I really enjoyed using this cleansing gel as it was less irritating compared to the cleansing foams I frequently used before. The BHA ingredient was great for managing sebum and dead skin cells, so I used it with satisfaction! While it produces less foam than cleansing foams, its rich, dense lather was excellent for cleansing. My previous cleansing foam left my skin feeling a bit dry, but this cleansing gel caused less dryness and left my skin feeling smooth and silky. The foam isn't very abundant, so it seems better suited as a second-step cleanser. Since it contains BHA, I recommend using it every 2-3 days. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 4, 2025
I've been using this product from May 21st to June 4th, and here are my thoughts! My skin type is super sensitive with combination dehydrated skin - slightly oily in the T-zone, but extremely dry on my cheeks and forehead. I can't switch up my skincare products carelessly due to my sensitive skin! While I don't have acne-prone skin, I do get a pimple or two when I'm tired or haven't slept well. The cleansing effectiveness is pretty good! It works well if you use a makeup remover for your eyes and lips first. This was my first time trying a gel-type foam cleanser, and I found the texture nice. I didn't experience any blemishes after using it. The scent is almost fragrance-free, which is great. I appreciated the transparent packaging, as it made it easy to see how much product was left. Despite containing BHA, which I was worried might be drying or irritating, it worked well for my skin! The only downside is that it doesn't lather as much as my previous cleanser that produced rich foam. That's the only complaint I have! Since I have sensitive skin, I used a separate foam net to create lather before applying it to my face. If you don't have a foam net, you can just dispense some product into your hands, work up a lather, and then cleanse your face. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 4, 2025
I have combination dehydrated skin that's super oily in both summer and winter!!! And to top it off, I'm super sensitive too... Due to my excessively oily face, my makeup tends to break down easily, and you know those dreaded fingernail marks that wipe away makeup? Yeah, that's my oil-slick face for you ㅠㅠ First off, the texture is gel-type, just like the cleanser's name suggests! There's a bit of a downside to this, which I'll mention later ㅎㅎ What I absolutely loved was that instead of leaving my skin squeaky clean, it left it feeling moisturized. My skin tends to be shiny on the surface with clogged pores, blackheads, and excess sebum, along with deep dryness. After cleansing, my skin felt hydrated and thoroughly cleansed - it was amazing! Since it contains BHA and I have sensitive skin, I used it every other day instead of daily!! Thanks to the BHA, it seemed to remove dead skin cells, making my skin look cleaner and fresher? It felt like it cleared out the gunk clogging my pores, so I think I'm getting fewer blemishes too?! I haven't changed anything else in my skincare routine, so I think my skin feels more comfortable thanks to Hi-Cle! I definitely recommend this for people with skin like mine!! I know gel cleansers typically don't foam up much! Other products barely lather at all ㅠ This one did produce some foam, but don't expect a rich lather! Still, I'm completely satisfied with everything else, especially the BHA for dead skin cell removal!!!!! To help with dead skin cell removal, I left it on my face for a bit before rinsing! Remember, I used it every other day due to my sensitive skin! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJun 2, 2025
1. Gentle on the skin This product is definitely gentle. Being a gel type, the lather isn't harsh, and after cleansing, my skin doesn't feel tight but stays moisturized. It's particularly great for those with super sensitive skin or deep dryness issues. 2. Blemish improvement I've always struggled with small bumps, but after using this product, I've noticed a significant improvement. I'm especially pleased with how it's calmed the tiny blemishes around my chin area. 3. Balances oil and dead skin cells With its salicylic acid (BHA) content, using it every few days has noticeably reduced oil in my T-zone and nose area. It also seems to naturally exfoliate dead skin cells. My skin feels smoother to the touch, which I love. 4. Fragrance-free As someone sensitive to scents, I often struggle when choosing cosmetics. This product is practically fragrance-free, allowing for stress-free use. I highly recommend it to those who are particular about fragrances in their cleansing routine. 5. Packaging Unlike my previous product with an opaque container, this one comes in a transparent bottle. I really appreciate being able to see exactly how much product is left. 1. Cleansing effectiveness Despite being a deep pore cleanser, it doesn't give the sensation of powerfully removing blackheads or deep-seated impurities. Those who prefer a squeaky-clean feeling or are looking for a product with strong cleansing power might find its effectiveness a bit lacking. 2. Amount control As a first-time user of gel-type products, I initially struggled to gauge how much to use. The lather isn't very rich, which led me to use more product. Consequently, it seems to run out faster than expected given its volume. 1. Second-step cleanser Using this product as a second-step cleanser after a more powerful first cleanse works great. It reduces irritation while still leaving skin feeling fresh. This combination is particularly beneficial for those with super sensitive skin. 2. Gel-type usage For gel-type cleansers, it's best to work up a good lather in your palms before applying to your face. Focusing on the T-zone and U-zone areas during cleansing can be particularly effective for oil control and blemish prevention. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 2, 2025
My skin type is combination, leaning more towards combination dehydrated. When using a cleansing foam, I pay close attention to how my skin feels after washing, the cleansing effectiveness, and how well it removes dead skin cells and sebum. Here are the great things about using the Hycl BHA Cleanser: Ingredients The biggest advantage is that it doesn't contain any potentially irritating ingredients, so I can use it with confidence! I've had a few instances where I used cleansers thinking, "It's fine since I'm washing it off," only to end up with irritation and rashes. So now I always check the ingredients before buying, and I'm pleased with how gentle this cleanser's formula is. Cleansing effectiveness To be honest, this cleansing foam is best suited for skin that only has sunscreen on it. If you expect it to remove all your makeup, you might need to cleanse 3-4 times, and even then, glitter and mascara will likely remain. However, on hot summer days when I've only applied sunscreen, this cleanser alone is sufficient. Since I don't wear heavy makeup often, I find that it cleanses my skin thoroughly after a day of wearing just basic skincare and sunscreen. Post-cleanse feeling Some cleansing foams that claim to remove sebum can leave my face feeling tight and dry, which then leads to quick oil production. But this cleansing foam doesn't cause much dryness after use. I was pleased that it didn't leave my skin feeling tight at all. Dead skin cells and sebum removal While my skin doesn't have visibly noticeable dead skin cells or excess sebum, I do pay extra attention to whiteheads in my T-zone and dead skin cells on my cheeks. After about two weeks of use, I noticed that there was less dead skin build-up, and I could feel that my sebum was being softened to some extent. Lather It doesn't produce an extremely rich lather. However, if you squeeze out an appropriate amount and work it between your hands, it creates enough foam for a good cleanse. Overall impression This is a suitable cleanser for combination dehydrated or combination skin types. It's worth trying if you're concerned about dead skin cells or whiteheads! If you're wearing makeup, it's best to use this as a second cleanse after using makeup remover and cleansing tissues. I tried using it on one half of my face after a double cleanse and on the other half using only this foam cleanser. It didn't completely remove eye makeup or lip tints. If you prefer cleansing foams that produce a rich lather, this might not be a significant advantage for you. I don't mind as long as it cleanses well, so I used it without issues. The scent is close to unscented, but there's a somewhat strange "new product" smell. I'm extremely sensitive to smells, so I detect an odd chemical scent and hold my breath when lathering and massaging it on my face. This seems to be a personal issue though, as my boyfriend didn't notice much of a smell after using it. The foam isn't extremely rich! So if you use a foaming net and work up a good lather, it could become a very satisfying cleansing foam. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 29, 2025
Skin Type: Combination 🚨 My usual concern: Pores and excess sebum 🚨 Product texture and feel: Hycl's BHA Deep Pore Gel Cleanser is a product that nails both cleansing effectiveness and gentleness! With its gel texture, it feels incredibly lightweight on the skin. After use, I felt refreshed and my skin felt clean. It seemed to clear out impurities and sebum from my pores without any irritation, making it a comfortable product for daily use. I found it particularly effective in reducing visible dead skin cells and whiteheads around my nose. Plus, my skin didn't feel tight after cleansing, which worked well for me! However, it's not a heavy-duty or rich-lathering type like some cleansing foams, so it fell a bit short in terms of completely removing base makeup. When I wore heavy makeup, I definitely needed a separate makeup remover or first cleanse. This product alone didn't give me that "all my makeup is gone!" feeling, unfortunately. Overall Assessment: ✔️ Pros: Gentle gel formula, excellent at clearing sebum and dead skin cells, no tightness after cleansing ❌ Cons: Somewhat weak for makeup removal (first cleanse essential) Recommended for those who want to focus on clearing out pores or desire a non-irritating daily cleanser! It's gentle enough for sensitive skin, so with consistent use, I think satisfaction levels will likely increase over time! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 28, 2025
Here's my review of the Hicle - BHA Deep Pore Gel Cleanser 150ml. This cleanser has a thin gel texture with a transparent brownish tint. When you take a closer whiff, there's a subtle hint of a soap-like scent, but it's so faint that it's not bothersome at all. The product doesn't contain artificial fragrances, so the color and scent come from the natural ingredients, making it gentle on the skin. I love that it comes in a rare transparent tube, allowing you to easily see how much product is left. While it doesn't produce an abundance of foam, the lather is rich and fine, providing sufficient cleansing effectiveness. As someone with super sensitive skin, I was really pleased with how moisturizing and gentle it felt - absolutely no irritation! After cleansing, I didn't experience any deep dryness or tightness. Instead, my skin felt hydrated and smooth, leaving a wonderful finish. For a brief moment after washing, my skin felt as soft as a baby's! With my sensitive, combination dehydrated, blemish-prone skin, I really appreciated its thorough oil cleansing power and how it left my skin feeling moisturized without any tightness. I'll definitely consider repurchasing once I've used it up. I highly recommend this for those dealing with blemishes, dead skin cells, or excess oil, thanks to its high concentration of BHA! The lather isn't extremely rich, so I'd suggest using it as a second cleanser. If you have very dry skin, you might experience some tightness after washing. When you rub it between wet hands, it creates a small amount of foam. If you want more lather, try mixing in a bit of water and working it between your hands several times to create a sufficient amount of foam. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 28, 2025
I've been using this product for about 10 days. My skin didn't feel sensitive or irritated when using it. The gel texture creates a rich, dense lather that feels satisfying. I noticed a slight improvement in my skin texture. There was no deep dryness after use. It didn't cause any blemishes or trigger acne. It seems to be quite gentle on the skin. The tube packaging is convenient, as you can see how much product is left. I've been observing the bumpy texture around my nose before, during, and after washing, but unfortunately, it's remained unchanged for over 10 days... That's a bit disappointing. While some say it leaves the skin feeling hydrated after rinsing, I don't experience tightness, but there's a lingering slippery sensation that feels unclean, even after thorough rinsing. It's more of a slick feeling rather than moisturized. Despite claims that it helps with excess oil and bumpy texture, I haven't seen any improvement. Even after using it for over a week, these issues persist. It does lather, but the foam isn't as rich and abundant as I'd hoped. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 28, 2025
Ever since I received this product, I've been using it religiously for my evening cleanse after work! I was initially excited to try this gel cleanser, hoping it would tackle my main concern - sebum and blackheads. As someone who regularly uses enzyme cleansers but hadn't seen significant results, I was pleasantly surprised by this creamy gel cleanser, especially during these dry winter days when my skin tends to crack. While it doesn't produce an abundance of foam, which might be unexpected, the slight slip left at the end of cleansing wasn't bothersome at all. It's perfect for balancing oil production without being too harsh on non-oily skin types. What impressed me most was its effect on those pesky whiteheads and tiny bumps! Though the improvement might be subtle (and possibly partly psychological), I'm definitely satisfied with the results. There's a slight texture to the product, but it's not as abrasive as powdered enzyme cleansers. It effectively removes dead skin cells, which is great for me since I'm prone to blackheads and subsequent flakiness. Surprisingly, the exfoliation is gentle yet effective. Despite being suitable for oily skin, it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or dehydrated, making it potentially great for dry skin types too. The scent is pleasant and inoffensive, and the lather is just right. Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed! While it didn't cause any blemishes on my sensitive skin, those who prefer a rich, foamy lather might find this product a bit lacking in that department. For those times when you want to indulge in a foam mask experience, try using one of those foam-making dispensers! I gave it a shot, creating a fluffy cloud of cleanser on my face, and it wasn't half bad. I recommend everyone give it a try at least once! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 28, 2025
- Usage period: May 16 - May 28 - Skin type: Forehead blemishes, dead skin cells, deep dryness - Used during morning and evening cleansing routines * As it was my first time trying a gel-type cleanser, it felt novel. The texture was pleasantly bouncy, and it felt gentle and non-irritating on my skin. * The scent was nearly fragrance-free, which didn't interfere with the user experience. * On days I wore makeup, I used it as a second cleanse. On makeup-free days, I used it to remove sunscreen with a tinted base. Since I don't like any slippery residue after cleansing, I always follow up with a foaming cleanser. This product works perfectly as a second cleanse. It's also effective enough to remove tinted sunscreen or regular sunscreen on its own! * My skin (sensitive) sometimes reacts to toners or cleansers, but this product didn't cause any blemishes or redness. * It's incredibly gentle and hydrating. - Because it's a hydrating product, I found myself rinsing more thoroughly (not sure if this is a real drawback) - It doesn't produce a rich lather. Highly recommended if you're looking for a non-irritating product.
