I was struggling with mask-related blemishes, but after using this, my skin issues have calmed down and the redness is gradually improving. The ingredients are good and it's effective, so I plan to keep using it. The only downside seems to be the price, which is a bit on the expensive side. It pairs perfectly with the Skin&Lab cream. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinFeb 24, 2020
Hello there! I'm thrilled to share my review as one of The Hwahae Testers~!! Thanks to this product, I've seen fantastic results in blemish care~ First, let me highlight what I loved about this product: The most significant advantage, in my opinion, is how hygienically it's packaged in individual portions! Considering the product is designed for sensitive, blemish-prone skin, the fact that it comes in ten separate 10ml bottles makes it much more hygienic to use. I found that each 10ml bottle lasted just over a week~!! I applied it primarily to blemish-prone areas during my evening skincare routine, focusing mostly on my nose and cheeks~!! The texture is initially moisturizing, but it finishes with a fresh feel - not sticky at all. I really appreciated how lightweight it felt on the skin!!! When I first used it, I was surprised by the reddish tint of the ampoule, but after some research, I was relieved to learn that it's not artificial coloring, but a natural hue from the plant-based ingredients~!! Now, for the most crucial part - blemish care. I'm truly satisfied! After a week of use, my inflamed blemishes and redness had almost completely subsided. I'm so disappointed I didn't take before and after photos :( I highly recommend this for skin soothing and recovery!!! Please give it a try. The Centella Asiatica extract and Madecassoside (cica ingredients) were very effective for calming my skin. Before receiving this ampoule as a Hwahae Tester, my skin was in the worst condition of my life, but this ampoule's anti-inflammatory and immune-regulating effects were a huge help. Plus, being a pH-balanced, slightly acidic ampoule, it really helped restore my skin health~!! As a result, my skin has returned to its healthy state~ I was really feeling down every day when my skin was in such bad shape... Lastly, while everyone's experience may differ, I have sensitive, dry skin and even had atopic dermatitis when I was younger, so my skin is extremely sensitive. However, I didn't experience any sensitivity issues while using this product~!! As for downsides, I honestly haven't noticed any yet. If I do after continued use, I'll be sure to update you~!! When using the ampoule, I applied it locally, so while those areas felt moisturized, the rest of my face felt dry. To combat this, I finished with an all-over application of a moisturizing cream~!! This left my skin feeling completely hydrated throughout the day~!! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinFeb 24, 2020
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers! I've been using this for about two weeks now. My skin type is combination dehydrated/oily, and I'm prone to occasional but persistent acne and blemishes. Let me share the positives with you! 1. The blemish-calming effect is truly outstanding. It's almost on par with prescription acne medication from the pharmacy. It's effective on red, inflamed acne, and if you apply it before bed, you can see the soothing results immediately when you wake up. 2. The serum comes in several small containers, making it hygienic to apply directly to your face. Let's be honest, if an acne product works on acne, that's all that matters. I've seen really great results. Now I don't have to worry when blemishes pop up! 1. There's a tendency for the applied areas to become dry. Don't apply it all over your face; instead, focus on the acne-prone areas. Those with dry skin should be especially careful. 2. The price is truly, truly wicked... If they don't lower the price, I think it'll be absolutely unaffordable for students. It might not suit everyone's skin, so for the first couple of days, apply it to a small area and gradually increase the application area. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 24, 2020
My skin usually stings and breaks out when using new or incompatible products, but this one caused no irritation even on first use! Using this product cleared up the blemishes near my eyebrows, and it didn't cause any new breakouts! Unlike some products that drip when you squeeze them onto your face, this one doesn't run or drip at all! It absorbs well too! When it comes to skincare, strong or unpleasant scents can be a deal-breaker, but this product has a mild, inoffensive fragrance that I really like! The small container doesn't take up much space on my vanity and would be super convenient for travel! The price is quite steep, which is a real drawback. Even though I'd like to repurchase, the cost almost forces me not to. While you might expect this serum to clear up blemishes, I didn't see any dramatic effects. I'm not sure if it was because it coincided with my menstrual cycle, but I actually developed quite a few blemishes around my nasolabial folds, and the serum didn't seem to help. As someone who dislikes sticky textures, I initially applied toner, then serum, then moisturizer. This left my skin feeling a bit oily, so I tried applying toner twice, followed by two layers of serum. This method left my skin hydrated without any oiliness! If you dislike stickiness and oiliness, try applying the serum twice. Don't be stingy with the application - use a generous amount! When you apply plenty and let it absorb completely, you can feel the deep hydration all the way down to the inner layers of your skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 23, 2020
It's amazing how it clears up even those tiny blemishes! My skin feels so clean and hydrated. I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. The regular price is a bit steep, but I'm so grateful I won it through an event. Long live Hwahae! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 22, 2020
Greetings from The Hwahae Testers! (Additional review added on March 19th) Here's the key information: One-line summary: No sensitivity issues, but rather than clearing blemishes, it makes skin texture super smooth! Update (March 19): It seems to significantly reduce sebum and prevent new blemishes from forming! My skin type: As you can see in the photos, I have deep acne scars, frequent folliculitis, and large pustular acne. I still get folliculitis often... Quick summary (because I know a day-by-day breakdown would be too long): It doesn't sting at all and absorbs incredibly fast! If you apply it right after toning, it sinks in immediately. It's not as heavy as you'd expect from an ampoule - more like a light essence, which makes it easy to use. Because it's so light, while my skin felt fine underneath, the surface felt a bit dry. I didn't notice blemishes clearing up... However, it was excellent at calming redness! The area around my nose was especially red, so I applied a bit more there, and it was soothed by the next day. You can see in the 'after' photo that the red areas have decreased. The texture improvement was particularly good. It makes skin even smoother when used with other acne creams rather than just moisturizers. I especially notice the difference when I shower! It also definitely brightens the complexion by providing hydration. Additional info (the above is probably sufficient): I received it on February 13th and I'm writing this on the 23rd, so it's been exactly 10 days! I've been applying this product every time I do my skincare routine. As per the instructions, I apply it after toning, using at least 2 layers. The worsening you see in the 'after' photo isn't because of this product, but due to stress and chocolate... It was delicious though! I've always had severe folliculitis, so I'm taking antivirals and using topical hormones... Update (March 19th): I've included a screenshot of the product's benefits page (6th photo). It claims to help with: 1. Oiliness 2. Overall skin condition 3. Acne 4. Closed comedones For me, 1 and 4 were the most effective. I hadn't realized my skin's sebum production had decreased until I read about this product's effectiveness for oil control. When I touched my skin, I thought, 'Oh wow, it really has reduced!' While it's not great at calming existing blemishes, it's quite good at preventing new ones by reducing closed comedones. However, it has no effect on blemishes that have already surfaced. 1) It doesn't actually clear up existing blemishes, though it does calm them somewhat. 2) It's so light you might question if it's really an ampoule. 3) There's no dramatic effect (Update March 19: After using about 5 bottles, you start to notice the changes) When used with MediCube Real Deep Erasing Cream, my skin texture became even smoother! (Update March 19: While it improved skin texture, it turns out this was the cause of my folliculitis/pustular acne... I used one bottle in 7 days, so it's about 4,900 won per week. Is that a good deal for 10 weeks? I'll update more as I continue using it (the 'after' photo was taken on the 23rd)! Update added on March 19th! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 21, 2020
***The Hwahae Testers review! (After using the product for about 1-2 weeks!) First, a quick overview - I saw an overall calming effect on my skin. However, larger inflammatory blemishes didn't significantly subside even after a week of use. Redness was instantly soothed. While it feels almost oil-free, my skin remains plump for quite some time. Personally recommended!!! •••••••••••••••••• Since many have provided detailed explanations, I'll try to focus on the effects I observed, keeping it relatively concise! My skin: Tends to be sensitive, sometimes developing irritated bumps even without provocation. Dry, but the T-zone becomes oily faster than other areas. Redness appears around the cheeks when hot or excited. +Before use - Slight forehead texture, a couple of small bumps and a few inflammatory spots on the cheeks. +After use - The constant new breakouts and bumps have somewhat calmed. Most of the existing small bumps subsided after about a week of consistent use. Inflammatory spots calmed and progressed slower, but didn't disappear as easily as the smaller bumps. I'll update on this after further use. The product: Slightly runny consistency. However, it's plumping enough to remain on the skin even after some time. I felt almost no oiliness. Suitable for combination skin, though I'm not certain about very oily skin types. The product itself has a slightly reddish tint. This is due to the hibiscus and other flower extracts. It's said to contain highly concentrated cica ingredients, and I definitely felt a rapid calming effect, especially on facial redness! Also, it's mildly acidic, similar to skin pH, so it's non-irritating. What I personally found great was that it's not one 100mL container, but ten 10mL ones!! Even if skin bacteria transfer to the container, it won't be used for long periods, making it very hygienic in my opinion. Summary: - Reduces redness - Overall blemish relief - Rapid skin soothing - Hydration (though not its main purpose) I personally recommend this for those looking to reduce overall redness and blemishes. However, don't expect miraculous results in a short time. With consistent use, I believe you can see sufficient effects. The most disappointing aspect is definitely the price.. I personally think it's a really good serum, but the price makes me hesitate to repurchase.. Also, while I didn't expect this when I started using it, if you're hoping for effects on severe inflammatory blemishes, that won't happen.. This serum doesn't go that far. However, with consistent use, you can see overall gentle effects. In case you're curious: I used it twice daily, morning and evening, applying a moderate amount all over my face for about a week (around 10 days), and I've only used about one bottle. 10 days:1 bottle = 100 days:10 bottles(??) To avoid confusing effects with other products, I used minimal skincare. Personally, I combined it with soothing/hydrating pads and toner. (Cos*** Green** -> Ha**bo Emulsion -> Red Pot Ampoule EX) So individual results may vary! Photo order: One 10mL bottle (full product is 10 bottles) / When opened / Color, texture / After circular motions about 10 times / After patting to absorb If you have any other questions, feel free to ask in the comments and I'll answer as best I can! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 21, 2020
The Hwahae Testers Review Wow, the healing time for post-acne scars has drastically reduced! It's hygienic to use as it's divided into multiple small portions. (Perfect for travel or business trips instead of carrying large, heavy ampoules!) The ingredients are gentle, and unlike other brands, it contains a higher concentration of acne-fighting components! The eye drop-like bottle is hygienic as your hands don't touch the opening, making it easy to control the amount and dispense the product! It applies smoothly, isn't sticky, and above all, absorbs quickly! Highly recommended for those who frequently get pimples that need to be popped!!! I occasionally get pimples on my forehead, hairline, or between my mouth and cheeks (especially during my period). They're not severe, but once they appear, they tend to linger. Usually, they last 1-2 months, sometimes even up to half a year. However, after using this for 2 weeks, a pimple that had been there since last December disappeared! (Even pharmacy treatments didn't work.) I applied this right after toner post-cleansing, and because it absorbs quickly, I could immediately put on acne patches! (I have redness-prone, sensitive skin and sometimes experience stinging with acne products, but this one felt refreshing with zero irritation!) After 2 weeks, about 3 red, scarred pimples along my hairline had subsided! For the first week, it seemed ineffective on closed comedones, but sure enough, after about 2 weeks, they started to flatten and gradually disappear! I've always struggled with closed comedones that wouldn't go away even with thorough cleansing, so I'm truly impressed with the results and plan to continue using this even after this review! The closed comedones didn't dramatically disappear as if treated with medication (Note that I've only used it for 2 weeks!) Both a pro and a con: it absorbs so quickly that if you dispense it on the back of your hand, some gets absorbed before you can apply it. While it's fortunately on sale now, the regular price might be a bit steep for students to purchase frequently. Products I regularly use: Dr. Belmeur Advanced Cica Toner (over 1 year) Dr. Belmeur Advanced Cica Emulsion (over 1 year) Hanyul Moonlight Yuja Sleeping Mask (over 2 months) Beyond Eco Daily Body Sun (over 2.5 years) Haeseolin Good Night Deep Cleansing Oil Water (1 month) Innisfree Blueberry Rebalancing 5.5 Cleanser (1 month) The container is small and easy to squeeze, so it's better to apply directly to the area rather than dispensing it on the back of your hand! Apply more generously to areas that need quick healing! (I had many pimples along my hairline, so I focused on that area. After popping a pimple, applying this, letting it dry, and then putting on a patch, the popped pimple disappeared within a day or two!) [Note] Each tube seems to last about 4-5 days! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 21, 2020
#Review from The Hwahae Testers# I started using this product after my acne had significantly reduced due to dermatological medication. While I can't say there were dramatic effects, I did notice a slight decrease in the remaining small blemishes. It seemed to quickly calm sensitive areas when applied! Regarding the texture, I was satisfied with how smoothly it applied and how it left my skin feeling fresh without any stickiness afterwards. Overall, I was pleased with the user experience, but I'm a bit hesitant about purchasing it regularly due to its price point. There aren't any particular downsides! If I had to mention something... it would be the price range? Since the full-size product is quite expensive, I'm not sure if I'll end up buying it for regular use... In my case, I apply this product right after toner and before serum. Due to its matte finish, it can sometimes cause a bit of flaking in certain areas. So, I recommend using it along with a hydrating serum! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 21, 2020
I used to have severe deep dryness and inner dehydration, but after using this, those issues have significantly improved. I thought my cheeks would tear when I said 'a-e-i-o-u', but that's no longer the case! My blemishes have stopped appearing, and many of the small bumps have disappeared. While it couldn't do much for existing inflammatory acne, I'm satisfied that no new ones are forming. My acne scars have also faded quite a bit, which is great. It seems to work well for me, so I'll keep using it! I'm extremely satisfied. After using it for about a week, I don't have any particular complaints yet. I thought it would be sticky since it's an ampoule, but it's not very sticky at all. It absorbs well, which is great! I didn't use many products, just Anua Skin, Red Pot Ampoule EX, and Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream. My blemishes have significantly reduced, and the deep dryness in my face has greatly improved. If you're struggling with small bumps and acne, I cautiously recommend giving this a try.
