The ultimate item for soothing! A refreshing oil that's simply the best! Moisturizing... well... Does it make blemishes suddenly come alive?! Hmm... It's just mediocre. Be careful not to get it in your eyes. After washing your face, apply the oil generously while your skin is still damp, then pat dry. Your skin will feel incredibly soft and smooth. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 22, 2018
For the final step of your skincare routine, apply a drop or two to your palm and smooth it over your face for a glossy, hydrated, and soft feeling. The scent is quite overpowering... I'm not usually sensitive to smells, but this one really makes me hold my breath for a moment! The tea tree scent is incredibly strong. But if you consider the high tea tree content, well... it's tolerable. Update to 3.2 star review: I've added an extra star. When mixed with aloe gel, it absorbs quickly without much oiliness. The next morning when I wash my face, it feels incredibly smooth and soft - the skin texture is completely revived! However, the ingredients seem a bit strong, so it might be better to use when you want to give your skin some extra care rather than daily. I bought this when my acne was at its worst, hoping to calm it down, but it seemed to make my breakouts even worse after applying it. To be honest, I've only used it about five times so I'm not entirely sure, but after getting small bumps like millet seeds on my forehead, I've been too scared to use it much. However, my skin has improved now, so I plan to try it again soon and update my review. The aloe gel I used before also seemed to cause breakouts at first, but now when I use it again, it's actually good. I think my skin just went through a rough patch for a while. Someone said if you mix it with aloe soothing gel, it becomes like a hydrating moisturizer, so I tried that... It doesn't mix well, but when applied to the face, it absorbs super well. Good stuff! Apparently, tea tree is good for menstrual cramps. They say it's beneficial to put a drop or two on your underwear. I didn't really notice much effect, but I don't usually have severe cramps to begin with. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 15, 2018
It does provide skin hydration and moisture... But I haven't really found any other advantages yet. Maybe it's because I have particularly sensitive and reactive skin. I applied the oil right after washing my face and using toner. I had high hopes because of all the positive reviews, but whether I applied too much, or the oil doesn't agree with me, or maybe the herbal ingredients don't suit my skin... it left my face looking shiny. There wasn't any itching, but after dinner, I looked in the mirror and saw that I had broken out in bumps like mosquito bites all over. I was so shocked that I immediately washed my face and tried to calm my skin. It's settled down a bit now, but I still have some blemishes. About 6 new ones appeared that weren't there before I used the oil. It didn't react this way when I applied it to the back of my hand, so I'm not sure why this happened. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 6, 2017
The best thing about it was the spreadability. As someone with a sensitive combination skin type, it did not feel greasy, cakey, or overly adhesive. Since I have oily and sensitive skin, small bumpy acne started to appear. It kept getting worse, with a lot of it showing up on my cheeks and chin, and it didn't calm down well, so I had to stop using it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 6, 2017
The fragrance is like tea tree, which I like. It gives a refreshing feeling. The absorption is fast. I purchased it through Hwahae, and the delivery was also quick. I bought this oil based on the reviews, but... I have combination, sensitive skin that lacks moisture. Lately, I suddenly started getting acne, so I tried buying this. As soon as I received it, I applied a drop or two on my neck, scalp, and face. On the first day, I applied it directly, and it seemed like the acne was getting worse. So I tried mixing it with a cream, but the acne just spread more and wouldn't calm down... My skin felt tight... I used it morning and evening for a week (I also added a drop to a face pack and tried it). In the end, I stopped using it... The acne got worse, and it doesn't seem to have any functions to disinfect or soothe acne-prone skin... The tea tree ampoule might be better... The oil... seems to aggravate the breakouts. The acne on the back of my neck got even worse, and I'm currently taking medication from a dermatologist. Well... Those with sensitive skin should try applying it to the back of the neck first. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinOct 3, 2017
The fragrance was very strong and herbal, which I liked. Apart from that, it was rather mediocre. I'm sensitive to herbs, so my skin went haywire. I got acne and bumps all over. I've used a lot of Witch's Factory products, but there weren't any major downsides, just that my skin didn't really improve either. The only issue was this one product because of the herbs - so those sensitive to herbs should be careful. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 30, 2017
The reddened skin visibly subsides in an instant. Perhaps due to the poor condition and applying it on acne scars, the blemishes don't seem to be clearing up and have even worsened. It feels a bit strong for me. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinApr 2, 2017
It had a bit of a glow, but there were no other good points. The very next day after using it, countless more blemishes popped up. I was hesitant, so I tried using it sparingly, but despite claims that it would calm down blemishes, it only made them worse. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 11, 2017
Not everything labeled as 'natural' is necessarily good. There may be something in the extraction process of the ingredients. The herbal fragrance is fine though. The calming effect was reversed, causing skin irritation... Sensitive and problematic skin, but not really 'clean' ingredients. Looks like natural or organic extracts aren't always good either. The extraction process, like how olive oil is cold-pressed, seems important. It caused redness, burning, and small bumps. I bought 2 but I'm not using them now. Natural, organic, clean ingredients? There's a lot of distrust in cosmetic ingredients these days... The extraction method used is important. The companies supplying the extracted materials seem a bit questionable. Don't be fooled by claims of gentleness. Surprisingly, a lot of people have allergies to herbs. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 3, 2017
It really absorbs quickly. When I apply it, it doesn't feel heavy and it seems to soak in right away. Normally, oils still leave a residue even after some time, but this doesn't have that. Since I like herbal scents, I thought the fragrance was nice. I think it would have been good if it matched well, but when I apply it, little bumps come up. I wonder what ingredient doesn't agree with me. 😢 It was fine when I tested it on my neck, but when I applied it all over my face, a few started popping up. When I applied it in specific areas, one more appeared. 😄
