As someone with combination skin, I was concerned about my small blemishes, which led me to try this product. I loved how it applied without any stickiness. The next morning when I looked in the mirror, I could see a noticeable improvement. The disappointing aspect is that after some initial calming, there hasn't been much progress. While it's better than before, my skin hasn't cleared up completely. When I apply makeup, my skin still reacts the same way it used to... - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 21, 2020
#Review from The Hwahae Testers# I have oily skin with severe blemishes - so bad that everyone who saw me asked why my skin was in such a terrible state. This was especially distressing since I'd never had acne or blemishes before. Then I won this product and after using it for 2 weeks, the results weren't bad. Let me break it down: 1. Texture It has a soft gel-like consistency that spreads easily despite seeming thick at first. It absorbs quickly and isn't sticky. The color is like a very watered-down red drink. 2. Scent It has that herbal/artificial smell common in many acne spot gels, very similar to the Isoi acne gel. Not recommended if you're sensitive to smells! 3. Packaging & Amount It comes in 10 separate 10ml containers, which is great for hygiene. Some people said they used up one container too quickly, but I didn't feel that way. I used one for about 2 weeks, though I might just be using less. 4. The Most Important Part - Effectiveness! Naturally, there weren't dramatic effects in the first 5 days, just very subtle improvements. (I'll attach photos - I diligently took pictures for the first three days but got lazy after that...haha) After 2 weeks of use, I'd say my skin has almost completely cleared up. If I had 100 blemishes before, now I'm down to about 5-8. In my opinion, it was quite effective. ++++Update+++ After using it for a full month, my skin has cleared up completely!! Well, not 100% perfect, but there's only so much a product can do. The last photo shows my current skin condition... First off, the price is too burdensome for students. 100,000 won is a lot of money for us students. While the total amount you get is substantial, it's just too expensive. I'll probably only use what I received from The Hwahae Testers and won't be able to purchase it again. I can't think of any other downsides. Just make sure to apply it consistently and diligently. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 21, 2020
#Review from The Hwahae Testers# I started using this product after my acne had significantly reduced due to dermatological medication. While I can't say there were dramatic effects, I did notice a slight decrease in the remaining small blemishes. It seemed to quickly calm sensitive areas when applied! Regarding the texture, I was satisfied with how smoothly it applied and how it left my skin feeling fresh without any stickiness afterwards. Overall, I was pleased with the user experience, but I'm a bit hesitant about purchasing it regularly due to its price point. There aren't any particular downsides! If I had to mention something... it would be the price range? Since the full-size product is quite expensive, I'm not sure if I'll end up buying it for regular use... In my case, I apply this product right after toner and before serum. Due to its matte finish, it can sometimes cause a bit of flaking in certain areas. So, I recommend using it along with a hydrating serum! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinFeb 21, 2020
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. I was selected as a beauty tester and received this product for free, using it morning and evening for about a week. First, my skin type is combination dehydrated skin. For the past two months, my skin hasn't been in great condition, with an increase in small bumps on my chin and unusual blemishes appearing on my chin and cheeks. The first thing I noticed when applying the product was 'it's not sticky at all!' Many ampoules tend to be sticky, but this one had almost no stickiness and absorbed quickly. This made it comfortable to apply both morning and evening. After using the product for about a week, I noticed a reduction in small blemishes. While they didn't all disappear dramatically, there was over a 50% decrease. The short usage period of a week and constant mask-wearing might have made it difficult for all the blemishes to completely vanish. Even after a week of use, I haven't finished even one of the 10 vials. At 49,000 won for 10 10ml vials, it's about 5,000 won per vial. Assuming one vial lasts about a week (which may vary depending on how much each person uses), I think it's more affordable than the sheet masks we typically use. While sheet masks are primarily for instant hydration, I usually use them when I urgently need to soothe blemishes, so I was satisfied with the value for money of this product. In summary, I'd say it's a gentle, soothing ampoule that's not burdensome to use. This product might disappoint those expecting a typical ampoule texture. It absorbs quickly, and after absorption, it feels like you haven't applied anything at all. Some might find it drier compared to other ampoules. I personally really like this finish, so I used it well, finishing with a rich moisturizer. Don't squeeze it onto your hand to apply, use it directly on your face! Apply and absorb it directly on your forehead, cheeks, and chin. I recommend using it in this order: [toner -> ampoule -> emulsion or moisturizer]. Using a richer texture for your emulsion or moisturizer should help balance out any lacking oil and moisture. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 21, 2020
1. Scent The fragrance is reminiscent of mochi - personally, I found it delightfully sweet and pleasant. 2. Texture It's neither too runny nor too thick, and it's not sticky at all, making it ideal for those with oily skin. 1. Lack of effectiveness As someone with acne-prone skin, I didn't notice any improvement in my blemishes whatsoever. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 21, 2020
- Conveniently divided into 10 small portions. The set of 10 small-sized ampoules was so handy. Perfect for travel, light to carry, and small enough to slip into your makeup pouch. What I loved most was being able to use a fresh, unexposed product each time I opened a new one! - Absorbs well. As someone with oily skin who doesn't like sticky products, I was relieved that this ampoule applied smoothly without any stickiness, leaving my skin feeling hydrated. It absorbs well, making it great to use before applying makeup in the morning! - Didn't cause any blemishes. Lately, I've been getting a lot of blemishes where my mask touches my face. I applied this product twice a day, morning and night, and it not only prevented new blemishes but also helped calm existing ones. My blemishes have significantly reduced, though I'm not sure if it's due to this ampoule or because I've been wearing masks less frequently lately. - Contains many beneficial ingredients. Checking the official website, I found it's packed with soothing ingredients like Centella Asiatica extract, panthenol, tea tree leaf extract, and Houttuynia Cordata extract. It's an ampoule I'd like to keep using consistently. I saw on the official website that it costs around 49,000 won, but I haven't seen results that justify the price yet! While it seems to have calmed my blemishes, I haven't noticed much improvement in my skin barrier. Also, the product description page showed a graph indicating reduced oil production, so I had high hopes for oil control. However, if anything, my skin's oiliness has increased rather than decreased. Due to its good absorption, I applied it first after cleansing. Since I haven't used it for long, I'll need to continue using it to see its full effects. With 10 ampoules in the set, if the price is a concern, it might be a good idea to split it with a friend. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 21, 2020
Skin type: Combination - Oily T-zone, Dry U-zone I expected this ampoule to be really sticky, but surprisingly it wasn't sticky at all. It was actually almost dry? I guess that means it absorbs well, right? The scent was slightly similar to I*'s rose serum, but it wasn't overpowering and had a subtle, pleasant fragrance. Also, there's more product than I expected, and you can apply it hygienically! I thinly applied one 10ml bottle all over my face, with a bit extra on blemish-prone areas, and it still lasted over a week. While it didn't seem to have much effect on pustular or inflammatory acne, I could clearly see a reduction in my closed comedones! I can't really speak to its long-term effectiveness since I didn't use it for very long, but I probably won't use it again. After applying, my skin felt so dry that it seemed to produce more oil, leading to more breakouts. While I can't definitively blame this product, it's a fact that I experienced more blemishes after using it. I don't have particularly sensitive skin, but seeing pimples appear in areas where I didn't usually get them makes me think this isn't great for acne-prone skin. If you want to try it, I'd recommend testing it on a small area with breakouts for about 3 days before applying it all over. I applied it everywhere and ended up with pimples in places I didn't have them before... Considering it's not exactly cheap, I think only those who find it works perfectly for their skin would consider repurchasing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 20, 2020
The Hwahae Testers Review: My skin is currently combination-dry and sensitive, with occasional blemishes around my mouth and forehead before my period. Since I've been using madecassoside products in my skincare routine, I was able to use this product without any irritation. The texture has a slight viscosity but isn't too sticky. It absorbs quickly into the skin without any residue, which I really liked. There's no greasy feeling, so I could layer a heavier cream on top without any pilling or discomfort. What I loved most was that it's almost fragrance-free! I don't like skincare products with strong scents, and this one applies fresh and pleasant. However, if you have dry skin, you might find this product alone to be insufficient for hydration. I also loved the packaging. Usually, these types of products come in dropper bottles, right? Droppers and pumps can be inconsistent, especially when you're almost out of product - so frustrating! But this product comes in 10 small individual containers, which I appreciate. I can apply it directly to my face without getting it on my hands, squeezing out just the right amount. The packaging is simple but hygienic and allows you to use every last drop. It's also great for travel and everyday portability. I've been using it for about a week and haven't finished one container yet, so I feel the amount is quite generous. My skin doesn't react negatively to Centella asiatica and madecassoside. I've been using madecassoside products in my routine for a while, so I expected this product wouldn't cause any blemishes. After using it for a week, I indeed had no irritation. It coincided with my period, and while it didn't affect existing blemishes, no new ones appeared. It makes my skin feel smooth when applied. Some people say it brightens the skin, but I haven't noticed that effect in just a week. Like all Centella products, this ampoule needs consistent use to see improvements in skin soothing and overall condition, so don't expect dramatic results in a short time. Years ago, I had redness, sensitivity, and extremely dry skin. I simplified my skincare routine to just a few products, focusing on a madecassoside line. Within 1-2 months, I saw amazing improvements in my skin. I've been consistently using this method for years, and now I no longer have redness, rarely get small bumps, and my skin has changed from extremely dry and sensitive to combination-dry with only slight sensitivity (reacting to only a few ingredients). My current routine is toner - madeca skin - A-pot Red Ampoule - madeca essence - madeca cream. There's no pilling, and my makeup applies well. Oh, and lately I've been applying a small amount of the ampoule to a few blemishes on my chest! It would probably work well for body acne too. It's 49,000 won for ten 10ml bottles. Personally, I think it would have been perfect if it was in the early 40,000 to 30,000 won range. If I were buying it with my own money, I'd feel it's too expensive to use on my chest or back. As I mentioned above, Centella and madecassoside work well for my skin. While the Red Ampoule feels gentle, those who are sensitive or don't respond well to these ingredients might experience irritation. It's best to patch test first, use small amounts, or apply only 2-3 times a week. Also, if you have dry skin, never use this alone. It absorbs well and feels light, so you might find it drying. Make sure to finish with a moisturizing product that balances oil and hydration. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinFeb 20, 2020
The Hwahae Testers review: The product really helped calm my skin, reducing the appearance of red blemishes and significantly improving their condition. I didn't experience any new breakouts from using this product. The texture is non-sticky and fluid, absorbing quickly when patted into the skin. I found it particularly effective for deep dryness. Although the individual containers are small, you get 10 of them, so the overall quantity is quite generous and should last a while. It's also convenient for travel and seems hygienic. If this ampoule had dramatically improved my skin, I would have continued using it. However, considering the price point and the results, it might be a bit too expensive for long-term use. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 20, 2020
To be honest, as someone with super sensitive skin, I'd advise fellow sensitive skin types to check the ingredients carefully. The photo is mine. When first applied, it felt moisturizing, but after absorption, my skin felt a bit dry. Unfortunately, I developed redness the next day, so I gave it to my mom. She has combination skin and absolutely loves it! She says it improved her complexion and even reduced the appearance of her pores. Must be the good ingredients! It's not sticky and absorbs well. For those with sensitive skin, no matter how good the ingredients are, always double-check before use. Also, the container lid is a bit inconvenient. It was a struggle to open! Apply this after your toner. Use it like a serum or essence, allowing it to absorb fully. For dry skin types, I recommend following up with a moisturizer.
