✨Excellent cleansing power I gently wiped with a cotton pad, and it effectively removed pen liner, lipstick, tint, and foundation. Most makeup comes off easily without vigorous rubbing. It cleanses almost everything thoroughly, except for waterproof or particularly stubborn products. Pia gel liner required a bit more pressure to remove, and I used a separate mascara remover for my waterproof mascara as it didn't come off easily. ✨Fresh feel It flows like water without any greasy or oily sensation. After use, it leaves the skin feeling moisturized and incredibly fresh. It seems ideal for oily skin types. It's convenient as no additional cleansing is needed afterwards. (However, a light rinse with water might still be beneficial.) ✨Value for money Considering its cleansing effectiveness, I think it's reasonably priced. You can get it for less than 5,000 won during sales, and the 500ml large size is available for as low as 6,800 won on Naver, making it quite cost-effective. ✨For sensitive skin While there are two ingredients that sensitive skin types should be cautious about, I've never experienced any blemishes, stinging, or irritation while using it. • Scent The scent is clean and refreshing, but the alcohol smell is a bit strong. Personally, I prefer the scent of the Green Tea Cleansing Water over this Tea Tree version. • Eye irritation Despite passing eye safety tests, there's a slight stinging sensation when wiping around the eyes. When cleansing the eye area, use a lightly dampened cotton pad rather than a fully saturated one. Recommended for those with oily skin! For those with super sensitive skin, I'd suggest the Green Tea Cleansing Water over this product. The Green Tea version has fewer potentially irritating ingredients and feels gentler overall. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 15, 2020
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers: I have sensitive, acne-prone skin. (My skin is very sensitive and reacts quickly if a product doesn't suit me) What I love about this cleansing water is that it has a refreshing finish without leaving any greasy or sticky residue. As someone with combination and sensitive skin, I really dislike products that leave a greasy feeling as it can irritate my skin. This product's watery texture is perfect and leaves my skin feeling great! The cleansing effectiveness is also excellent! It easily removes most face makeup, eyeshadow, eyebrow products, and eyeliner without any irritation. This makes removing makeup effortless and worry-free. It can remove mascara too, but for waterproof or long-lasting formulas, I'd recommend using a separate eye makeup remover. As you can see in the photo, my skin is quite sensitive, so when I tried to remove mascara, my skin became a bit red. (The red line next to the mascara in the photo isn't leftover product, it's just my sensitive skin reacting to the eyebrow product I applied directly on bare skin for testing.) Despite my sensitive skin, this cleansing water didn't cause any irritation or adverse reactions! The value for money is fantastic, so you can use it generously without worry! The bottle is a good size, and it's already affordable, but during sale periods, you can get it even cheaper. I'll definitely be repurchasing this often. As expected from a tea tree cleansing water, it has a strong tea tree scent with a hint of alcohol. It didn't bother me, but if you're sensitive to fragrances, you might want to test it before buying. Even though I'm usually sensitive to scents, this one didn't bother me much! I noticed that the ingredients list includes PEGs. Those with sensitive skin should keep this in mind. For waterproof mascara and other long-lasting eye makeup, make sure to use a dedicated eye makeup remover along with this cleansing water! As it's a cleansing water, it can be difficult to remove stubborn mascara thoroughly and gently on its own. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinFeb 7, 2019
When I used to have occasional acne breakouts on my forehead and cheeks, I heard this product contained tea tree extract, so I used it daily without any issues. The price was affordable, allowing me to use it generously without worry. I'd soak a cotton pad and use it to remove makeup - it cleansed effectively without causing much irritation. The cleansing effectiveness was decent, and I enjoyed its refreshing feel. It lasted longer than expected, and I sometimes bought it during 1+1 promotions, which made it a good value. While it does have a tea tree scent, occasionally the alcohol smell can be quite strong. I'd recommend using a separate lip and eye makeup remover for those areas. Other than that, I didn't experience any major discomfort. Keep an eye out for sales or buy-one-get-one-free deals! It's excellent value for money! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJan 1, 2019
It cleanses thoroughly and leaves you feeling refreshed after washing! I didn't feel any residue either. I stocked up on three bottles during a sale, and I think it's the best value for money. I usually use cleansing water and make sure to wash my face thoroughly, and after cleansing with this, my skin feels squeaky clean, which makes me feel even more refreshed! I'm almost done with one bottle, and I'm looking forward to trying the other two. Since using this cleansing water, I've noticed fewer skin breakouts, and the acne on my chin and between my eyebrows has calmed down. My nose has become cleaner too. One slight drawback is the alcohol scent that comes through, which makes it feel a bit harsh. If I apply too much pressure while cleansing or use too much product, my skin becomes flushed, and I feel a stinging or burning sensation when applying toner and emulsion after washing. I personally wouldn't recommend it for those with sensitive skin. I recommend folding the cotton pad in half, spritzing it a few times with the product, then unfolding it and gently wiping the areas you want to cleanse. Follow up with a foaming cleanser for a second cleanse, then care for your skin with toner and emulsion. This method feels even more thorough. If you have very sensitive skin, I suggest trying this approach! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 17, 2018
It removes makeup gently and effectively. Great for beginners or those who prefer a simple routine - it's so easy to use! There's a slight alcohol scent. Those sensitive to fragrances should keep this in mind. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMar 27, 2017
It seems pretty good~ I used the Healing Tea Garden Green Tea Cleansing Water and wanted to try something a bit more refreshing, and it seems to have a similar cleansing power to the green tea but with a slight tea tree scent and a more refreshing feel. Tea tree scent? I don't really pay much attention to scents, but it could have a slightly harsh, alcohol-like aroma or sensation. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMar 16, 2017
I was told that using a foam cleanser is not good when washing your face in the morning, as it removes the protective barrier that forms on your skin during sleep. In the evening, after going out, foam cleansing is more appropriate! So I started using a water-type cleanser in the morning, as I thought it would save time and help improve my skin - and I really recommend it!!!!! It's non-irritating, refreshing, and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. I'm glad I bought the 1+1 deal when purchasing it - and surprisingly, even though it's a water-type, it lasts a long time! I've been using one bottle for 4-5 months. As for the downside, if there is one, the scent is slightly like disinfectant. However, if you're not sensitive to scents, it's a smell that's easy to tolerate. If you use the famous gentle Japanese makeup cotton pads from Shiseido, the cotton won't absorb the product and will release a lot, so you can cleanse gently with just a small amount. I really, truly recommend this!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 14, 2017
Good value. Affordable price when on sale, similar properties to Bioderma. Aww, that's a shame. It gets easily upset by the alcohol content, and as soon as I opened the lid, the alcohol smell was strong. I was hoping it wouldn't happen, but it did get upset. I didn't use it and it went back to normal right away. I envy those who it suits well. Cosmetics with detectable alcohol odor are not recommended if you experience skin issues. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 23, 2016
It's so refreshing and wipes off really well!! It's also affordable and wipes off easily haha The fact that you can choose based on skin type is good, and the volume is a lot, so it's just good. Highly recommended 👍👍 The only disappointing thing was that it has a bit of an alcohol smell? Other than that, there doesn't seem to be anything else. If you soak a cotton pad and let the product dissolve for about 3 seconds and then wipe it off, it removes even better 😉 - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJan 13, 2016
I can see why this product is so popular. Tea tree is suitable for oily skin. It cleanses well and is very convenient. The smell is like alcohol? Tea tree? The smell is a bit unpleasant. If you use it a lot for cleansing, it runs out really quickly. For lips and eyes, it's better to use a dedicated makeup remover. It does cleanse sufficiently, but sometimes it doesn't remove mascara and the like. Don't be stingy with the cotton pads. Soak them well, then gently wipe away the makeup while dissolving it.
