-Texture: It's a gel formula that lightly foams when it comes in contact with water (not a rich, dense foam type) -Scent: An artificial soap-like fragrance? I was slightly worried about potential irritation or breakouts when using it, but so far I haven't experienced any issues. Being a gel type, it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight after cleansing and keeps it hydrated, which I'm really happy about. With my combination dehydrated and super sensitive skin, cleansers that are too strong can actually damage my skin barrier while trying to cleanse thoroughly, leading to breakouts. In that regard, I feel I can use this cleanser with peace of mind. I haven't found any downsides yet. I'll need to use it more to see its effects on sebum and dead skin cells. However, it might not be strong enough to remove makeup on its own. Also, if you have oily skin and prefer a powerful cleanse with a squeaky-clean finish, you might find this slightly disappointing. This would work well as a second-step cleanser in your routine. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 4, 2025
I tried a gel cleanser for the first time, and true to its name, the transparent texture was quite intriguing. The foam wasn't exactly like whipped cream, but more like beaten egg whites, I'd say. There wasn't any particular scent to it. I usually prefer cleansers that leave my skin feeling squeaky clean, so I was a bit worried. But surprisingly, I found it quite nice! After washing, my face didn't feel super tight, but it wasn't slippery either. Instead, it felt refreshed with a noticeable boost in hydration. While it didn't completely eliminate sebum, even after one use, I noticed my skin felt smoother and some of the excess oil was definitely reduced. I think with consistent use, it could really help manage oily skin and uneven texture! This might not be the best choice for those who love that squeaky-clean feeling or are looking for a heavy-duty makeup remover. It's perfect for a gentle morning cleanse. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 4, 2025
I've been using this product every evening for my cleansing routine lately, and I'm absolutely thrilled with the results! My skin feels so much softer, and I've noticed fewer blemishes popping up. The gel formula is gentle yet effective, managing dead skin cells and sebum without any irritation. Its cleansing power is impressive too - even after my first cleanse, it leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean with no residue. The fragrance is so subtle it's practically unscented, making it perfect for those sensitive to artificial fragrances. After use, my skin feels hydrated rather than dry, which makes me think it would be great for sensitive or acne-prone skin. I especially love how the fine foam seems to deep-clean my pores, effectively tackling blackheads around my nose and leaving no foam residue behind. What's really impressed me is how, with continued use, I've noticed a significant reduction in dead skin cells and a smoother overall complexion. The ingredients are so gentle that I feel comfortable using it daily without any worries about irritation. I'm definitely considering repurchasing! I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone dealing with acne, sensitive skin, or general blemish concerns. • It may not be strong enough as a first cleanser, working better as a second step in a double cleansing routine. • The foam isn't very rich, which might leave you feeling like you're not getting a thorough cleanse. • I didn't notice any reduction in acne or improvement in oil control, and in some cases, it even seemed to cause blemishes. • Those with dry skin might experience some tightness after washing. • The finish is more slick than squeaky clean, which might not be everyone's cup of tea. For better exfoliation and pore care, try applying a small amount to dry skin instead of wet, gently massaging in circular motions. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 4, 2025
I have combination skin that leans more towards oily. My nose and T-zone are oily, while the rest of my face is normal to dry. Usually, I use a low pH cleansing foam in the morning and a slightly alkaline one in the evening. This was my first time trying a gel-type cleanser, and contrary to my worries about its cleansing power, it actually cleaned well while maintaining the gentle feel of a gel! I'd recommend this for oily skin types or those with excess sebum production. The BHA ingredient seems to help significantly with oil control compared to when I don't use it. Despite containing BHA, it's gentle enough for daily use without causing irritation, which I really appreciated. However, when my face was particularly oily, I found the cleansing power slightly lacking. Still, it was great for morning use! I felt it was more effective to use it intermittently rather than every day. What worked best for me was using this as a second cleanse after oil cleansing, especially following light makeup or sunscreen application. This method was super effective at controlling sebum and thoroughly cleansing my skin - I was extremely satisfied! I'll definitely be purchasing this with my own money once I finish it! If you prefer that squeaky-clean feeling after cleansing, you might find this product a bit lacking. Being a gentle formula, it focuses more on soft cleansing rather than giving that refreshed sensation. However, I initially thought it wasn't cleansing enough, but later realized it left my skin less dry while still effectively cleansed. Keep in mind that it's not an extremely powerful cleanser, so it might struggle to remove heavy makeup on its own. On days when I wore light makeup, I noticed a significant difference when using this as a second cleanse after an oil cleanser. Compared to not using this product, I found that blackheads and excess sebum developed more slowly and in smaller amounts! If you're struggling with oily skin or excess sebum, try using this after removing oil with a cleansing oil - it's a game-changer for blemishes and pores! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 4, 2025
This cleansing gel has a light, gel-like texture. When dry, it feels soft and pliable, like a clear pudding. Once you add water and lather it up, it transforms into a fluffy foam that gently melts onto your face without any irritation. The rich lather makes cleansing a pleasant experience. The transparent container and the fluid consistency of the product make it easy to see how much is left, ensuring you can use every last drop - a definite plus! What's most impressive is how gentle the ingredients are. You can use it twice daily without any skin irritation. After cleansing, instead of that tight, squeaky-clean feeling, your skin retains a hydrated, moisturized sensation without any dryness. I also love that it doesn't cause any deep dryness or tightness in the skin. While the cleansing effectiveness isn't extremely powerful, it's perfect for daily use. Overall, I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a gentle, refreshing daily cleanser. While I personally enjoyed this aspect, the fact that it leaves your skin feeling moisturized rather than squeaky clean might not be everyone's cup of tea. It could be a matter of personal preference. On days when you're wearing heavy makeup or have applied a thick layer of sunscreen, this product alone might not be sufficient. In such cases, I'd recommend double cleansing for thorough removal. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 4, 2025
*Skin type: Sensitive, prone to allergic blemishes, on the dry side *Usage period: 2 weeks *Texture: Slightly runny gel cleanser *Lather: Not the type that creates abundant foam; use with a foam net if you prefer rich lather *Scent: Fragrance-free *Pros ✅️ No irritation after use, even for super sensitive skin ✅️ Leaves skin feeling moisturized and soft after use ✅️ Skin felt incredibly smooth the day after first use ✅️ Effectively removed makeup without oil, using just the cleanser for double cleansing - no irritation ✅️ As it's formulated for acne-prone skin, it noticeably reduced sebum around the nose area. However, it wasn't harsh enough to cause tightness. Instead, the finish was hydrating, and applying skincare immediately after helped maintain moisture. That said, as it's designed to control oil, those with dry skin might want to limit use to summer months While there aren't any significant downsides, those who prefer a squeaky-clean feel might find the moisturized, slightly slippery finish feels less thorough (according to my husband). As mentioned earlier, this cleanser doesn't create abundant foam on its own. Using it with a foam net produced a satisfyingly rich lather. It's recommended to follow up with skincare immediately after cleansing to lock in hydration. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJun 2, 2025
1. Gentle on the skin This product is definitely gentle. Being a gel type, the lather isn't harsh, and after cleansing, my skin doesn't feel tight but stays moisturized. It's particularly great for those with super sensitive skin or deep dryness issues. 2. Blemish improvement I've always struggled with small bumps, but after using this product, I've noticed a significant improvement. I'm especially pleased with how it's calmed the tiny blemishes around my chin area. 3. Balances oil and dead skin cells With its salicylic acid (BHA) content, using it every few days has noticeably reduced oil in my T-zone and nose area. It also seems to naturally exfoliate dead skin cells. My skin feels smoother to the touch, which I love. 4. Fragrance-free As someone sensitive to scents, I often struggle when choosing cosmetics. This product is practically fragrance-free, allowing for stress-free use. I highly recommend it to those who are particular about fragrances in their cleansing routine. 5. Packaging Unlike my previous product with an opaque container, this one comes in a transparent bottle. I really appreciate being able to see exactly how much product is left. 1. Cleansing effectiveness Despite being a deep pore cleanser, it doesn't give the sensation of powerfully removing blackheads or deep-seated impurities. Those who prefer a squeaky-clean feeling or are looking for a product with strong cleansing power might find its effectiveness a bit lacking. 2. Amount control As a first-time user of gel-type products, I initially struggled to gauge how much to use. The lather isn't very rich, which led me to use more product. Consequently, it seems to run out faster than expected given its volume. 1. Second-step cleanser Using this product as a second-step cleanser after a more powerful first cleanse works great. It reduces irritation while still leaving skin feeling fresh. This combination is particularly beneficial for those with super sensitive skin. 2. Gel-type usage For gel-type cleansers, it's best to work up a good lather in your palms before applying to your face. Focusing on the T-zone and U-zone areas during cleansing can be particularly effective for oil control and blemish prevention. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 2, 2025
The most satisfying aspect was that it didn't cause any blemishes! I often experienced small breakouts around my nose, chin, or cheeks when using sunscreen, but during the two weeks of using this product, I didn't have a single breakout. I was extremely pleased with that. Also, since BHA is prominently featured in the name, I had high hopes for blackhead and sebum removal. Sure enough, my nose seemed cleaner and less congested. I didn't need to use pore strips for two weeks, which was another plus. I'm definitely considering repurchasing! The one disappointing aspect was the residue left after cleansing. I had high expectations for its deep cleansing properties, but there was more residue than I anticipated. It didn't give me that squeaky clean feeling I was hoping for. However, perhaps due to its gel cleanser nature, it did leave my skin feeling somewhat moisturized, which wasn't bad. When using only sunscreen, I was pleased that I could use this cleanser alone without a second cleanse and still avoid skin blemishes. I think I'll use it often when I'm too lazy for a double cleanse. Highly recommended! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 29, 2025
My acne has been out of control lately... I'm not sure if it's my diet, hormones, or the weather... ugh. I've been using the Pyunkang Yul Low pH Pore Deep Cleansing Foam, but I thought a gel cleanser might be gentler, so I decided to give this a try! First off, this product has so many advantages! The packaging and the color of the cleanser are absolutely gorgeous. Since it's a gel cleanser, it doesn't produce as much foam as a regular foam cleanser. Instead of feeling like your face is completely covered in thick suds, it's more like the amount of foam you'd get from one wash with a regular foam cleanser. I thought the cleansing power might be weak since it's a gel, but it was just as effective as a regular foam cleanser. It cleanses gently and doesn't leave my skin feeling tight after washing. Although it looks gentle because it's a gel, it contains a high concentration of 5,000ppm BHA. I was worried it might irritate my sensitive skin, but I didn't experience any tingling, blemishes, or burning sensation. Even on days when I use a supposedly gentle foam cleanser, I sometimes get a temporary burning feeling, but not with this one! It seems to control oil and remove sebum quite well! Of course, you need to use any product for a longer time to really know, but I use a separate sebum softener, and I've noticed less sebum than usual! That being said, it's not quite my style. I prefer foams that leave my skin feeling refreshed without any residue. If you don't mind the after-feel, I definitely recommend giving this a try! There's really nothing disappointing about this product's effectiveness... But I absolutely wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wants that squeaky-clean, refreshed feeling after cleansing! It's gentler and milder than I expected, so I've been using it in the mornings. In the evenings, I sometimes use a foam cleanser that leaves my skin feeling... a bit drier and more refreshed. This product is perfect for those who prefer a moisturized feeling after cleansing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 28, 2025
I have combination to dry skin with no noticeable blemishes, but I'm prone to whiteheads and have a slightly dull, yellowish complexion. While I don't usually wear much makeup, I always apply sunscreen year-round when going out. So, I double cleanse using either an oil + foam cleanser or soap. I love the clean packaging design with its soft pink color - the product looks so pretty! It's also easy to see how much is left, which is great. The texture is a gel with a consistency similar to dish soap. At first, I tried lathering with my hands, but it doesn't foam up easily that way. Using a foam net, however, I was able to create a nice, rich lather. Unlike many foam cleansers these days that produce a thick, creamy lather, this one creates a soft, airy foam. I actually prefer this as I find the creamy types too drying. I used this after my cleansing oil, and it did a good job of removing any residue, so the cleansing effectiveness seems decent. The real wow factor comes after rinsing - perhaps due to the BHA, my skin feels as smooth as if I'd already applied toner! I've been using this product for about 10 days since being selected as a Hwahae Tester. While I can't say I've noticed much difference with blackheads (which weren't a major issue for me), the whiteheads that often appeared between my brows and the bumpy texture on my chin have significantly improved. This is my first time using a BHA product, and I wish I'd discovered how well it works for me sooner! I'd recommend this product for those with dry skin or anyone who responds well to BHA ingredients. While I don't have any major complaints, some might consider it a drawback that the skin doesn't feel squeaky clean after washing. Also, the price is a bit on the higher side... Be sure to use this with a foaming net or bubble maker!
