As someone with slightly sensitive and dry skin, I applied it to my hands and neck first before putting it on my face. It's more rich than I expected, giving a dewy finish. I guess that's because it's a ceramide cream. The richness might be hit or miss for some, but I personally love the dewy feel. It suits my dry skin perfectly. Since it's not quite summer yet, my skin tends to be a bit dry. I'm also a restless sleeper, so I often wake up feeling a bit parched. To combat this, I've been applying a small amount of a thicker cream around my eyes and mouth where I feel the most dryness, and it works great! If your skin is less dry than mine, this cream alone might be sufficient. I didn't experience any blemishes or irritation. Since my face is quite dry, using this alone felt a bit insufficient. Also, among all the creams I own, this one feels the richest. It's not that I dislike it, but I'd recommend using it only at night. I wouldn't recommend using this during the day before makeup as it's a bit too rich. Even if you're not wearing makeup and just applying sunscreen, it can make your skin look too shiny when combined with sunscreen. I'd suggest using a tiny amount or applying it before bed. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinApr 25, 2025
I was lucky enough to be selected for the Hwahae Testers program and got to try this product. First off, I have extremely dry skin, especially around my nose where dead skin cells are always present. My skin isn't particularly sensitive though. The first advantage is the great value for money - the product is surprisingly large. Secondly, as I mentioned, I struggle with flaky skin around my nose even in summer. After focusing on applying it there, I noticed the dead skin cells actually peeling off! It's also worth noting that to reduce hyperpigmentation, hydration is just as important as brightening. I had quite a bit of discoloration around my nose from picking at blemishes and squeezing blackheads, but this product helped with that too. While I did use it in conjunction with a brightening serum, I saw much better results than when using the serum alone. Lastly, it seems to be quite gentle. While my skin isn't particularly sensitive, my sister's is, and she found it suitable for her super sensitive skin. Of course, everyone's skin is different, but I think most people should be able to use this product without issues. The biggest drawback is that it feels quite rich on the skin. I personally dislike when products leave my face feeling greasy, and this one doesn't absorb particularly well. If you do use it, I'd recommend applying it before bed. I wouldn't suggest using it in the warmer weather we're having now - it might feel a bit heavy on your skin. The combination of the rich texture and your skin's natural oils might prevent you from seeing the full benefits of the product. I'd recommend using this product in seasons other than summer. Have you heard of the retinol cream from COSRX? I had been using it even before I received this product. When used together, the results are incredible. Every night, I apply a pore-refining serum first, then this product, followed by the retinol cream. I highly recommend this routine. It helps maintain hydration while also reducing the appearance of uneven skin texture. If you happen to have both this product and a retinol cream, I strongly suggest trying them together. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 25, 2025
The Hwahae Testers Review: - Absorption: The texture is like a mix of moisturizing cream and gel cream. Not sticky at all, and a small amount spreads evenly across the entire face. - Soothing: Although I've only used it for about 2 weeks and haven't seen dramatic effects, there's a slight reduction in redness and my skin barrier feels a bit stronger compared to when I don't use this cream. No irritation at all when applied. - Hydration: Stays moisturizing from evening application until morning. Recommended for dry skin. Compared to La Roche-Posay B5+, COSRX is slightly less effective in skin barrier recovery. Very rich in oils. Almost no hydration, feels like applying pure oil. As someone with oily skin, the oil and moisture balance didn't work for me. In the morning, my face was either shiny with excess oil or I'd developed small blemishes. For oily skin types, use blotting paper after applying the cream. Blotting excess oil prevented blemishes from forming. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 17, 2025
As someone with sensitive, combination dehydrated skin, here's my review after two weeks of use. First off, the texture has a nice hydrating feel, spreading smoothly and easily. I initially thought it might be a thick cream, but it's actually more of a hydrating moisturizer consistency. I love that it applies without any irritation - the texture is really impressive. It's perfect for my combination dehydrated skin. I've set aside my other creams and have been using this one exclusively lately. It doesn't pill under makeup, doesn't cause any blemishes, and is gentle enough for both morning and evening use. I'll likely repurchase this once I've finished the jar. The formula feels quite hydrating, so those with extremely dry skin might find it lacks enough richness. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 16, 2025
As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I sometimes experience dry patches on my face, so a moisturizing cream has proven more useful than I expected. For a hydrating cream, the texture isn't overly rich, which is nice. When applied to the face, you can feel a bit of that rich moisture typical of a hydrating product. It's an excellent choice for those with dry skin. I'm pleased that it didn't cause any blemishes, and the ingredient list is impressive. The 80ml size is decent, and if the price were a bit lower, I'd definitely consider purchasing it when the winter dryness really kicks in. It's great that it doesn't cause any deep dryness and can even help with barrier care. However, as time passes, I notice the oil slowly creeping up, which feels a bit heavy for my skin type. The downside is that it's richer than I anticipated. Given my combination dehydrated skin, I might find it challenging to use during warmer seasons when my skin tends to get oilier due to its rich texture. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinApr 11, 2025
✓ Skin type - Oily T-zone + Combination dehydrated U-zone with severe redness • Texture - Not too thick, but has a moderately fluid consistency that spreads smoothly • Absorption - Absorbs quickly even when layered multiple times • Hydration - Effectively addresses deep dryness in combination dehydrated skin, providing excellent moisture that completely eliminates seasonal itchiness • Soothing effect - Contains gentle ingredients without harmful substances, causing no irritation. It helps reduce redness that occurs after cleansing • Finish - Leaves skin feeling firm without stickiness • Makeup compatibility - Surprisingly good with cushion foundations or sunscreens that double as foundation! During seasonal changes when makeup tends to separate, applying a thin layer of this product before base makeup prevents patchiness or pilling, resulting in a seamless, long-lasting finish • Oiliness - While not sticky, there's a slight shine and oiliness which is disappointing. For those with combination oily skin like mine, it might only be suitable for use during seasonal transitions
