Advantages - Removes makeup quickly with just a small amount - Easily rinses off with water (quick water cleanse possible in a rush, though not recommended) - Doesn't sting if it gets in your eyes - Non-irritating - Hygienic with an inner lid for the spoon
Cons2. Drawbacks - Minimal emulsification (doesn't soften sebum well) - Can feel drying after water cleanse for combination dehydrated skin (late 20s) - May clog pores (slightly more blemishes compared to not using it / resolved with double cleansing) - Requires a bit of rubbing for mascara removal
Tip3. Usage: For makeup removal / Not effective for sebum softening 4. Characteristics 1) Scent: Fragrance-free 2) Texture/Application: - Sherbet-like - Melts quickly with body heat (compared to other balms) - Unlike other balms that remain slightly thick when melted, this product liquefies like a true cleansing oil - Cleansing effectiveness: Removes makeup very quickly and effectively (compared to other balms) - Emulsification: Poor (almost non-existent) - Water rinse: Effective (leaves skin feeling slightly squeaky clean) - Post-use feeling without additional products: Slightly dry for combination dehydrated skin 5. Personal opinion This product seems to focus on its primary function as a cleanser. Its effectiveness in quickly removing even long-wearing makeup proves its quality. I've tried various cleansing products, and I currently use April Skin's balm, but I appreciated how much faster this one cleansed. However, mascara required a bit more effort to remove, (I don't use separate lip and eye makeup remover) and I'm unsure if it would effectively remove notoriously stubborn products like Kiss Me mascara. The downsides are its inability to soften sebum and the occurrence of blemishes without double cleansing. Emulsification doesn't help much either. Given that it's not particularly generous in quantity for its price, I can't strongly recommend it, but its cleansing speed is unmatched among products I've tried so far. I'd recommend this to those who wear heavy makeup and use lip and eye makeup remover, or anyone looking for a fast-acting cleansing balm. ===== Personal Information ===== < Skin Type > - Combination dehydrated, sensitive - Skin isn't very thin, but on the thinner side - Prone to blackheads/whiteheads and blemishes - Pores widening with age, fine lines developing < Basic Skincare Routine > 1. Cleansers: Dr.G pH Cleansing Gel Foam (gentle, soothing, for daily use) / Medicube Red Foam Cleanser (less irritating, helps with sebum) / Plant Nation Cleansing Tissue (oil-free) / April Skin Carrotene Cleansing Balm 6. Occasional Care - Night care: COSRX 0.5 Retinol Oil (caution with exfoliation/sebum softening, sun exposure) - Sheet masks: Torriden Dive-In, Aceno (good for hydration/soothing/brightening) - 99% Aloe Soothing Gel: Used with DIY sheet masks for skin soothing, hydration, and night care (Note: I feel slight aloe sensitivity, causing itching after 10 minutes. Sensitive individuals should be cautious.) 7. Exfoliation (Potentially irritating) - Dr.G Brightening Peeling Gel (exfoliation, stinging) - Medicube Succinic Acid Peeling Serum (exfoliation/sebum softening, high concentration AHA, tingling + very stinging) >> These products are not used in conjunction with retinol oil (minimum 3-day gap)

The packaging is sleek and clean-looking, as shown in the images. It's designed with hygiene and convenience in mind, featuring a separate cap and spoon. The texture melts easily with body heat and spreads well, while also providing hydration! As someone not used to cleansing balms, I found it much gentler and more suitable for my dry skin compared to regular lip and eye makeup removers when applied before cleansing.
ConsThe price feels a bit high for the amount you get, and the texture is somewhat firm for a cleansing balm. It's important to melt it well in your hands and massage it in thoroughly. Personally, I found that using a cleansing foam for a second cleanse was necessary to finish with a fresh feeling.
TipSince it's a cleansing product, I recommend emulsifying it for a more thorough cleanse! Start by melting the cleansing balm with your body heat and massaging it to break down makeup. Then, gradually add water while continuing to massage. This helps dissolve the cosmetics effectively, resulting in a clean and thorough cleanse.

Usually, I use a liquid-type cleansing oil once or twice a week, not the balm type. This was my first time trying a balm cleanser, and I was amazed at how it melts smoothly when you rub it between your hands! The included spoon makes it easy to use hygienically. As we know, oil is best removed with oil. This product does a great job of dissolving the sebum and excess oil stuck in my pores during summer, resulting in an effective cleanse! The cleansing effect was impressive - after warming the product between my palms and massaging it onto my face, I could feel the sebum dissolving under my fingers.
ConsUnfortunately, I could feel some residue after use. As someone with super oily skin, this lingering slippery feeling was quite bothersome. With other products, one round of cleansing foam is usually enough to remove any residue, but with this one, I had to use cleansing foam twice, which was inconvenient. The ingredients also concerned me a bit. It contains two cautionary ingredients and one that could potentially cause blemishes for oily skin. As someone who pays close attention to ingredients, this worried me slightly.
TipThis product might work well for those with dry skin!

This one doesn't drip, making cleansing noticeably easier. It's also great for travel - I just scoop some into a smaller container, and cleansing becomes a breeze. What I really love about this product is that the lid is attached to the main container. Unlike typical cleansing balms, you don't need to unscrew or keep track of a separate lid, which is incredibly convenient. They even provide a space to store the spatula, making it more hygienic too.
ConsWhile the texture is gentle, it's a bit disappointing that it contains two potentially irritating ingredients. It would be better if the formula was even milder so that those with super sensitive skin could use it comfortably. Also, considering the amount you get, the price seems a bit steep.
TipAfter gently massaging it in, make sure to emulsify the product for a smooth cleansing experience.

I tried removing stubborn mascara with the Bellflower cleansing balm, and wow, its cleansing effectiveness was impressive! I loved that I could do my first cleanse with just this product, without needing a separate eye makeup remover. It comes with a spoon for scooping out the product, which is great for hygiene. The fragrance is truly unscented, so I think anyone could use it without issue.
ConsAs someone with dry skin, I didn't experience any discomfort using it. However, those with oily skin might find it a bit rich.

I applied it to my bare face like a cleansing oil and emulsified it, and I loved how it washed off without leaving any residue. I also appreciate the separate spoon compartment, which allows for hygienic use.
ConsIt's disappointing that it contains ingredients that may trigger blemishes. Those with acne-prone skin might need to be extra diligent with double cleansing.

But why does my product have two spoons?! One in the lid and another in the plastic part when you open it. Anyway, having two makes it even more hygienic to use. Exfoliation: I used it like a cleansing oil, massaging it onto dry skin, then adding a bit of water to emulsify. I could feel little bits (dead skin cells?) rolling off. Even peeling gels didn't remove these! I'm not 100% sure if it's all dead skin, so I'll use it a few more times to confirm. If it is, then the exfoliating effect is excellent. My skin feels so soft after cleansing, which makes me happy! Fragrance-free: It has a beautiful sky blue color (no artificial coloring) but is nearly fragrance-free. Highly recommended for those who are picky about scents!
ConsNothing particularly bad! The exfoliation seems effective, it cleanses well, and leaves my skin feeling soft. My skin texture feels cleaner after washing. Maybe it's just me, but I've only used cleansing oils until now, and this makes me want to keep using it! The only thing is, it would be great if they could lower the price a bit.

I love that it's fragrance-free and comes with a handy spoon for easy application. The lid has an extra seal in the middle, ensuring hygienic use. As someone who doesn't wear heavy makeup, I found it removes my everyday look effortlessly without any irritation. It's a great first-step cleanser that doesn't run like oil, making the massage process a real pleasure.
ConsWhile there's not much to criticize, if I had to mention one thing, it would be that you absolutely need to follow up with a foam cleanser. However, for those who typically do a double cleanse anyway, this won't be an issue at all.
TipApply the balm and massage it thoroughly with your hands. The makeup dissolves smoothly and effectively. I recommend using your hands rather than any tools for the best results!

It might be my imagination, but my pores seem less noticeable too
Cons- The nature of cleansing balms means the process of opening the lid, removing the inner seal, and using a spatula is more complex compared to cleansing oils - While it's likely a cost issue, a one-touch inner lid would make it much more convenient
Tip- The cleanser lacks moisture, so it may fall off if applied directly to the face For easier use, scoop out 2-3 spatula amounts onto your hand, slightly melt it, then gently roll it onto your face

I love the pleasant feel and how my skin feels squeaky clean after use. The included spatula is a nice touch, allowing for more hygienic application.
ConsThe only downside is the small amount - it runs out quickly. I wish they offered a larger size.
