A totally reliable product, great for oily skin. It has a fresh and powdery feel. Cleansing effectiveness is moderate to good. I'm using it generously, though it might cause irritation for some. Be careful, it contains PEG ingredients that can really sting if they get in your eyes. I found it convenient to refill an empty container and use it like cleansing pads. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 20, 2022
I alternate between this and the green tea cleansing water from the same line, but this one feels more refreshing. It's also quite invigorating. Plus, it's really affordable! If it gets in your eyes, it stings much more intensely than the green tea version. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinApr 23, 2022
Great value for money. The tea tree scent is refreshing and pleasant (though the green tea version isn't as nice). On days when I only use sunscreen, I use this cleansing water for double cleansing as cleansing oils feel too heavy. I've gone through 4 bottles. It's about 13 won per ml based on The Saem's official website pricing. Contains PEG and phenoxyethanol, so avoid if you're sensitive to these ingredients. Can feel drying if left on the skin for too long (e.g., when thoroughly cleaning makeup sponges). May cause some eye irritation. Many people use cleansing water with cotton pads, but that's not gentle and can double the irritation to your skin. It's better to use a foaming pump bottle. About 3 pumps is enough without dripping. Great for cleaning makeup sponges too. When cleaning with cleansing foam or other detergents, you might worry about leftover residue, but with cleansing water, it rinses off well and removes stains effectively. Wet the sponge, squeeze out excess water, then apply about 3 pumps of cleansing water. Let it soak in, gently massage, then rinse thoroughly in water for best results. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinAug 18, 2021
It's gentle and seems to remove makeup better than other cleansing waters When removing eye makeup, it stings a bit if it gets into your eyes - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 22, 2020
Pros: It's affordable and offers great value for money. It removes makeup quite effectively and has a pleasant scent. Cons: It stings badly if it gets in your eyes and makes my skin feel a bit sensitive. After using it, I always need to follow up with a cleansing foam to feel completely refreshed. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinSep 18, 2020
This product offers the best value for money compared to the pricier Bioderma options. I used it without any major blemishes. It's a bit disappointing that the ingredients are harsh. My eyes get red and sore when I use it. It's great for wiping away excess oil when your skin is particularly oily. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 17, 2020
✨Excellent cleansing power I gently wiped with a cotton pad, and it effectively removed pen liner, lipstick, tint, and foundation. Most makeup comes off easily without vigorous rubbing. It cleanses almost everything thoroughly, except for waterproof or particularly stubborn products. Pia gel liner required a bit more pressure to remove, and I used a separate mascara remover for my waterproof mascara as it didn't come off easily. ✨Fresh feel It flows like water without any greasy or oily sensation. After use, it leaves the skin feeling moisturized and incredibly fresh. It seems ideal for oily skin types. It's convenient as no additional cleansing is needed afterwards. (However, a light rinse with water might still be beneficial.) ✨Value for money Considering its cleansing effectiveness, I think it's reasonably priced. You can get it for less than 5,000 won during sales, and the 500ml large size is available for as low as 6,800 won on Naver, making it quite cost-effective. ✨For sensitive skin While there are two ingredients that sensitive skin types should be cautious about, I've never experienced any blemishes, stinging, or irritation while using it. • Scent The scent is clean and refreshing, but the alcohol smell is a bit strong. Personally, I prefer the scent of the Green Tea Cleansing Water over this Tea Tree version. • Eye irritation Despite passing eye safety tests, there's a slight stinging sensation when wiping around the eyes. When cleansing the eye area, use a lightly dampened cotton pad rather than a fully saturated one. Recommended for those with oily skin! For those with super sensitive skin, I'd suggest the Green Tea Cleansing Water over this product. The Green Tea version has fewer potentially irritating ingredients and feels gentler overall. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 4, 2020
I've been using the green tea line so well that I decided to try the tea tree one too. It has a slight cooling effect, which makes it perfect for summer use. That's why it's so good! Overall, it's great for the skin. However, I don't usually wear heavy eye makeup and tend to remove it with cleansing water, but I noticed this product caused a bit of tingling in my eyes. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 4, 2020
I loved the cooling effect after application. It's not oily and feels refreshing. The price isn't burdensome. It didn't cause any blemishes or skin issues. Those with super sensitive skin might want to avoid it due to the ingredients. It stings if it gets in your eyes. It seems fine for use with light makeup or when you've applied sunscreen. A double cleanse is absolutely necessary! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 16, 2020
As someone with oily skin, I've been using this product exclusively for about two bottles now, thanks to the recommendation from a cosmetics store employee who said it would suit me well! It removes makeup effectively, from stubborn mascara to shimmery eyeshadows - it takes everything off completely! However, there's one drawback to its excellent cleansing power... When removing eye makeup, it can irritate the eyes a bit, and if it gets into your eyes, it stings quite badly.
