As expected from a barrier cream, it provides ample hydration without being overly rich, making it perfect for nighttime care even in summer. Those with oily skin might find it a bit rich, but considering it's a barrier cream, it should be acceptable. This product works hard to maintain your skin's oil and moisture balance. It absorbs well into the skin, leaving it feeling nourished without being sticky. It's especially suitable for combination dehydrated skin types looking to strengthen their skin barrier. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 20, 2025
Absorbs beautifully and tackles deep dryness after application Absorbs well without feeling sticky, which is great Leaves skin with a dewy glow, possibly due to its rich formula Avoid applying near eyes as it may cause a tingling sensation if it gets in Using too much can lead to excessive shine Recommend giving it a try - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 10, 2025
Skin type: Combination Texture: Slightly rich + moisturizing -> absorbs well, applies smoothly My skin barrier was damaged and I had no elasticity, but after applying this before bed and waking up, my skin feels so firm and my texture completely disappears! It's simply my holy grail. Since it's fragrance-free, those who dislike cosmetic scents should be able to use it comfortably. I wouldn't recommend using it before applying makeup as it feels a bit heavy. It's also slightly rich, so I suggest using it before bed rather than in the morning. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 9, 2025
For my combination (oily T-zone, dry U-zone) and sensitive skin, I've been alternating between barrier creams and hydrating moisturizers as my skin barrier has been compromised due to low immunity. While I hadn't found a go-to barrier cream, I think I've finally settled on the COSRX Ceramide Moisturizer! It contains the famous trio for skin barrier repair and hydration - ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids. Even hours after application, I didn't feel any dryness at all. Whenever my skin was in poor condition, the rough texture really stressed me out. But after using this cream, I could feel an improvement - my skin texture felt noticeably softer the next morning! While the absorption is smooth and pleasant, there's a slight slippery feeling after application (which is expected for barrier creams, so it wasn't a major issue). However, given my combination skin, I did notice it felt a bit rich for me. It might be too heavy for summer use, but I think it'll work great as a daily moisturizer for the rest of the year - spring, fall, and winter! I apply it very thinly on my oily areas like the nose and forehead, focusing more on the cheeks, chin, and outer areas of the face. I'd recommend using a small amount in the morning and a more generous layer in the evening for best results! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinMay 9, 2025
I recommend this for those who find winter barrier creams too heavy but gel creams not quite enough. It's perfect when applied thinly as a serum to boost hydration. I think I would have appreciated it even more if I'd received it during colder weather. If you apply a bit too much, it can feel slightly oily. The tube packaging makes it easy to control the amount and is hygienic, plus it stands upright for convenience. The only downside is that it can get a bit oily by the afternoon! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 9, 2025
The packaging and design were decent, and it was convenient that it could stand upright. The volume felt neither too much nor too little, though it might not be the most cost-effective option. The texture was like a typical cream - not too heavy, and it applied smoothly with a moisturizing feel. However, it had a slightly oily finish that I didn't particularly like, although it did eventually absorb. The scent was close to fragrance-free. The product itself felt a bit greasy, and while it provided good hydration, I found the finish a bit overwhelming for my combination dehydrated skin with oily T-zone and visible pores. Those with similar skin types or oily skin might find it too shiny. It might be better suited for those with dry skin! Given its characteristics and pore-clogging ingredients, certain skin types could potentially experience blemishes. Those with super sensitive skin might want to avoid this product. Due to its pore-clogging ingredients and oily, slippery finish, I wouldn't particularly recommend this product for those with oily or combination dehydrated skin. Especially with summer approaching, it might only be usable in winter. Moreover, I'm not sure about its effectiveness, and the uncomfortable feeling outweighs any benefits. Personally, I'd opt for a different hydrating moisturizer. Unless you have dry skin, I'd recommend using a different product or using this one sparingly if you decide to try it. It might be slightly better for nighttime use rather than during the day. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinMay 9, 2025
COSRX is a brand many of you already know and trust for their quality products. Their reputation precedes them, which is why people feel confident using their offerings. They've now launched a moisturizer with a ceramide-infused emulsion formula designed to protect your skin barrier! The texture is more of a soft, jelly-like emulsion rather than a thick cream. It's formulated for dry and sensitive skin types, so it's denser and richer than a light hydrating formula. Although I'm not a fan of sticky, oily textures and wasn't thrilled at first, it's actually not overly greasy! It feels like it's creating a protective barrier, sealing in previous skincare steps. I use it generously as the final step at night, and in the morning on dry, sensitive areas before makeup. As someone with super sensitive skin that reacts to everything, I was hesitant to try new skincare. But after wearing heavy makeup for long hours over two weeks, my skin became red, inflamed, and painful. I simplified my routine to just toner, hydrating ampoule, and a generous layer of this moisturizer before bed. I was pleasantly surprised to see visible calming effects! While it might be too rich for daily use on oily skin, especially in summer, I highly recommend it for winter and transitional seasons. As someone who usually sticks to tried-and-true products, I'd actually consider repurchasing this one! It does feel a bit rich and leaves a slight sheen on the skin, but it's more comfortable than older, heavy formulas that felt like they were suffocating your skin with oil. It provides just the right amount of protection. One downside is that the English-only product information on the packaging isn't very easy to read. On days when your skin feels irritated and painful, try simplifying your routine with gentle, hydrating products. Finish with a generous layer of this emulsion cream to help soothe your skin! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 9, 2025
The hydration is truly top-notch! I usually have deep dryness, and when I use moisturizing creams or oily skincare products, I tend to get blemishes. My routine typically involves applying water-based toner multiple times, followed by hydrating or pore-refining serums, and then a thin layer of cream. With most moisturizers, my skin feels dry, but if I use something too rich, it feels like there's a heavy layer on my face, which I dislike. This product, however, has the refreshing feel of a hydrating cream with excellent absorption, yet its moisturizing power is incredible. On lazy mornings when I'm off work, just applying thin layers of this multiple times works wonders. It's also fragrance-free, glides on smoothly, and leaves my skin feeling pleasantly firm. It's not so much a drawback, but those with oily or combination skin should apply it sparingly on oily areas. The first day, I thoughtlessly applied a thick layer, which took a while to absorb and made my face feel like it was getting greasy faster than usual. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 9, 2025
Lately, my skin's been looking dull due to lack of sleep! Luckily, I won this cream and immediately switched to it. I have sensitive, blemish-prone skin, and this cream was absolutely amazing. It's not completely oil-free, but it has great hydration and just the right amount of richness that works perfectly for me! The texture is fantastic, and it absorbs well into the skin. Once I finish my current cream, I definitely want to purchase this one. It's truly wonderful! There is a bit of richness to it, but it's just right for me. The only downside is that it's a bit on the pricey side. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinMay 9, 2025
Texture: I expected a light, refreshing feel due to its lightweight formula, but there was a slight richness to it! It might be best to apply a thin layer with a small amount, as it can feel a bit rich if you use too much. Hydration: The hydration was fantastic! I have combination dehydrated skin, so my makeup sometimes flakes or separates even when my skin feels oily, but with this, my makeup applied beautifully! It absorbed quickly, and there was no pilling even when I applied a mineral sunscreen on top. For the current hot weather, it might feel a bit rich, so I'd recommend those with oily skin to apply it sparingly or only on dry areas! This cream would be great for transitional seasons or winter rather than summer! If you layer it thinly multiple times, you'll definitely feel the hydration more intensely.
