True to its name, it feels like a mix between a gel and an emulsion. When you apply it, it's instantly hydrating and cool, but quickly settles to a fresh finish. After application, the surface feels soft and powdery, while underneath it feels deeply hydrated. It's not at all heavy, even on hot and humid days. The soothing effect is also quite good! My cheeks often get red due to wearing masks, but after applying this Innisfree Gel Emulsion, I feel like the heat sensation subsides. It's great for use on irritated skin too! If I had to point out a drawback, the moisturizing effect doesn't last very long. It gives an immediate boost of hydration, but those with dry skin or those using it at night might find it a bit lacking. My pro tip is to keep it in the refrigerator before use! Especially when your skin is super sensitive or feeling hot, applying it cold really doubles the cooling effect and soothing power. For daytime, I recommend using it alone for a light layer. At night, try layering it under a moisturizing cream. This way, you can get that burst of hydration while maintaining long-lasting moisture! - ga*********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 17, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I actually ended up using it for about 20 days due to a late submission. First off, the way it absorbs is similar to the red cream from Doc*or! I had a feeling this formula would be even better if refrigerated before use, so that's exactly what I did. And wow! Using it this way gave a cooling sensation that seemed to soothe my skin's heat. I love that it doesn't have any overpowering scent! I really dislike artificial fragrances, so this is perfect for me. My skin type is combination dehydrated. The gel-like, lightweight texture provides hydration without making my skin feel suffocated, which is great! As someone who goes to the gym, I also care about packaging design. The design of this product is so well done it could easily pass for a department store brand! The price is a bit disappointing... I was hoping for a jar or tube packaging. I use a cooling product (Daiso Doc**racl) stored in the fridge. After applying this emulsion, I finish with that product to tighten my pores. It definitely makes my pores look cleaner! - hl****Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 14, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

After trying this for about a week, I must say, true to its gel emulsion nature, I loved how it moisturized and absorbed into my skin! The scent wasn't overpowering either, so I could use it without any concerns. I usually prefer lighter, fresher textures for my morning skincare routine, and this product's lightweight formula made me think it would be perfect to apply before makeup, especially in summer. Since I was used to using ampoules before, I couldn't help but feel it was slightly lacking in hydration for nighttime use. I think it would work better if applied twice or used during the summer months. - ro******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 13, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

My apologies! 1️⃣ Let's start with how it absorbs. Despite being an emulsion, it's neither too rich nor too light - just the perfect consistency. Lately, I've found moisturizers too light and other emulsions too heavy, but this one applies with a soft, velvety feel. 2️⃣ In terms of absorption, while you can still feel it on your skin, it doesn't leave you feeling dry and seems to sink in quickly. 3️⃣ The scent isn't artificial - perhaps peachy? I loved it from the first whiff. Even if it's not peach, it has a fruity floral aroma that I think everyone will enjoy, regardless of personal preference. 4️⃣ The product description mentions reducing facial redness. As someone with super sensitive skin, I can't say for certain if it reduced redness, but I can confirm it didn't cause any blemishes to appear after application. There are absolutely no downsides! I'm likely to keep purchasing and using this product in the future. When I feel like I might need extra hydration after applying, I think of it as layering and apply a second coat. This gives me a more moisturized feeling. - ch********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 13, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

It's also fragrance-free and generally a safe choice... But that's about all there is to it. Sigh~ I have a sensitivity to houttuynia cordata, so that might be why... After applying, it's unbearably itchy. I deliberately skipped all my usual skincare products and only used an exfoliating toner before this emulsion. This was the only change in my routine... This product isn't bad at all. Everything about it is fine and adequate, but due to that one ingredient - houttuynia cordata - it just doesn't work for me. If it was just itchy, I could have managed, but my facial skin developed small bumps all over, so I had to stop using it after just three days. I'm lucky I take allergy medication daily, otherwise it could have been worse. I don't have any tips, but if you're sensitive to houttuynia cordata like me, just skip this one. For those with dry skin, you might want to layer a bit of extra moisturizer. For other skin types, it should work fine across the board. - yo********Normal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 13, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

The formula feels very smooth and hydrating from the moment you apply it - a true gel emulsion type. ◇ Irritation: ★★★★★ The subtle fragrance is lovely, and there's absolutely zero irritation. ◇ Hydration: ★★★★★ It keeps my skin moisturized all day long. I don't experience any skin irritation or itching, and it seems to provide a good balance of oil and moisture. It would likely suit super sensitive skin well. I have combination skin with both normal and oily areas, and it didn't leave me feeling dry. ◇ Sensitivity: ★★★★★ It's just the right level of hydration! Very refreshing. ◇ Overall Review The packaging has a cute, pure concept that really comes through. I recently had laser treatment for a facial mole and have been using Innoan on the area to maintain hydration while it heals. I'm satisfied with how well it absorbs without irritation and its long-lasting moisture retention. As summer approaches, I think this will be an especially comfortable and effective base for spring and summer skincare routines. What I appreciated most was the ingredient list. The combination of ingredients is exactly what I was looking for, making this an emulsion I'm excited to continue using. This product is recommendable for those with redness, blemishes, or super sensitive skin. When I apply sunscreen or foundation after using Innoan, it tends to pill like dead skin cells. It seems the ingredients don't mix well, so I mainly use it at home. - su********Normal SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityApr 13, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

However, this product surprised me with its natural scent from the raw ingredients, giving me a refreshing change. While the fragrance might be hit or miss depending on personal preference (to me, it smells more like something you'd find in hair products!), I was impressed that it could achieve such a pleasant aroma without added fragrances. The hydration, absorption, and overall feel were all excellent. It applies smoothly and moisturizes well, leaving the skin surface neither greasy nor sticky. The long-lasting hydration felt fresh and comfortable. There was a slight warming sensation upon application, but it wasn't irritating. I think it might even provide a cooling effect in summer. I was particularly impressed by the thoughtful selection of natural ingredients, like Cape Aloe Leaf Extract and Ectoin. The fact that it's a certified product also gave me peace of mind while using it. The product has a peach-like scent, but I feel a herbal fragrance might suit it better. It could even work well unscented. While the product itself feels luxurious, the scent doesn't quite match up to that premium feel (perhaps due to the alcohol content, which makes the scent quite strong). Still, I suppose it's better than potentially harmful artificial fragrances. Despite the care taken in selecting good natural ingredients, there are some components like Polymethylsilsesquioxane and Vinyldimethicone that might not be ideal for pregnant women or babies. Although it's EWG Green rated, I might be overly sensitive, but personally, I believe ingredients are more important than texture for products meant for pregnant women or babies. I'd prefer a product with only essential ingredients, even if it doesn't apply as smoothly. I ended up not using it on my niece (the alcohol-like scent also made it feel less suitable for babies). While I'm satisfied using it as a general adult product, with a few minor improvements, it could become an excellent product for pregnant women and babies. Some cosmetics can separate when refrigerated, but this product's detailed information actually suggests refrigeration for an extra refreshing feel (recommended temperature 10-30°C)! It might be a great idea for summer use. I enjoyed the cute sticker that came with the product packaging - I stuck it on my emulsion bottle for a personalized touch. It's satisfying to repurpose something that would otherwise be discarded. Give it a try for a bit of fun! - mh********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 12, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I like that it's not overpowering. Texture - It's not a runny gel formula. It applies smoothly and absorbs quickly, leaving a plump but non-sticky finish. I'm very satisfied with this gel cream and expect to use it well into summer. Skin type - I have combination, sensitive, and dehydrated skin. I usually prefer lightweight products over heavy creams, mainly using ampoules, essences, and hydrating creams. This works great as a moisturizer. I have elementary school-aged children, and we all use it comfortably without feeling heavy. It's non-irritating, making it perfect for sharing with the kids. Even my son with atopic dermatitis keeps applying it to his itchy spots. Great for hydration! Nothing particularly negative to mention. Since the kids use it often, I'm inclined to repurchase. It seems ideal for applying before makeup in spring. Let it absorb, then apply makeup for better adherence. For those with dry skin, you might want to layer a cream on top in the evening. Highly recommended for sharing with children. - yo*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 12, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

It seems great for summer use, and those with dry skin might want to layer a cream on top. When I applied it during a breakout, it had a mild soothing effect. The scent is a natural, not artificial fragrance. The texture is a bouncy, hydrating gel. For those with dry skin, it might not provide quite enough hydration. Given its skin-calming properties, it could be effective to apply when your skin feels hot or you're experiencing blemishes, then get a good night's sleep for best results. - se********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 12, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

This soothing gel-type product is a game-changer! It has a satisfyingly rich texture with great hydration, yet it absorbs well without feeling sticky or slippery. There's no pilling, which is fantastic. You can use this product both morning and evening, making it versatile for your skincare routine. What I love most is that it's vegan and eco-friendly! It's formulated with gentle ingredients that moisturize without irritation - so gentle that even babies could use it. That's a huge plus in my book. I'm also impressed by the packaging, which shows real consideration for the environment. It really resonates with my values! The only potential downside is that it might feel a bit thick when you're applying it.
