This product lives up to its 'barrier' name by effectively combating deep dryness. Usually, barrier products feel heavy or thick, so I only use them at night and avoid them before makeup. But this one doesn't cause pilling even under makeup! Typically, even just oil mists cause me to break out, but this friend doesn't trigger any blemishes, which is great. I have super sensitive skin, but it doesn't cause any tingling or pimples. The texture is like a cleansing milk, so it's surprisingly light for a barrier product. It's hydrating, tackles deep dryness, and even my mom says she doesn't feel any deep dryness. We're both enjoying it! I haven't found any drawbacks yet. I've tried barrier creams from La Roche-Posay, Dr.G, Real Barrier, Aestura, and until recently, Cell Fusion C. Among all these brands, this is by far the most hydrating barrier cream. Hydrated, smooth, and glowing seem to be this product's key features. After applying, I've often heard that my skin looks dewy and healthy. If you prefer a glowy look over matte, try using this as a base for your makeup. You'll feel like you're glowing from within! The hydrating feel makes me reach for it often. Among all the barrier creams I've tried, this is the most hydrating. I highly recommend it for those who want to solve deep dryness without the heaviness! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 9, 2025
✔️ As someone with combination dehydrated skin whose skin barrier gets wrecked every season change, I've been a cream nomad unable to find the right fit. ✔️ Creams that are either too low in hydration or too rich in oils often lead to blemishes the next day, making me hesitant to use them. However, this cream instantly felt like it had the perfect oil and moisture balance, leaving my skin feeling incredibly comfortable. ✔️ During the tail end of the seasonal transition when it's starting to warm up, it's tricky to choose between thick or light creams. This one hits the sweet spot in between, which I think is why my skin felt so at ease. ✔️ From April to May, I've been using semi-matte foundations or cushions, which always made my deep dryness feel worse. But since using this cream, my makeup doesn't cake at all and I don't feel any dryness. ✔️ I'm so satisfied that I'm willing to repurchase regardless of the price for the seasonal transitions. Everything's great, but it's a shame it contains pore-clogging ingredients. That's why I feel hesitant to apply it generously on my forehead, though my cheeks are fine. (Still, I haven't experienced any blemishes!) This cream seems great for dry and combination dehydrated skin types. It's suitable for winter and seasonal transitions. While it might feel a bit heavy for summer, I think it could work if you pare down your skincare routine and apply it thinly. It adheres well to the skin, preventing dryness, makeup pilling, and caking - which is fantastic. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 9, 2025
As someone with sensitive combination dehydrated skin, I've been using this product as the final step in my day and night routine for about two weeks! At first glance, I was worried it might be too rich, but it turns out to have just the right consistency and hydration level for combination dehydrated skin as a last step. It's like a perfect balance between a hydrating cream and a moisturizer. Even though it's quite hydrating, it spreads easily and absorbs well when applied as a final layer, leaving long-lasting moisture. I was also very satisfied with the excellent ingredients. Not only does it help with oil and moisture balance, but it seems to strengthen the skin barrier and soothe blemishes too. I didn't experience any breakouts while using this product. The formula and ingredients are so good that you can even use it on your body - I apply any excess on my palms to my neck, chest, and itchy scalp areas. It's surprisingly generous in quantity, and the tube packaging makes it easy to control the amount while keeping it hygienic! There's nothing to complain about! It's so well-made. With good promotion, I think this product will really take off! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 8, 2025
Used for about 2 weeks, applied after evening cleanse, mist, and serum. In the morning, applied very thinly after water cleanse. Texture and absorption: Compared to my previous cream (Il*yoon), which had a thick consistency, this one feels softer and slightly more fluid. Scent: Almost fragrance-free. Absorption: While not exceptionally fast-absorbing, it provided good hydration. After use, there was a noticeable reduction in dead skin cells even when applying sunscreen. My cheeks are sensitive and my T-zone is oily. The cream didn't cause any blemishes on my cheeks and was actually effective for hydration. However, it made my forehead and nose quite shiny, leading to some blemishes. It might not be suitable for oily skin types. While the difference isn't dramatic to the naked eye immediately after application, once it's absorbed, my cheeks definitely feel softer and smoother. Even when applied thinly in the morning followed by sunscreen, it caused significant pilling. You need to wait long enough for it to absorb completely. It caused blemishes on my oily areas. These subsided after I stopped using the product (also used ointment). - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 6, 2025
As someone with combination dehydrated skin, super sensitive skin, redness, and pore issues, here's my take: ✅Texture/Application: I expected it to be thick, but it applies smoothly and feels more hydrating than anticipated. My usual routine is toner > serum > moisturizer, and on extra dry days, I add panthenol. Currently, I'm using this as my moisturizer. After application, my face looks slightly dewy, but it doesn't feel like it's sitting on top of the skin or make my hair stick to my face, so it's not uncomfortable. If you apply a moderate amount, it doesn't leave you looking overly greasy (unlike some other products I've used, excluding panthenol), which I'm satisfied with. ✅One Week Review: After using it, I didn't experience any increase in redness, tingling, or blemishes. While it might not provide enough hydration for those with extremely dry skin, I think it's a decent option for most people. It's a bit rich for use under makeup. I applied it as the last step in my routine before sunscreen, and by the afternoon, my skin felt oilier than usual. It's fine for nighttime use or as a regular moisturizer. If you dislike even a hint of oiliness, you might want to look for alternatives. However, I found it quite nice for nighttime application. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 4, 2025
The texture is just right - not too thick, not too light. It's perfect for this season! I love that it's fragrance-free, and it absorbs well into the skin. Looking at the ingredients, I didn't see any concerning ones, which is great for my super sensitive skin! I haven't experienced any redness or blemishes after using it. The good ingredients must be working their magic! When I apply it in the evening, my skin stays hydrated until morning. The lasting power seems excellent. After my toner and emulsion, this cream creates a moisturizing barrier that feels amazing! It's not overly rich, so it doesn't feel heavy or suffocating on the skin. I honestly couldn't find any downsides while using this product! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 1, 2025
I usually use Physiogel as my go-to, but I found this to be similar yet different. When squeezing it out, they seem alike, but when applying, you can see that Physiogel is slightly more opaque and richer. In comparison, COSRX spreads more like a hydrating cream - a bit more transparent and easier to apply. It absorbs well and the size is convenient, making it perfect for those like me who only use sunscreen as a base and want something to touch up with throughout the day. That's exactly what I do! My office gets quite warm and my cheeks often feel hot, but applying this and following up with a mist helps calm my skin. Like Physiogel, it forms a slight film when applied, giving your skin a beautiful glow. This might vary from person to person, but it does form a film-like layer similar to Physiogel, so those who prefer a fresh finish might not be fans. Also, after seeing reviews mentioning eye irritation, I avoided applying it around my eyes. Great for carrying around and reapplying on cheeks, forehead, etc. throughout the day! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 30, 2025
The gold standard in skin barrier hydration! This intensive skin barrier cream contains the perfect combination of ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids (CeCoFa). It's a true fundamental moisturizing care with zero harmful ingredients, offering gentle, low-irritation derma hydration for all skin types. The pure white, fragrance-free formula has a smooth, bouncy texture that's not sticky or heavy. It absorbs quickly, providing long-lasting moisture that clings to the skin. This essential moisturizer is highly recommended for the whole family, from children to adults of all ages, thanks to its safe ingredients. When the skin barrier is damaged, various blemishes, redness, sensitivity, itching, and persistent dryness can occur, creating a vicious cycle of skin sensitivity. That's when you need this CeCoFa skin barrier moisturizing and soothing cream the most. COSRX seems to have created a proper skin barrier moisturizing cream with this product. Key ingredients (Zero harmful substances, contains CeCoFa combination): - Ceramide, cholesterol, and fatty acid combination (including complex ceramides) - Squalane (hydration) - 5 types of hyaluronic acid (hydration, dry skin care) - Allantoin (soothing) - Panthenol B5 (strengthens skin barrier) - Tocopherol (calming) - Other effective ingredients Texture, color, scent, application, absorption, hydration, and effects: - Texture: Soft, bouncy, and fresh cream (not thick; slightly thinner than Ce*rave's Intensive Cream, similar to their Facial Cream with a soft, hydrating feel) - Color and scent: Pure white, fragrance-free - Application: Light and smooth feeling - Absorption: Non-sticky, clean, and silky finish - Hydration: Long-lasting moisture, maintaining deep skin hydration - Effects: Very moisturizing even without adding facial oil (like jojoba oil) as a final step during seasonal changes. If using oil, apply only a small amount to avoid potential breakouts due to excess oil (oil-moisture balance is key) Completed skin tests: - Pediatric skin test - Acne-prone skin usage test - Primary skin irritation test - Dermatologist test, sensitive skin irritation test, hypoallergenic test, non-comedogenic test Volume, price, packaging, shelf life: - Volume: 80ml (good value for money) - Packaging: Hygienic tube type; can be cut open to use all remaining product (store cut tube in a ziplock bag) - Shelf life: 12 months after opening - Paper case: FSC certified (recyclable, sustainable eco-friendly material) - Packaging: Eco-friendly paper cushioning and COSRX brand-specific eco-friendly delivery box I wish it came in a larger size (100ml-200ml). It would be great if COSRX could produce a large volume (1000ml) body emulsion with the same CeCoFa combination, perhaps with a coconut vanilla scent. Perfect combination tip: Hyaluronic acid (ultra-low, low, medium, high molecular weight) hydrating toner × Vitamin C serum/ampoule or retinol cream × COSRX CeCoFa Moisturizing Cream (mix with a small amount of Vaseline Pure Jelly). For seasonal changes or winter only, finish with a small amount of facial oil. - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 30, 2025
Texture & Formula: The formula isn't thick or rich, but has a pleasantly moisturizing and smooth consistency. Absorption: It absorbs quickly into the skin while maintaining adequate hydration. This makes it great for daily use, morning or night. I especially liked that it doesn't cause pilling when applied before makeup. As a cream that provides both hydration and moisture, it leaves a subtle glow after application, giving the skin a healthy, radiant appearance. I typically struggle with deep dryness, and often multiple layers of cream don't solve the issue. Some moisturizing products even caused blemishes. However, this product not only helps calm the skin but also resolved over 70% of my deep dryness issues. Scent: The scent is nearly undetectable, making it suitable for those with fragrance sensitivities. For those with extremely dry or dehydrated skin, this product alone might not be sufficient to address severe dryness. The cream imparts a subtle glow and absorbs well, making it ideal to use before applying makeup. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 30, 2025
I thought the '200-hour cream' would be very thick and heavy, but it wasn't like that at all. It actually absorbs quite quickly! After cleansing, I applied only the same brand's peptide serum and then this cream. The next morning, my skin remained hydrated without any dryness! Also, I usually get pilling around my nose as time passes, but this cream suppressed dead skin cells and provided high moisture, so there was hardly any visible pilling. It maintains skin hydration for a long time, so I recommend it for dry skin types and those who find multi-step routines bothersome! The combination of ceramide, collagen, and peptides allows for gentle barrier care. There's nothing I dislike about it! However, those with extremely oily skin might find it a bit rich. When mixed with serum, it becomes an excellent emulsion-like texture that's perfect to use before makeup!
