Cleansing effectiveness: It removes point makeup like mascara and tint in one go, leaving skin clean. Hydration: The cleansing experience is excellent, and despite its powerful cleansing ability, it leaves skin incredibly moisturized.
ConsIt's hard to find any downsides - this is truly a holy grail cleansing balm.

Advantages - Removes makeup quickly with just a small amount - Easily rinses off with water (quick water cleanse possible in a rush, though not recommended) - Doesn't sting if it gets in your eyes - Non-irritating - Hygienic with an inner lid for the spoon
Cons2. Drawbacks - Minimal emulsification (doesn't soften sebum well) - Can feel drying after water cleanse for combination dehydrated skin (late 20s) - May clog pores (slightly more blemishes compared to not using it / resolved with double cleansing) - Requires a bit of rubbing for mascara removal
Tip3. Usage: For makeup removal / Not effective for sebum softening 4. Characteristics 1) Scent: Fragrance-free 2) Texture/Application: - Sherbet-like - Melts quickly with body heat (compared to other balms) - Unlike other balms that remain slightly thick when melted, this product liquefies like a true cleansing oil - Cleansing effectiveness: Removes makeup very quickly and effectively (compared to other balms) - Emulsification: Poor (almost non-existent) - Water rinse: Effective (leaves skin feeling slightly squeaky clean) - Post-use feeling without additional products: Slightly dry for combination dehydrated skin 5. Personal opinion This product seems to focus on its primary function as a cleanser. Its effectiveness in quickly removing even long-wearing makeup proves its quality. I've tried various cleansing products, and I currently use April Skin's balm, but I appreciated how much faster this one cleansed. However, mascara required a bit more effort to remove, (I don't use separate lip and eye makeup remover) and I'm unsure if it would effectively remove notoriously stubborn products like Kiss Me mascara. The downsides are its inability to soften sebum and the occurrence of blemishes without double cleansing. Emulsification doesn't help much either. Given that it's not particularly generous in quantity for its price, I can't strongly recommend it, but its cleansing speed is unmatched among products I've tried so far. I'd recommend this to those who wear heavy makeup and use lip and eye makeup remover, or anyone looking for a fast-acting cleansing balm. ===== Personal Information ===== < Skin Type > - Combination dehydrated, sensitive - Skin isn't very thin, but on the thinner side - Prone to blackheads/whiteheads and blemishes - Pores widening with age, fine lines developing < Basic Skincare Routine > 1. Daily: Toner - Serum - Moisturizer - Makeup or Sun protection 2. Hydration: Sheet mask (when dry - currently recommending Aceno) 3. Soothing: Fusidic acid application after evening cleanse 4. Cleansers: Dr.G pH Cleansing Gel Foam (gentle, soothing, for daily use) / Medicube Red Foam Cleanser (less irritating, helps with sebum) / Plant Nation Cleansing Tissue (oil-free) / April Skin Carrotene Cleansing Balm 6. Occasional Care - Night care: COSRX 0.5 Retinol Oil (caution with exfoliation/sebum softening, sun exposure) - Sheet masks: Torriden Dive-In, Aceno (good for hydration/soothing/brightening) - 99% Aloe Soothing Gel: Used with DIY sheet masks for skin soothing, hydration, and night care (Note: I feel slight aloe sensitivity, causing itching after 10 minutes. Sensitive individuals should be cautious.) 7. Exfoliation (Potentially irritating) - Dr.G Brightening Peeling Gel (exfoliation, stinging) - Medicube Succinic Acid Peeling Serum (exfoliation/sebum softening, high concentration AHA, tingling + very stinging) >> These products are not used in conjunction with retinol oil (minimum 3-day gap)

It removes makeup really well! The color is also super pretty! I'd definitely consider repurchasing it.
ConsI didn't notice my skin improving, but it did a good job of removing makeup, so at least it didn't cause any more blemishes.
TipMake sure to massage it in for at least 1 minute!!! If you do that, it removes makeup completely.

It removes makeup effectively, even eye makeup without needing a separate remover. What's most impressive is that there's absolutely no eye irritation. It's fine to use with contact lenses, and even though I always apply eyeliner on my waterline, it doesn't sting when I remove it with my eyes open. This was the best feature for me. After cleansing, my skin texture really improves. I intentionally didn't apply anything after washing, and my skin didn't feel dry. It's great that it also helps with pore care. Of course, pore improvements take time, but since it's good for texture care, I think continued use will show results. Being a balm type, it seems ideal for combination and dry skin. It also dissolves sebum well and cares for pores, so it might be suitable for oily skin too, as long as it's not severe acne-prone skin.
ConsOverall, during the process of rolling and emulsifying with water, I felt it kept clumping if done repeatedly. So it's better to cleanse right away without over-emulsifying. Also, I found that a more thorough cleanse yielded better results. I noticed it seemed to rinse off more effectively with water that's a bit warmer than lukewarm.
TipIt's good to use a sponge to wipe off the product after emulsifying a few times, then proceed with cleansing.

It's great that I can easily remove eye makeup with the Hyaluronic Acid Balm, eliminating the need for a separate second cleanse. Texture: It melts quickly with body heat, making it really pleasant to use! Unlike some stiff formulas that are hard to use without water, this one glides on smoothly. I first cleanse with just the balm, then add water for a second cleanse, and it effectively removes even heavy makeup. The scent is mild and inoffensive, so I'm enjoying using it!
ConsThe included spoon makes it a bit tricky to close the lid properly, but I'm still using it happily!
TipUsing it two or three times a week can help manage blackheads.

I was worried it might be stiff, but as soon as it touches your skin, it transforms into an oil-like texture, allowing for a smooth, gentle massage. The gentle ingredients didn't cause any eye irritation, and it removed makeup effectively! The moisturizing finish makes it perfect for fall and winter use.
ConsThere's a spatula between the lids, which can be a bit cumbersome to open and take out. If it melts even slightly, it gets messy when you try to put the spatula back and close the lid. For someone like me who prefers a squeaky-clean finish, I still needed to follow up with a foam cleanser.
TipSince it transforms immediately upon contact with skin, I used the spatula to scoop it out and place it directly on my face. Then I closed the lid before massaging it in with the warmth of my hands. This method prevented the balm from sticking to the lid, which was great!

I have to say, I liked it even more than cleansing oils! Unlike oils that can make your face feel greasy, this balm melts gently with your body heat. Even if you have oily skin, it doesn't leave an excessive oily feeling. It removed makeup effectively and gently, which was fantastic. During the emulsification process, I could feel it cleansing my pores and removing sebum thoroughly. After rinsing, my skin didn't feel tight at all, so I think it would work well for combination dehydrated skin, oily, dry, or combination skin types without any issues!
ConsThe only downside was that during the emulsification process, it didn't glide as smoothly as I'd hoped when water was added. It felt a bit stiff, requiring me to add water several times, which was slightly inconvenient.
TipFor an even more thorough cleanse, you can follow up with a gentle, low pH cleansing foam after using this balm, just like you would with a cleansing oil!

Even the most stubborn makeup disappears in an instant. There's absolutely no eye irritation. Usually, when using oils or balms, the emulsification process can make your eyes cloudy and stinging, but there's none of that here. It's also great for managing blackheads and sebum!
ConsDownsides...? There really aren't any... Are there...? Using a spatula to scoop it out is common for all cleansing balms, so I don't find it particularly inconvenient.
TipOne scoop with the included spatula seems to be just the right amount. I just keep the spatula in the tub like this, making sure the handle doesn't touch the product.

Even a small amount is effective. Usage order - Applied on bare face in the morning: Not irritating. After makeup: Removed makeup well without causing tightness. Review - No eye irritation or stinging, which indicates it's a gentle product. I have some areas with blackheads and enlarged pores, and it felt like it was removing impurities. It doesn't completely whiten blackheads, though. Personally, I find it slightly less effective than oil cleansers. Long-term use might yield better results. However, it removes makeup well, and most importantly, leaves no dryness or tightness after use. The fact that it doesn't irritate the eyes is a huge plus.
ConsWhile I appreciated the included spoon for scooping out the product, I wondered if it could be attached to the bottom of the container instead of being placed on top of the inner lid after use. The price is a bit on the high side, which is unfortunate.

Its makeup cleansing effectiveness is on par with cleansing oils, removing makeup exceptionally well. At first, I thought the amount was too small, but since you don't need much per use, the size seems just right. The overall experience was very pleasant.
ConsAfter use, my skin became red all over, and despite doing a deep cleanse at night, I could feel sebum resurfacing the next day. The finish feels more slippery than cleansing oils, making it hard to tell if it emulsified properly or if there's any residue left on the skin.
