For my combination (oily T-zone, dry U-zone) and sensitive skin, I've been alternating between barrier creams and hydrating moisturizers as my skin barrier has been compromised due to low immunity. While I hadn't found a go-to barrier cream, I think I've finally settled on the COSRX Ceramide Moisturizer! It contains the famous trio for skin barrier repair and hydration - ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids. Even hours after application, I didn't feel any dryness at all. Whenever my skin was in poor condition, the rough texture really stressed me out. But after using this cream, I could feel an improvement - my skin texture felt noticeably softer the next morning! While the absorption is smooth and pleasant, there's a slight slippery feeling after application (which is expected for barrier creams, so it wasn't a major issue). However, given my combination skin, I did notice it felt a bit rich for me. It might be too heavy for summer use, but I think it'll work great as a daily moisturizer for the rest of the year - spring, fall, and winter! I apply it very thinly on my oily areas like the nose and forehead, focusing more on the cheeks, chin, and outer areas of the face. I'd recommend using a small amount in the morning and a more generous layer in the evening for best results! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 9, 2025
The packaging and design were decent, and it was convenient that it could stand upright. The volume felt neither too much nor too little, though it might not be the most cost-effective option. The texture was like a typical cream - not too heavy, and it applied smoothly with a moisturizing feel. However, it had a slightly oily finish that I didn't particularly like, although it did eventually absorb. The scent was close to fragrance-free. The product itself felt a bit greasy, and while it provided good hydration, I found the finish a bit overwhelming for my combination dehydrated skin with oily T-zone and visible pores. Those with similar skin types or oily skin might find it too shiny. It might be better suited for those with dry skin! Given its characteristics and pore-clogging ingredients, certain skin types could potentially experience blemishes. Those with super sensitive skin might want to avoid this product. Due to its pore-clogging ingredients and oily, slippery finish, I wouldn't particularly recommend this product for those with oily or combination dehydrated skin. Especially with summer approaching, it might only be usable in winter. Moreover, I'm not sure about its effectiveness, and the uncomfortable feeling outweighs any benefits. Personally, I'd opt for a different hydrating moisturizer. Unless you have dry skin, I'd recommend using a different product or using this one sparingly if you decide to try it. It might be slightly better for nighttime use rather than during the day. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinMay 7, 2025
This is by far my favorite product from The Hwahae Testers! It's bursting with hydration, so on those nights when I'm too lazy for a full skincare routine, I just slap on some toner and this cream, and I wake up without any deep dryness. It works wonders! For context, I have combination dehydrated skin, and if I don't layer products, my skin feels super tight in the morning. Oh, and I tried it as a pre-makeup moisturizer too - surprisingly, it gave me that coveted Inner Glow! It is a bit on the rich side... almost slippery to the touch? It didn't bother me, but if you're not combination dehydrated like me and more on the oily side, you might find it a tad uncomfortable. Give it a shot before applying makeup! Despite its name and texture suggesting it's for nighttime use, it doesn't cause pilling under makeup and leaves your skin with a beautiful, dewy finish. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 4, 2025
It's incredibly soft and moisturizing! But when I say moisturizing, it's not like a burst of hydration. It's more of a rich cream. That's why it was too heavy and greasy for my oily skin. However, my boyfriend with dry skin said his face felt perfectly balanced and velvety smooth after sleeping with it on. It seems gentle enough since my face was fine after using it. Highly recommended for those with extremely dry skin! Not so much for others though. As I mentioned before, it's very rich. It feels more like it's moisturizing with a slight oiliness rather than hydration, making it difficult for oily skin types to use. While it spreads relatively well, it's thick and a bit slippery. It also seems to take some time to absorb, so I wouldn't recommend applying it in the morning before drying your hair. It's better suited for nighttime use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 30, 2025
I applied for The Hwahae Testers program and was thrilled to learn I'd been selected while enjoying a trip abroad. As soon as I returned home, I used the product for a week and here's my review. For context, I'm a man with combination dehydrated skin. First off, after my trip, my skin became slightly sensitive with some blemishes appearing - perhaps due to the change in water. Luckily, this cream contains panthenol and cica, which seemed perfect for repairing a damaged skin barrier. I've always been a fan of COSRX products, but I was a bit nervous about trying a new cream since they can easily upset your skin if they don't suit you. However, I was pleasantly surprised! The texture is fantastic - much better than other barrier creams I've used like La*os*e or Et*de. It has a light consistency that absorbs well. After application, my skin didn't feel heavy, the oil level was just right, and it provided good hydration. Most importantly, it excelled in its role as a barrier cream. Before use, my skin was slightly red with some blemishes, but after applying it and sleeping, I woke up to noticeably calmer skin. It exceeded my expectations, and over the week, I could really feel my skin barrier improving. The only minor drawback I experienced during the week of use was that after application, my hands felt quite slippery and greasy. It seems this might be a trade-off for the cream's good absorption into the skin. Other than that, I had no complaints. While the product itself is quite hydrating, you'll likely get even better results if you apply it over a solid base skincare routine. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 29, 2025
Incredibly moisturizing yet amazingly lightweight... Is this even allowed, COSRX? It's that time of year when the seasons change and our skin barrier is at risk, right? Wow, the moment I applied this cream, the way it adhered to my skin was insane! LOL None of that suffocating feeling you often get with heavy ceramide creams. When you apply it, it sinks in while creating a slight protective layer on the skin's surface. But here's the kicker - it's not greasy at all, more like a bouncy, elastic feeling. For my sensitive combination dehydrated skin, this caused absolutely no blemishes. I think it's the panthenol and hyaluronic acid combo that completely eliminates that deep dryness, and I was genuinely touched to find my skin still moisturized without any tightness in the morning... The scent is practically non-existent, so no worries there. It's even passed acne-prone skin tests, so you can use it with confidence. They say it's even suitable for babies! Oh, and usually when I apply cream incorrectly, my sunscreen pills, but that hasn't happened once with this! If you have oily skin, you might think the ceramide feeling is a bit like bacon grease because it's slippery, haha! (But it's not! Give it a chance because, after all, it's COSRX~!!) For extra dry areas like around the eyes or mouth, apply another layer for super hydration! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinApr 28, 2025
I've been using this product every morning and evening for about 10 days! I have dry skin that's prone to occasional blemishes. At first, I wasn't impressed with the texture - it wasn't particularly rich or refreshing. It felt like it was forming a thin layer on my skin, and I worried it wasn't absorbing well. But the next morning, I could visibly see that my skin had calmed down! Usually, I get at least one new blemish, but surprisingly, even my existing blemishes seemed to settle down. I thought it might be a coincidence, so I continued using it daily, and I've been using it without any major skin issues since! I used to apply a regenerating cream as the last step of my evening skincare routine, but I often felt it lacked hydration. Replacing it with this COSRX product has been so satisfying! As someone with dry skin, I use this cream after a hydrating essence, and it feels like it creates a moisture-sealing layer that lasts for a long time! • My skin tends to break out with products that are too rich, but this one doesn't cause any blemishes, which suggests it's more hydrating than oily. • Even when my skin gets very dry, I don't wake up with new blemishes the next morning! • It works well under makeup without any pilling! On lazy days, I've even applied this right after toner and followed with a quick pat of powder foundation, and it worked fine! (I always worry about flaking due to my dry skin) Even though it's summer now, I'm planning to stop using my heavy regenerating cream and stick with this COSRX product. From cleansing to skincare, I'm loving every product in their line! There's a slight slippery feeling after application, but it's not a big issue as it slowly absorbs into the skin! I think it's better to apply two thin layers rather than one thick layer - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 25, 2025
Skin type: I have super sensitive skin that often experiences mysterious skin irritations that come and go. My combination skin is dry everywhere except for the nose area and T-zone. Scent and texture: This product is fragrance-free. The texture is like an emulsion - not as thick as a cream, but still maintains its shape. What I liked: 1. It absorbs well. 2. The ingredients are great. 3. Thanks to its good absorption, a little goes a long way for the whole face. 4. I applied this after toner and didn't experience any deep dryness. 5. The ingredients are really good. 6. It seems like it would provide even better hydration during fall and winter. Areas for improvement: 1. I've only changed to this product recently, but I've noticed some minor blemishes that resemble skin irritation. 2. It's a bit too rich, leaving my skin feeling slippery after application. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 24, 2025
My skin type is combination dehydrated, sensitive, and prone to blemishes. I've used this product for exactly a week. (It's a small detail, but I appreciated that the product pamphlet came with it when I won, making it easy to understand what kind of product it is.) - The CE-Collagen combo! It's great that they're combined, as I've learned it's best to use them together. I always apply a barrier cream for night care since my skin barrier is weak, and this has helped improve my skin condition. My skin felt comfortable when applied. - Many barrier creams have heavy textures that are difficult for oily skin to use, but this product has a thin consistency and I think it balances hydration and richness well. (It's less thick than an ointment but heavier than a moisturizer.) It has a hydrating feel, so it spreads smoothly on the skin. Compared to my go-to La Roche-P B5+, it applies better and feels less heavy. So if you find La Roche too heavy and are looking for a lighter alternative, I'd recommend this cream. - I tend to have severe deep dryness, but I didn't feel any dryness when using this. I recommend it for those who prioritize hydration. It seemed suitable for use from fall to winter, and I think it could be a great daily cream for those with dry skin. - It's fragrance-free. As I have sensitive skin, I don't like basic skincare products with fragrances, so I actually preferred this unscented version. - The tube packaging! As someone with blemish-prone skin, I'm particular about product hygiene, so I appreciate that the tube format allows for hygienic use. 1. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, it started to feel a bit oily and heavy as the weather got warmer recently. While I didn't experience any blemishes during use, there was a slight... slipperiness? after absorption. It doesn't feel sticky, but there's a sensation of having applied something. It's not a fresh finish, so this aspect might be hit or miss for some. If you're prone to blemishes with even slight oiliness, keep this in mind. Still, I found it okay to use for evening care until the change of seasons. 2. Like most barrier creams, it's probably too much to use before makeup due to its texture and finish. 1. The pamphlet mentioned it works well with COSRX's Vitamin C ampoule and Peptide Booster Skin, and it really did pair nicely when used together. It felt like the cream soothed any skin irritation caused by applying pure Vitamin C. 2. Don't apply too much at once. Absorb a small amount first, and if needed, apply and absorb a bit more! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinApr 23, 2025
I've been using this product since April 16th and wanted to share my review up to the 22nd. As someone in their early 50s with dry skin, I've tried numerous hydrating creams. When I applied this moisturizer, I immediately felt the ceramide ingredients. It gave a slight glow and spread smoothly. As I patted it in, my skin felt deeply hydrated. While it has a rich texture, it's not excessive. I found applying it twice, with a short interval between, provided long-lasting moisture. I've been applying it before my morning workouts, and I'm satisfied with how the hydration lasts throughout my exercise routine. There's a slight slippery feeling when applying, but it's fine once you pat it in to absorb. For those with extremely dry skin, layering is essential. Try mixing in a drop or two of facial oil for longer-lasting hydration.
