I usually prefer light, water-based formulas that simply provide hydration, but this one has a slightly thicker consistency compared to The Lab by Blanc Doux. It doesn't absorb immediately and feels a bit like it's sitting on the skin. I later discovered it contains various essential oils like rosemary, lavender, and basil...?..??? Sigh, why... As someone with sensitive, blemish-prone skin who avoids oils, I was using it well without knowing, like drinking from Wonhyo's skull. Now that I know, it feels oddly itchy, like my face might break out soon, and I'm uneasy like it's a ticking time bomb. I started using this product as the weather got warmer, so it's too early to judge. We'll have to see if the hydration and deep moisturizing are suitable for colder weather too. Don't we usually rely on serums and creams rather than expecting too much from toners? The texture is a matter of preference, and while I can't say it's functionally better than other products, it's a decent watery toner for those who like that type.
ConsI usually prefer light formulas for layering, but perhaps due to the oil content, this doesn't absorb quickly into the skin and sometimes causes pilling. The pilling makes layering difficult. It's fine to use lightly in this hot weather, but we'll have to see if it prevents deep dryness without layering in fall and winter. Instead, the formula seems suitable for use as a mask... But those sensitive to oils like me should be careful. I'm not sure about the oil content, but fearing potential blemishes on my skin, I'm avoiding prolonged contact and using it lightly as an exfoliating toner.

However, it's only slightly pricier or comparable to my previous functional toner when considering the volume. The standout feature isn't necessarily its price point. While I'm unsure about its effectiveness in reducing redness (photos 1 and 2 show the start of the test, 3 and 4 are after 3 days of use - no significant improvement), it definitely helped with my closed comedones. My previous toner pads seemed to cause frequent breakouts, but after starting this product, the size of my blemishes noticeably decreased. I even alternated between products every two days to confirm the effect. Personally, I love herbal and earthy scents, so I enjoyed the strong plant aroma. It smells like mashed mugwort - consider your scent preferences before purchasing. While I didn't notice any exceptional soothing effects, it didn't increase my existing blemishes, which I consider a major plus. Its biggest strength is that it doesn't cause any harm. The fresh scent and light feel make me eager to use it more during the heavy, humid summer days. I'm quite satisfied that it didn't increase my blemishes or irritate my skin.
ConsI started experiencing excessive dead skin buildup, which hadn't happened with other products. It wasn't noticeable for the first two days, but from the third day, I had significant pilling. Ironically, in trying to reduce irritation, I ended up increasing it. Following the product instructions, I used it as an exfoliating toner, which was a mistake. Afterwards, I switched to using it gently with a cotton pad, which helped reduce the issue. Having used toner pads previously, this wasn't a particularly pleasant experience. I didn't notice any improvement in redness. After starting use, for some reason, my skin became oilier. It could be due to the approaching summer, so I plan to continue using it a bit longer. The price... it's not exactly affordable. It might be worth buying if it's discounted to less than half price, but at full price or even the current official website discount (26,000), you'll likely feel it's not worth the money.
TipBe cautious with this exfoliating toner. I almost lost my temper using it as an exfoliating toner. The formula is very watery, making it cumbersome to apply and prone to dripping. The large product container even led to spills when trying to dispense it. It's not suitable as a mask. Leaving it on for too long seems to be counterproductive... It feels like your face is being coated with a thin film, which later starts to pill off like dead skin. While this coating effect might appeal to some, it was a negative point for me.
