Cleansing oil, on the other hand, had strong cleansing power but was incredibly messy, dripping down my arms every time I used it. We all have those moments when removing makeup feels like the most tedious task in the world, right? But this product has made the process so much easier and quicker, effortlessly removing even mascara without any hassle. After using it consistently for 10 days, here's my review: First off, the container has a convenient one-touch opening, and it comes with a spatula inside, which is great for hygienic use without the risk of losing it. Even during summer when my skin tends to be more sensitive, I could remove my makeup without much irritation. It also helps manage excess sebum daily, significantly reducing the need for separate pore care. As someone with acne-prone skin, I was worried, but those concerns were unfounded - not only did it not cause blemishes, it actually helped soothe my skin! I typically wear heavy makeup, but this product removes it thoroughly, leaving my skin feeling fresh and smooth without any deep dryness. For those concerned about eye irritation from removing stubborn mascara, I didn't experience any stinging in my eyes while using this! I think it's safe to use without worry.
ConsIt's unfortunate that it's not available at Olive Young, making it less accessible. I saw some reviews mentioning that the flat spatula was inconvenient, but I actually found it helpful for easily putting excess product back into the container!
TipApply an appropriate amount to your skin, gently massage until it melts, then add a bit of water to emulsify. This process effectively removes even mascara!

What sets it apart from other cleansing balms is its more powdery texture. When it comes to cleansing effectiveness, it removes base makeup and eyeshadow well, but struggles with mascara. That's not a big issue though, as I usually use a dedicated remover for mascara anyway. So, I can just remove the mascara separately and use this cleansing balm for the rest of my makeup. I appreciate that it's almost fragrance-free. Also, after emulsifying and rinsing with water, it doesn't leave much residue on the skin, which is great.
ConsThe only downside is that the spatula doesn't stay in place well and keeps falling into the product. Other than that, no complaints!

I was worried it might be stiff, but as soon as it touches your skin, it transforms into an oil-like texture, allowing for a smooth, gentle massage. The gentle ingredients didn't cause any eye irritation, and it removed makeup effectively! The moisturizing finish makes it perfect for fall and winter use.
ConsThere's a spatula between the lids, which can be a bit cumbersome to open and take out. If it melts even slightly, it gets messy when you try to put the spatula back and close the lid. For someone like me who prefers a squeaky-clean finish, I still needed to follow up with a foam cleanser.
TipSince it transforms immediately upon contact with skin, I used the spatula to scoop it out and place it directly on my face. Then I closed the lid before massaging it in with the warmth of my hands. This method prevented the balm from sticking to the lid, which was great!

There was absolutely no stinging or discomfort. Other products I've used before, whether oil or balm, randomly irritated my eyes. When emulsifying with water, if you don't use too much, it becomes delightfully thick. It seems to drip down my face less, too. I've been using it two or three times a week, and apart from the small quantity, I'm extremely satisfied with how well it cleanses.
ConsThe texture is buttery soft, which neat people might appreciate, but for an impatient person like me, using a spatula to scoop it out was a bit inconvenient. It's awkward to use directly with your hands.

The lid design is perfect for when your hands are wet or slippery, making it super convenient to open. The sky-blue package and cleansing balm look stunning in a white bathroom! I used the spatula to scoop out a decent amount and rolled it over my face. It effectively melted away all types of makeup and facial oils. What I loved most was that after rinsing, it left my skin feeling adequately moisturized without any greasy residue.
ConsWhile the product performance is flawless, I found it a bit disappointing that the spatula just rests on top of the inner lid. There's no way to secure it, so you'll need to be careful not to misplace it.
TipThis is perfect for a first cleanse when you want to dissolve facial oils! While using this product, I noticed it effectively melted away blackheads and excess sebum, and even removed mascara with ease.

It felt like I needed to press and spread it when applying to my face. However, when cleansing, it spread smoothly, and I appreciated its nearly fragrance-free, mild scent. The cleansing effectiveness is impressive - it removes most of my makeup in one go, even without using a separate lip and eye remover. It's a one-step solution!
ConsThe only slight drawback is the initial firmness when spreading it. Also, having to clean the spatula every time can be a bit of a hassle.
TipWhen you massage it, it feels like it's melting away oil and sebum. After cleansing, my skin felt gentle and smooth without any irritation.

On the first day of using this cleansing balm, I scooped it out with a spatula. It spread easily and smoothly on my face. I massaged it onto my dry skin for about 20 seconds, then added water to emulsify it and continued massaging for another 30 seconds. I rinsed it off thoroughly with water, at least 20 splashes. I didn't follow up with a second cleanse - the cleansing balm was enough on its own. With my previous cleansing balm, my skin would feel tight immediately after use, requiring me to apply toner right away. But with this one, I was amazed that I didn't feel any dryness even while brushing my teeth and doing other things! Also, many products sting my eyes during the emulsification process, but this one was comfortable and didn't irritate my eyes at all! So I started using just this product every evening, only following up with the 5.5 pH cleansing foam on days when I wore heavy eye makeup. Honestly, sunscreen doesn't come off completely with just a cleansing foam, so having to do a double cleanse every night was quite bothersome. With this balm, everything comes off in one go, which saves me time and makes the cleansing process much more enjoyable. I used to think cleansing balms were only for people who wear a lot of makeup, but this product has completely changed my mind. I've never used a balm that left my skin feeling so hydrated before. I'll definitely repurchase this when I run out!
ConsWhile using a spatula to scoop out the product might be seen as a downside, this is common for all balms. Since it's used before wetting your hands or face, I didn't find it particularly inconvenient.
TipAt first, I thought I might have used too much product, but the extra amount actually made for a nice, smooth massage. I'm concerned that if you try to be too economical and use too little, the rolling might become stiff and cause friction on the skin.

When it comes to effective cleansing, there's hardly anything better than cleansing oils, but I find oil types can feel heavy and leave an uncomfortable residue in my eyes. When I absolutely need to remove makeup thoroughly, I end up double or triple cleansing, which isn't great for my skin barrier. This balm type is truly the best for cleansing - I love it! It doesn't drip, melts gently, and removes all makeup completely. One application is more than enough!
ConsIt would be nice if the container had an attached opening part and spatula. The fact that it only has two main ingredients is a bit disappointing.
TipFor blackheads and whiteheads, let the product soften the area, then gently massage. The dead skin cells will come right off!

It's packed with hydration and has a rich texture, but it's not sticky at all. Instead, it feels smooth and refreshing. What's more, its cleansing effectiveness is top-notch. It rinses off easily, making it a truly recommended item!
ConsThe only minor inconvenience is having to use a spatula to scoop it out.

I've tried various products like cleansing oils and waters, but I find cleansing balms that don't drip to be the most convenient and easy to use. I recommend melting it with the heat of your hands and massaging it onto your skin for cleansing. It easily removes Kiss Me eyeliner, mascara, and other makeup without drying or leaving an oily residue. You'll experience excellent cleansing effectiveness, a fresh feeling, and a soft, clean finish all at once!
ConsThere's not really anything to complain about, but the amount might be a bit on the small side? Since it's in balm form, I sometimes use a spatula to scoop it out. When using a spatula, it feels like it might run out quickly.
