It dissolves well in your hands and seems to have excellent cleansing effectiveness. I'm very satisfied. I don't think there's anything particularly disappointing. If I had to nitpick, the small size might be considered a drawback. - sd****Dehydrated SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJan 13, 2025
My skin type isn't oily, probably not dry either, but I suspect it's combination dehydrated skin. I switched from using oil to this cleansing balm, and it's been a game-changer! I've tried other balm formulas, but this one removes makeup the best and feels the lightest. No exaggeration, you can literally see the makeup melting away as soon as you apply it. As someone who doesn't enjoy long cleansing routines, this helps me finish washing up quickly. I used to buy whatever cheap skincare products, foam cleansers, oils, or balms I could find, but this is definitely a product I'll keep using from now on! As someone always looking for the best value for money, I felt it was a bit pricey. So I bought it from Hwahae during their biggest discount event! Got it for 12,900 won. - na****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 20, 2024
• No eye irritation or burning sensation • Perfect texture - not too soft, not too firm • Pleasant, inoffensive fragrance • Didn't notice any significant effects • If I had to nitpick: The amount might feel a bit small - ym*******Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 7, 2024Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Cleansing effectiveness: It removes point makeup like mascara and tint in one go, leaving skin clean. Hydration: The cleansing experience is excellent, and despite its powerful cleansing ability, it leaves skin incredibly moisturized. It's hard to find any downsides - this is truly a holy grail cleansing balm. - le********Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedSep 20, 2024Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Contains shea butter, making it moisturizing but slightly slippery. A cleansing balm well-suited for dry skin types. Emulsifies well, which is great as it doesn't cause blemishes, but in terms of overall feel, I prefer the Banila Co cleansing balm. Not recommended for oily skin. If you dislike a rich and slippery texture, I'd suggest trying a different product. - mi*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedSep 18, 2024Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Advantages - Removes makeup quickly with just a small amount - Easily rinses off with water (quick water cleanse possible in a rush, though not recommended) - Doesn't sting if it gets in your eyes - Non-irritating - Hygienic with an inner lid for the spoon 2. Drawbacks - Minimal emulsification (doesn't soften sebum well) - Can feel drying after water cleanse for combination dehydrated skin (late 20s) - May clog pores (slightly more blemishes compared to not using it / resolved with double cleansing) - Requires a bit of rubbing for mascara removal 3. Usage: For makeup removal / Not effective for sebum softening 4. Characteristics 1) Scent: Fragrance-free 2) Texture/Application: - Sherbet-like - Melts quickly with body heat (compared to other balms) - Unlike other balms that remain slightly thick when melted, this product liquefies like a true cleansing oil - Cleansing effectiveness: Removes makeup very quickly and effectively (compared to other balms) - Emulsification: Poor (almost non-existent) - Water rinse: Effective (leaves skin feeling slightly squeaky clean) - Post-use feeling without additional products: Slightly dry for combination dehydrated skin 5. Personal opinion This product seems to focus on its primary function as a cleanser. Its effectiveness in quickly removing even long-wearing makeup proves its quality. I've tried various cleansing products, and I currently use April Skin's balm, but I appreciated how much faster this one cleansed. However, mascara required a bit more effort to remove, (I don't use separate lip and eye makeup remover) and I'm unsure if it would effectively remove notoriously stubborn products like Kiss Me mascara. The downsides are its inability to soften sebum and the occurrence of blemishes without double cleansing. Emulsification doesn't help much either. Given that it's not particularly generous in quantity for its price, I can't strongly recommend it, but its cleansing speed is unmatched among products I've tried so far. I'd recommend this to those who wear heavy makeup and use lip and eye makeup remover, or anyone looking for a fast-acting cleansing balm. ===== Personal Information ===== < Skin Type > - Combination dehydrated, sensitive - Skin isn't very thin, but on the thinner side - Prone to blackheads/whiteheads and blemishes - Pores widening with age, fine lines developing < Basic Skincare Routine > 1. It removes makeup really well! The color is also super pretty! I'd definitely consider repurchasing it. I didn't notice my skin improving, but it did a good job of removing makeup, so at least it didn't cause any more blemishes. Make sure to massage it in for at least 1 minute!!! If you do that, it removes makeup completely. - wo*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 12, 2024Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

When applied to the skin, it melts gently with body heat without causing irritation. ✔️ Cleansing effectiveness: Effectively removes base makeup, color cosmetics, and even waterproof eyeliner and mascara. However, double cleansing is a must! There's a slight residual feeling As you massage, it helps draw out sebum, which is great for pore care Whiteheads and blackheads gradually fade and disappear completely No major drawbacks, except perhaps the price being a bit high for the amount you get? - cl******Dry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 12, 2024Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Even though I don't do heavy makeup, I still use sunscreen, a pore-blurring brightening moisturizer to cover my pores, and some powder to control my oily skin. I used to find removing makeup a hassle, so I'd just use wipes and mainly cleanse with a foam cleanser. 1. Texture (5/5): The jar packaging with a spatula is a bit inconvenient, but once you get past that, you can cover your whole face with a small amount. Unlike traditional oils that would drip down to my forearms unpleasantly, this one spreads smoothly on the face without running when you massage it in. When you emulsify it with water later, it's not unpleasant at all! 2. Hydration (5/5): My skin feels less dry after use! And that's even though I still follow up with a foam cleanser! It's not that it leaves an unpleasant residue - it's just that my skin feels fresh but less tight and dry. 3. Cleansing effectiveness (5/5): It removes makeup well. I've even tried it with full glam makeup, and it takes everything off without any fuss! 1. Blackhead removal: Maybe it's because I have super large pores, but I didn't notice anything special in terms of blackhead or whitehead removal. 2. Regular price: While I got to try this as part of The Hwahae Testers, if I were considering buying it at full price without a sale, I'd have to think twice about it. - li*********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 12, 2024Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I was using another brand's balm cleanser before, but their spatula was so long I had to store it separately. This spoon fits right in the lid, so there's no worry about losing it. I prefer balm cleansers since cleansing oils aren't great for acne-prone skin. The feeling of applying it to my face, rolling it around, and watching it melt away my makeup is just fantastic. It removes everything in one go - lip color, eye makeup, and base makeup - which is perfect for a lazy girl like me. I have combination dehydrated skin with large pores that tend to trap makeup. Strong cleansers often leave my skin feeling tight and dry, but this one is incredibly moisturizing. There's absolutely no dryness after rinsing. It's especially useful during seasonal changes and winter months. Probably due to the shea butter, it feels a bit slippery when rinsing off. On the plus side, it's very moisturizing, leaving my skin feeling hydrated even after cleansing. For perfect cleansing, start rolling it onto dry skin. Once it starts to melt a bit, add a drop or two of water to emulsify and continue massaging. Finish up with your favorite foaming cleanser for that double cleanse routine!
