Cons• Didn't notice any significant effects • If I had to nitpick: The amount might feel a bit small

Advantages - Removes makeup quickly with just a small amount - Easily rinses off with water (quick water cleanse possible in a rush, though not recommended) - Doesn't sting if it gets in your eyes - Non-irritating - Hygienic with an inner lid for the spoon
Cons2. Drawbacks - Minimal emulsification (doesn't soften sebum well) - Can feel drying after water cleanse for combination dehydrated skin (late 20s) - May clog pores (slightly more blemishes compared to not using it / resolved with double cleansing) - Requires a bit of rubbing for mascara removal
Tip3. Usage: For makeup removal / Not effective for sebum softening 4. Characteristics 1) Scent: Fragrance-free 2) Texture/Application: - Sherbet-like - Melts quickly with body heat (compared to other balms) - Unlike other balms that remain slightly thick when melted, this product liquefies like a true cleansing oil - Cleansing effectiveness: Removes makeup very quickly and effectively (compared to other balms) - Emulsification: Poor (almost non-existent) - Water rinse: Effective (leaves skin feeling slightly squeaky clean) - Post-use feeling without additional products: Slightly dry for combination dehydrated skin 5. Personal opinion This product seems to focus on its primary function as a cleanser. Its effectiveness in quickly removing even long-wearing makeup proves its quality. I've tried various cleansing products, and I currently use April Skin's balm, but I appreciated how much faster this one cleansed. However, mascara required a bit more effort to remove, (I don't use separate lip and eye makeup remover) and I'm unsure if it would effectively remove notoriously stubborn products like Kiss Me mascara. The downsides are its inability to soften sebum and the occurrence of blemishes without double cleansing. Emulsification doesn't help much either. Given that it's not particularly generous in quantity for its price, I can't strongly recommend it, but its cleansing speed is unmatched among products I've tried so far. I'd recommend this to those who wear heavy makeup and use lip and eye makeup remover, or anyone looking for a fast-acting cleansing balm. ===== Personal Information ===== < Skin Type > - Combination dehydrated, sensitive - Skin isn't very thin, but on the thinner side - Prone to blackheads/whiteheads and blemishes - Pores widening with age, fine lines developing < Basic Skincare Routine > 1. The packaging is sleek and clean-looking, as shown in the images. It's designed with hygiene and convenience in mind, featuring a separate cap and spoon. The texture melts easily with body heat and spreads well, while also providing hydration! As someone not used to cleansing balms, I found it much gentler and more suitable for my dry skin compared to regular lip and eye makeup removers when applied before cleansing.
ConsThe price feels a bit high for the amount you get, and the texture is somewhat firm for a cleansing balm. It's important to melt it well in your hands and massage it in thoroughly. Personally, I found that using a cleansing foam for a second cleanse was necessary to finish with a fresh feeling.
TipSince it's a cleansing product, I recommend emulsifying it for a more thorough cleanse! Start by melting the cleansing balm with your body heat and massaging it to break down makeup. Then, gradually add water while continuing to massage. This helps dissolve the cosmetics effectively, resulting in a clean and thorough cleanse.

It's great that I can easily remove eye makeup with the Hyaluronic Acid Balm, eliminating the need for a separate second cleanse. Texture: It melts quickly with body heat, making it really pleasant to use! Unlike some stiff formulas that are hard to use without water, this one glides on smoothly. I first cleanse with just the balm, then add water for a second cleanse, and it effectively removes even heavy makeup. The scent is mild and inoffensive, so I'm enjoying using it!
ConsThe included spoon makes it a bit tricky to close the lid properly, but I'm still using it happily!
TipUsing it two or three times a week can help manage blackheads.

Usually, when I switch cleansing products, I get blemishes, but this one is different. It has amazing cleansing effectiveness, yet the ingredients are so mild that even with my acne-prone, sensitive skin, I didn't experience any irritation. It truly exceeded my expectations! Unlike other cleansing balms where it's hard to see if you're emulsifying properly, this one visibly emulsifies as well as a cleansing oil, allowing for a more thorough cleanse! It's also fragrance-free, making it perfect for those of us with sensitivities to scents. The spatula storage is convenient, so even if you're prone to losing things like me, you won't misplace it! While it is on the richer side, considering the double cleanse method, I found it didn't cause any deep dryness for my combination dehydrated skin. I think it would work well for oily, dry, and combination skin types. I'm so satisfied that I'll definitely purchase it again. I highly recommend everyone give it a try!
ConsWhile the cleansing effectiveness was good, don't expect the pore tightening effect mentioned in the product description. It doesn't seem to tighten pores much at all. Blackheads might appear slightly lighter, but there's no dramatic effect. Also, compared to other cleansing balms, the texture is extremely firm. Lastly, the amount seems too small for the price.
TipDue to the nature of cleansing balms, residue often remains, so I recommend doing a second cleanse. When using a balm formula like this, don't forget the crucial emulsification step before rinsing! Wet your hands slightly and massage until it turns white. If you skip this, using a cleansing balm becomes pointless. Lastly, this cleansing balm has a firmer texture than others, so if you apply it directly to your face with the spatula, it'll just fall off in chunks. Instead, scoop out the right amount onto the back of your hand, warm it up by rubbing it a bit, then apply it to your face!

I was worried it might be stiff, but as soon as it touches your skin, it transforms into an oil-like texture, allowing for a smooth, gentle massage. The gentle ingredients didn't cause any eye irritation, and it removed makeup effectively! The moisturizing finish makes it perfect for fall and winter use.
ConsThere's a spatula between the lids, which can be a bit cumbersome to open and take out. If it melts even slightly, it gets messy when you try to put the spatula back and close the lid. For someone like me who prefers a squeaky-clean finish, I still needed to follow up with a foam cleanser.
TipSince it transforms immediately upon contact with skin, I used the spatula to scoop it out and place it directly on my face. Then I closed the lid before massaging it in with the warmth of my hands. This method prevented the balm from sticking to the lid, which was great!

I love that I don't need to bother with a separate lip and eye remover for a third cleanse anymore. Unlike the previous brand's cleansing balm I used, which had a slightly inconvenient screw-top lid, this product has an easy flip-top design with an attached cap, making it incredibly user-friendly. The ingredients are so gentle that I haven't experienced any eye irritation or blemishes after use.
ConsThe product feels a bit firm, so when you first scoop out the balm and place it on your face, it tends to slide off. Considering the price, the quantity seems a bit on the smaller side.

This product is so gentle that it doesn't hurt even if it gets in your eyes a bit, making it great for removing eye makeup. (Of course, I used a separate lip and eye cleanser for mascara first. Otherwise, you'd lose all your lashes!) I don't have double eyelids, so I don't line my waterline, but for those who do, this product shouldn't cause any eye irritation when removing makeup. Lately, I've been using cleansing balms a lot to remove makeup, and compared to other products, this one is gentler and seems good for managing sebum too. The color is soft and ethereal - I thought they might have added artificial colorants, but it turns out it's from natural sources. What I personally found satisfying was the sturdy lid. You know how some balms have those spoon-like scoops? This one has a robust lid that doesn't fall off easily, which is great because twist-off lids can be a bit inconvenient. Another advantage of cleansing balms is that they don't leave your skin feeling dry after removing makeup! Of course, I still use a cleansing foam afterwards just to be safe... They say double cleansing isn't necessary, but I feel uneasy otherwise... In conclusion, it removes makeup really well!
ConsThere aren't really any downsides. It's not so much a flaw of this product, but like all cleansing balms, it does run out quickly... Compared to cleansing oils, it might not be as cost-effective, but it's so much more convenient to use!

Even a small amount is effective. Usage order - Applied on bare face in the morning: Not irritating. After makeup: Removed makeup well without causing tightness. Review - No eye irritation or stinging, which indicates it's a gentle product. I have some areas with blackheads and enlarged pores, and it felt like it was removing impurities. It doesn't completely whiten blackheads, though. Personally, I find it slightly less effective than oil cleansers. Long-term use might yield better results. However, it removes makeup well, and most importantly, leaves no dryness or tightness after use. The fact that it doesn't irritate the eyes is a huge plus.
ConsWhile I appreciated the included spoon for scooping out the product, I wondered if it could be attached to the bottom of the container instead of being placed on top of the inner lid after use. The price is a bit on the high side, which is unfortunate.

While using it, I could really feel how gentle it is. Surprisingly, when some got into my eyes while massaging, it didn't sting at all! I was completely amazed. Usually, these cleansing products irritate the eyes, but this one doesn't at all. It's fantastic! It melts easily with body temperature, making it super easy to use.
ConsThere wasn't anything particularly disappointing! Perhaps because it's so gentle, it doesn't seem to remove blackheads very effectively after use.
TipAs you all probably know, you should use this with completely dry hands and face. Here's my personal tip: don't use it right after coming in from outside without washing your hands properly. That can cause blemishes on your face. Make sure to wash your hands thoroughly, dry them with a towel, and then cleanse with the balm!
