First off, I have combination dehydrated skin. Especially in summer, my T-zone tends to get quite oily. I occasionally get a few blemishes, more often cystic acne rather than small bumps. I also have quite a bit of acne scarring. Redness: Since I don't typically have severe redness, I didn't notice any dramatic effects. However, I did feel that my skin became somewhat calmer and more settled. Volume: This product comes in a very generous size. It's such a large amount that even when you use a lot each time, it doesn't seem to diminish quickly. Texture: It has a very watery consistency. When applied to the face, it flows easily. Scent: While not artificial, it has a rather strong mugwort scent. Those sensitive to fragrances might want to be cautious.
ConsI didn't notice any remarkable improvements or extraordinary effects on my skin. It didn't make my skin worse, but it just felt average. The texture is so runny that it's inconvenient for face masking. I usually like to do face masks, but this one drips down my arms, so I've been using it more as a pat-on toner instead of a mask.

As someone with blemish-prone and combination dehydrated skin, my face easily turns red and becomes super sensitive with even the slightest irritation. However, this toner's cica and mugwort combination allowed for a gentle and clean application. The generous amount is fantastic - you can even use it as a toner mask when your skin feels irritated! Unlike other regular toners that didn't seem to soothe my skin, this one calms it down effectively. No blemishes appeared, and I think I'll be able to use it consistently as my daily toner.
ConsThere's really nothing bad to say, except maybe that the bottle cap is slightly large, making it a bit heavy.
TipI think using this with organic cotton pads would be great for application without causing any skin irritation.

Even with frequent use, it lasts a long time. 3. It gives a soothing sensation. 4. I feel like my skin texture has improved - my pores and uneven areas seem to have diminished a bit!
ConsI have blemish-prone, sensitive skin, and oddly enough, I started getting a lot of acne so I had to stop using it. I think it's best not to use it too frequently! While it didn't completely agree with my skin, I still found it pleasant overall. It gives a comfortable feeling on the face. Although I was happy to win it, I think those with very sensitive skin should use it in moderation.

When applied, there's a grassy scent - probably from the mugwort. Though it has a water-like consistency, it feels a bit like applying an essence. However, after it's fully absorbed, it doesn't leave the same rich finish as an essence would. While it's not exceptionally hydrating due to its light texture, it's perfectly suitable for summer use. Additionally, while it may not completely eliminate blemishes, it seems to have some soothing effects on the skin.
ConsAlthough it claims to reduce sebum production, I didn't particularly notice this effect.
TipSince it comes in a large quantity, I also mix it into my DIY mask recipes.

Recently, due to the summer heat, I've been dealing with blemishes and their marks, so I've been choosing products from soothing skincare lines. I was lucky enough to be selected as a Hwahae Tester and got to try this product! It's great for calming and reducing redness, and even helps decrease sebum production! I thought it would be perfect for my oily, breakout-prone skin. First of all, it's truly a massive size! It feels like it'll last forever even with frequent use. The 500ml bottle is a big plus - you can apply it generously morning and night and still have it last quite a while! The texture is a runny, water-like consistency. It has a slight brownish-green tint, probably from the mugwort extract. I used it after my exfoliating toner, letting it absorb and then layering it again. It seems to regulate oil production well, as my skin doesn't feel greasy after application. Yet it's not overly drying either - my skin feels refined after use. The phrase 'hydration from within' describes it perfectly! Despite being a water-based toner, it doesn't lack in moisture. The feel and hydration alone make this product quite satisfying.
ConsUnfortunately, it doesn't seem to agree with my skin as I'm getting small pimples after use. I'm currently using a high concentration niacinamide product as well, so I plan to stop using the ampoule and try just the toner for now to see if that helps.

I applied it multiple times a day for about a week, and I loved that it wasn't sticky and was gentle enough not to cause any skin issues. It has a slight herbal scent and is said to be good for redness, so I had high hopes. Whether it was the product or not, it definitely helped calm my skin! I'm really satisfied with how quickly it absorbs when layered, and you can visibly see blemishes subside when applied. This product worked hard for me and I'm extremely pleased with it.
ConsThe toner absorbs so quickly that I found it a bit drying when used alone. Due to its runny consistency, it's a little tricky to apply with just your hands. I think it might work better if you use it with a cotton pad for cleansing purposes!

The redness noticeably decreased, and there was no tingling sensation at all. I appreciated that the toner had a water-like consistency and wasn't overly fragrant. The generous amount of product was fantastic - even with daily mask routines morning and night, there was plenty to go around. This was definitely my favorite aspect!
ConsIf I had to nitpick, the cap and opening were different from my previous product. The twist-open design was a bit inconvenient for me. But really, I'm reaching to find something negative here.
TipUsing it as a spot treatment on problem areas quickly calmed the skin. Applying it while drying my hair made my sunscreen go on more smoothly afterwards.

My skin is super sensitive, so I had my sister try it first. She'd been out in the scorching sun, and her face was all red and sunburnt, but after using this for 2-3 days, it all calmed down. I thought, 'Wow, let me give it a shot!' Just to be safe, I did a toner pack on my forehead, nose, and chin first. And oh my, what's this? After just one day, my blemishes disappeared, and my forehead had this amazing glow! So I thought, 'I've got to try this all over my face,' and did a full toner pack. And wow... this is legendary! My face became smoother, blemishes vanished, and my complexion became brighter with a beautiful glow. Even my friend acknowledged it. The next day at school, she complimented me, saying, 'Your skin looks amazing! Is this your best skin ever?' I really want to repurchase this. If you have sensitive skin, need soothing, and haven't found a toner yet, just take a chance and buy this. Please, I'm begging you!
ConsThe only real downside is that it's seriously expensive. It made me think, 'Ah... that's a bit much.' Also, if you're sensitive to scents, you might find it a bit off-putting. It has a slightly herbal smell that's a bit strange. To be honest, I'm not a fan of the fragrance, so I hesitate a bit each time I use it, but the effects are so incredible that it makes up for everything else.
TipIf you have sensitive skin, need to calm redness, just use this. Keep it in the fridge, and when you use it, soak a cotton pad generously and leave it on your face for 5 minutes, then wipe off. Your blemishes and redness will disappear, and you'll get that inner glow. Just take a chance and try it for a week like this. I promise you'll see a whole new complexion born!

After extracting it, there was significant redness. ✓ Texture: It has a water-like consistency! Perfect for use as an exfoliating toner! ✓ Effects: I had high hopes since it combines cica, which is great for blemishes, with mugwort, known for its soothing properties! One thing's for sure - when I did a toner pack on my heated skin after extraction, it quickly cooled down my skin temperature and seemed to reduce redness! ✓ Scent: It has that characteristic cica scent! I usually prefer cool scents, but this one... how to describe it... it's cool, but if you keep smelling it, it becomes a bit dizzying. I wasn't a fan of it. ✓ Purchase intention: When I first saw it, I was amazed by the size - it's as big as my forearm! The bottle is huge, so you get a monster amount! I usually couldn't do toner packs often because I'd run out too quickly, but with this one, I could do them without worry. The large volume is a huge plus! However, the regular price of 38,000 won is a bit steep... If it were in the early 20,000 won range, I think it would be more reasonable.
Cons✗ When I did a toner pack for about 15 minutes, I noticed that on thinner areas of skin (around the mouth), the tingling sensation lasted for a really long time. I did the toner pack with a friend, and they experienced the same tingling feeling. After that, I had no issues when doing shorter toner packs or using it as a daily toner. There was also a tingling sensation if it got into my eyes or mouth, so I'd recommend avoiding the eye and mouth areas when doing a toner pack.
TipAs the weather has gotten hotter lately, it feels so cool and nice to lower your skin temperature by applying multiple layers or doing a toner pack!

First off, I was reassured by the fact that this product is certified suitable for acne-prone skin. When it comes to skincare, I prefer products that feel more hydrating than oily on the skin. The ingredients themselves are a blend of the famous soothing cica and mugwort, which are known to be highly effective for skin calming. 1. Product size The size is impressively large at first glance. Although it's labeled as 500ml, it looks more like 800ml, which is perfect for those who love toner masking and often run out quickly. 2. Texture The texture is watery and light, making it easy to apply without feeling heavy. It's also ideal for toner masking. 3. Hydration With acne-prone skin, some toners can feel suffocating, but this product doesn't feel heavy at all. It offers a level of hydration that shouldn't be divisive for those with similar skin types to mine. When doing a toner mask, some products dry out quickly, but the Cica Mugwort Repair Toner maintains its moisture for over 20 minutes. This means your skin won't dry out even if you leave the mask on for an extended period. It's great for both regular application and toner masking! 4. Complexion improvement Due to my acne-prone skin, I tend to have some redness from scarring. There's a noticeable difference in clarity before and after toner masking. You can feel the redness calming down and the skin texture becoming more refined. The effects are particularly noticeable when used as a toner mask.
Cons1. Tingling sensation around the lips When gently patting it on the skin or using a pad, I didn't feel any irritation at all. It even felt gentle on the lips. However, when doing a toner mask, I noticed a slight stinging sensation where it touched my lips, which made me wonder if the product might be a bit irritating. 2. Product scent It might be the scent of cica and mugwort, but there is a slight fragrance that could be divisive for some users.
TipI've definitely found that using it as a toner mask is highly effective for calming my skin. If you soak a cotton pad generously and leave it on your skin for 20 minutes, you'll notice a significant reduction in redness.
