Positive aspects: ✅ Noticeably less irritating. I'm prone to blemishes, so I focus on exfoliation and hydration. The most crucial factor is that my skin reacts strongly to product ingredients. Even slightly incompatible or strong products can easily upset my skin. I've always wanted to try products with BHA but was hesitant to purchase due to concerns. However, this product seemed to have a reputation for "stability" based on reviews, and the ingredients looked promising, so I decided to give it a try. After using it, I can confirm there were no skin irritation or blemish-inducing issues. It didn't aggravate existing blemishes either, so I didn't experience any significant discomfort. ✅ Texture and feel It has a gel-like consistency, but when mixed with a small amount of water, it lathers well, making it quite convenient to use. Moreover, I didn't experience any discomfort while cleansing, and the scent wasn't overpowering, so it didn't feel oppressive. After use, my skin felt clean without any slippery residue, but it wasn't overly squeaky clean, which I found very satisfying. However, while my skin felt smooth, there was a slight sensation of a film being left behind, which took some getting used to. If you're not fond of this feeling or experiencing it for the first time, you might find it a bit strange initially. ✅ Room for improvement Without a foam net, it's challenging to create rich, dense foam. The foam is more fine than thick and creamy, so I ended up using a foam net for a more satisfying cleanse. This could be inconvenient when using the product outside or while traveling, which is why I've listed it as a drawback. Additionally, the cleansing effectiveness was slightly disappointing. Even with just sunscreen on, when mixed with impurities, it felt like it didn't cleanse thoroughly, leaving me feeling a bit uncomfortable. Of course, you could use it after an oil cleanser or cleansing balm, but not being able to remove everything in one go means you'd need to cleanse twice, which feels a bit cumbersome. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinMay 25, 2025
The cleansing power isn't overwhelmingly strong. Instead, it gently and subtly helps manage dead skin cells. Rather than aggressively exfoliating, it's more about refining accumulated impurities. It cleansed comfortably without irritation, and I could feel my skin's surface becoming smoother. It doesn't completely remove all makeup residue. It's best used after an oil cleanser when you want a gentle finish. The texture and feel are like a transparent gel! It's not as fluid as water, but has a plump gel consistency. It doesn't create an abundance of foam, which felt odd at first. But as I used it, it had an oil cleanser feel, and rinsed off cleanly and quickly. Above all, it leaves skin feeling moisturized with almost no tightness after washing. It leaves a slightly hydrated film, but without any unpleasant slipperiness! Recommended for dry to combination skin types! Even sensitive skin needing dead skin cell management can use it without issues. Also suitable for oily skin types who dislike an overly squeaky-clean finish. Sensitive skin should be fine if not used daily. I personally used it every other day with no irritation. Final thoughts: 1. Gentle yet effective dead skin cell management! 2. No tightness after cleansing, leaves skin feeling moisturized 3. Gel type is less irritating, usable even on sensitive skin days 4. Generous amount lasts long, good value for money 5. Skin felt comfortable even without immediately applying products after cleansing If you prefer foaming cleansers, you might find this slightly unsatisfying. It does produce some foam, but not much. Most importantly, it's not suitable for use on its own! It's lacking as a makeup cleanser (double cleansing needed!) The exfoliating ingredients might be too much for daily use. 2-3 times a week seems appropriate. On sensitive days, it may cause subtle irritation (best to avoid the eye area!) It's perfect to use every 2-3 days rather than daily! Gently roll it on briefly instead of massaging, to minimize skin stress. On days when dead skin cells are noticeable, leaving it on dry skin for about 30 seconds before cleansing slightly enhances its effectiveness. After washing, it pairs well with a hydrating cream or soothing ampoule! Above all, don't expect this deep cleanser to remove all cosmetics. Use it as a finishing step after an oil or balm cleanser. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 10, 2025
Skin type: Combination dehydrated, sensitive Best feature: Sebum control + Moisture retention As someone with combination dehydrated yet naturally oily skin, I wanted to control sebum without that tight post-cleanse feeling. This product perfectly absorbs excess oil while maintaining hydration, making for a truly satisfying experience. I usually stuck to slightly alkaline cleansers for my combination skin, but I learned from YouTube that oily skin shouldn't use alkaline products long-term! This cleanser hits the sweet spot with its mild alkaline formula - it's perfect! The foam is gentle, and like an enzyme cleanser, it leaves my skin smooth and soft without irritation after use. I was about to repurchase my BHA toner for exfoliation, but I might not need to anymore! Clean feel without the squeaky dryness - refreshing finish! Room for improvement: The foam isn't particularly rich, which might feel unsatisfying for those used to foamier cleansers. Since it contains BHA, I'm using it 2-3 times a week instead of daily. For those struggling with dead skin cells, try BHA products for oily skin or AHA for dry skin. It's most convenient and effective to use a daily toner or cleanser with these ingredients rather than separate exfoliating treatments. I bought a BHA pack too, but found it too bothersome to use regularly.
