Perfect for summer use! It leaves your skin feeling fresh after cleansing, and I love the subtle tea tree scent that wafts through. No real downsides, except I wish they'd update the packaging design. Other than that, it's great all around! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 2, 2024
The SAEM Cleansing Water I've got three varieties - Tea Tree, Green Tea, and White Tea - that I rotate through. Lately, I've been sticking to just the Tea Tree and Green Tea. To be honest, I've been loyal to The SAEM Cleansing Water since I first started wearing makeup. I can't recall trying other products, but even if I did, this one must have been better since I'm still using it. First off, it's gentle on the skin. The scent is pleasantly subtle, which I love. It's also effective at cleansing. It does a great job removing BB cream and eyeshadow. It doesn't completely remove waterproof eyeliner or makeup from the waterline, leaving some residue behind. When used with toner pads, especially the Green Tea version, it's absolutely satisfying. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinNov 19, 2023
You can get a great deal with the 1+1 offer. It's gentle on the skin with almost no irritation, and has a subtle tea tree scent. Perhaps because it's so gentle, the cleansing effectiveness seems a bit weak. You need to be thorough during your second cleanse. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAug 17, 2023
The scent isn't overpowering, and it's reasonably priced for everyday use. When you soak a cotton pad and wipe your face, you can see the day's grime coming off... While it doesn't give that squeaky-clean feeling, it's fine since I use it before washing my face with a cleansing foam anyway. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJun 19, 2022
It's truly amazing... After cleansing, my skin feels so refreshed. Personally, I love the scent - it's not overpowering at all. It has a slightly strong tea tree aroma? If you're not a fan of tea tree, I'd recommend the green tea version! There's a good reason why this product is so popular... However, don't rely on this alone for cleansing... Make sure to follow up with a second cleanser. Using this by itself will definitely lead to blemishes - Hwahae UserNormal SkinApr 23, 2022
Great value for money. The tea tree scent is refreshing and pleasant (though the green tea version isn't as nice). On days when I only use sunscreen, I use this cleansing water for double cleansing as cleansing oils feel too heavy. I've gone through 4 bottles. It's about 13 won per ml based on The Saem's official website pricing. Contains PEG and phenoxyethanol, so avoid if you're sensitive to these ingredients. Can feel drying if left on the skin for too long (e.g., when thoroughly cleaning makeup sponges). May cause some eye irritation. Many people use cleansing water with cotton pads, but that's not gentle and can double the irritation to your skin. It's better to use a foaming pump bottle. About 3 pumps is enough without dripping. Great for cleaning makeup sponges too. When cleaning with cleansing foam or other detergents, you might worry about leftover residue, but with cleansing water, it rinses off well and removes stains effectively. Wet the sponge, squeeze out excess water, then apply about 3 pumps of cleansing water. Let it soak in, gently massage, then rinse thoroughly in water for best results. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 13, 2022
This cleanser does a great job removing makeup. It effectively removes eyeshadow glitter and eyeliner - everything comes off cleanly! The scent isn't overpowering, so it's pleasant to use. The moisturizing formula makes it easy to cleanse without discomfort. However, your skin may feel dry shortly after cleansing, so it's best to follow up with your second cleanse quickly. I have sensitive skin, so I haven't tried it on full-face makeup yet, but judging by how well it removes makeup around the eyes, I think it would work well on foundation or cushion too! It doesn't remove waterproof mascara or dual-phase products very effectively. You need to soak a cotton pad thoroughly and really work at it to get those off. For stubborn areas, try soaking a cotton swab in the cleansing water and gently rubbing - it helps remove any remaining traces of makeup. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 11, 2022
As my first foray into cleansing waters, this one was truly impressive. The tea tree scent is captivating, and it effectively removes makeup, leaving my skin clean and fresh. The fact that I can't think of any downsides probably means it worked well for me overall. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 3, 2021
Variety of sizes available (large size comes with a pump dispenser) Easy to check remaining product Sturdy bottle and cap (no leakage) Frequently on sale or in value sets (great bang for your buck!) Gentle and refreshing cleansing This is an honest review after using up the entire bottle User experience (Skin type: combination dehydrated, prone to 1-2 blemishes, with some marks) Subtle tea tree scent with a fresh, hydrating finish Though it claims no additional cleansing or just water rinse is needed, On days with light makeup, I used this for first cleanse, Followed by water rinse and exfoliating toner, which still showed some residue Effectively removes sunscreen and brightening moisturizer Seems to provide some gentle exfoliation Great for light cleansing While I didn't find any major drawbacks, For heavy or point makeup, It's better to use a dedicated makeup remover or another cleansing product Saturate a cotton pad with plenty of cleansing water Let it sit on your skin briefly before wiping for better results - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 26, 2021
(Usage experience) My skin tends to be super sensitive, but I didn't experience any blemishes at all. I used it by lightly soaking a cotton pad after applying makeup, and it was gentle without causing any skin irritation! I loved how lightweight and hydrating it felt! (Scent) The fragrance wasn't overpowering, and I detected a pleasant aroma (notes of cica, pine, and a cool, refreshing scent). Those with extremely dry skin might find it a bit drying after use. I recommend applying it with a cotton pad!
