both absorption and hydration. For facial use, I found that layering it thinly twice enhanced its adherence to the skin. In summer, storing it in the refrigerator could provide an extra cooling effect during application.

It feels like a typical vegan emulsion - nothing out of the ordinary. It goes on smoothly, absorbs well without leaving any residue, and has a refreshing finish. I think it would be great for those with oily skin too. While it doesn't provide an intense burst of hydration, it offers a decent level of moisture typical of gel-type emulsions. Irritation: As someone with super sensitive skin, I found it to be incredibly gentle with absolutely no irritation! However, I did experience some eye sensitivity for the first 3-4 days, but that disappeared after that.
ConsThe scent... It has an incredibly strong plum fragrance. Maybe because of the stereotypes associated with vegan emulsions, I was expecting it to be fragrance-free or have a very subtle, fresh scent. But the fragrance is almost as strong as a perfumed body lotion, which made it a bit uncomfortable to apply. Of course, the scent doesn't linger for long - it's just very noticeable during application. Once I layer on moisturizer and barrier cream, I don't really notice the scent anymore. This might be a love-it-or-hate-it factor for some users.

When first applied, there's a fresh scent that feels gentle, perhaps due to the product image. Coming from mostly unscented products lately, this fragrance might seem a bit strong at first, but it's not unpleasant - I actually like it. The gel texture applies moisturizing without any stickiness and absorbs quickly into the skin.
ConsWhile it absorbs well and provides good hydration, the lasting power is slightly disappointing. Once it's absorbed, you're left with just a moisturized feeling, but for very dry skin, it doesn't last too long, which is a bit of a letdown. However, I consider this a common issue with soothing gels, so I'm only mildly disappointed. That said, soothing gels are perfect for the upcoming summer, so using it seasonally would be ideal.

Here's my 2-week usage review. The absorption is great - it's a gel-type emulsion that applies lightly! It's gentle! I have somewhat blemish-prone skin that worsens with incompatible cosmetics, but I used this without any blemish issues. I liked that it can be applied to both face and body. After showering, I applied the emulsion before dressing, and unlike sticky products I dislike, this formula absorbed well with a fresh feeling and no discomfort.
Cons- Dislike the scent: While not overpowering, there's a brief artificial fragrance that I don't particularly enjoy, so I wouldn't recommend it for facial use. However, it doesn't linger long, so it's tolerable. - Longevity: While the moisturizing effect is good, I didn't feel it lasted very long. This might be due to the dry weather. It's more of a light emulsion suitable for summer rather than winter?
TipIt's an emulsion light enough for summer use. When you need neck wrinkle hydration but dislike stickiness, it's great for lightly applying to the neck area. If you dislike the slipperiness of hand creams, apply this lightly to the back of your hands frequently. It's refreshingly moisturizing and recommended for adequate care in dry weather!

(I have oily skin) 3) Skin-soothing effect: Helps calm irritated skin, making it stable even for sensitive skin types. 4) Suitable for various skin types: Not heavy, so it feels comfortable when layered as the final step in your skincare routine.
ConsCons: 1) May not be moisturizing enough: If you have very dry skin, this product alone might not be sufficient. It might be better to use it alongside a cream. Still, I recommend it unless you have extremely dry skin. 2) Ingredient awareness needed: In my opinion, some users might be sensitive to certain ingredients, so it's worth checking the ingredient list. 3) Longevity could be better: Depending on your skin type, you might feel that the moisturizing effect doesn't last as long as you'd like.
TipOverall Review: The Innoan Soothing Gel Emulsion is a lightweight and refreshing product that still provides decent hydration. It's especially recommendable for those looking for a non-sticky option during summer. However, if you have very dry skin, you might want to pair it with a cream for better results.

I'd recommend this for oily, combination, and super sensitive skin types! If you have dry skin, make sure to add a cream on top! Here's my review after using it for 6 days! It's a gel-type emulsion that applies lightly while providing ample hydration. It absorbs well without feeling sticky, leaving a fresh finish. ✔ Absorbs gently without irritating the skin ✔ Low oil content, making it suitable for everyday use ✔ You can feel its soothing effect on the skin ✔ Absorbs quickly, allowing for multiple layers without pilling With its light moisturizing effect and quick absorption, this product is great for basic skincare routines. It's particularly well-suited for oily or combination dehydrated skin due to its low oil content. However, if you have dry skin, you might want to layer a moisturizing cream on top for better satisfaction. I even used it on my body, and it's absolutely fantastic there! It's not sticky and keeps my skin hydrated until morning!
ConsThe hydration doesn't last very long, so it might not be enough on its own for dry skin types. There's a lingering scent, which might disappoint those who prefer fragrance-free products (as someone who dislikes fragrances myself...). It would be nice if we could choose from different sizes.
