#Review from The Hwahae Testers# I have oily skin with severe blemishes - so bad that everyone who saw me asked why my skin was in such a terrible state. This was especially distressing since I'd never had acne or blemishes before. Then I won this product and after using it for 2 weeks, the results weren't bad. Let me break it down: 1. Texture It has a soft gel-like consistency that spreads easily despite seeming thick at first. It absorbs quickly and isn't sticky. The color is like a very watered-down red drink. 2. Scent It has that herbal/artificial smell common in many acne spot gels, very similar to the Isoi acne gel. Not recommended if you're sensitive to smells! 3. Packaging & Amount It comes in 10 separate 10ml containers, which is great for hygiene. Some people said they used up one container too quickly, but I didn't feel that way. I used one for about 2 weeks, though I might just be using less. 4. The Most Important Part - Effectiveness! Naturally, there weren't dramatic effects in the first 5 days, just very subtle improvements. (I'll attach photos - I diligently took pictures for the first three days but got lazy after that...haha) After 2 weeks of use, I'd say my skin has almost completely cleared up. If I had 100 blemishes before, now I'm down to about 5-8. In my opinion, it was quite effective. ++++Update+++ After using it for a full month, my skin has cleared up completely!! Well, not 100% perfect, but there's only so much a product can do. The last photo shows my current skin condition... First off, the price is too burdensome for students. 100,000 won is a lot of money for us students. While the total amount you get is substantial, it's just too expensive. I'll probably only use what I received from The Hwahae Testers and won't be able to purchase it again. I can't think of any other downsides. Just make sure to apply it consistently and diligently. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 21, 2020
I used this when my skin was already in good condition, so I didn't notice a huge impact from the product. What I liked about it was that it absorbs well and has a nice texture. I found it to be gentle on my skin. I didn't expect much in terms of hydration, but it's a lightweight serum that's easy to apply. Rather than providing deep hydration, it's more of a light moisturizer. Also, the small amount goes a long way, making it hygienic to use. The biggest drawback is definitely the price. Given how expensive it is, it might be a bit too much for some budgets. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 21, 2020
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers! My skin type is usually oily, but in winter it's closer to combination. I don't have severe acne, but I often get blemishes! I used this product from February 12th to 21st, a total of 9 days. Product features: - The texture is a light serum rather than a heavy one - It absorbs quickly and is nearly fragrance-free - It has a red tint but doesn't show color when applied - The box contains 10 vials of 10ml each, totaling 100ml What I liked: 1. The small individual bottles make it convenient to carry around 2. It's effective for skin soothing The product slogan emphasizes concentrated soothing, and it really delivers! This was the most satisfying aspect. I'm currently getting laser treatments for blemishes at a dermatologist, and despite moisturizing well, I always got small pimples and bumps due to dryness. After using this product, they significantly decreased! Usually, my face gets red after laser treatment, but during the week I used this ampoule, it didn't! This would be great for people with redness issues. 3. Acne soothing I even had my sister with severe acne try it! The redness around her acne faded, and it calmed down a lot! I'll attach before and after photos. 4. Reduced oiliness When applying the ampoule, less oil comes to the surface, and it leaves a smooth finish. My skin felt firm and supple. 5. Non-sticky and quick absorption It's not sticky and absorbs quickly, so there's no issue using it as a base before makeup - no pilling at all. This part is top-notch! Disappointing aspects: Too dry when used alone Despite its quick absorption and light texture, it's too dry to use by itself. You need to finish with another product. While it was effective in calming facial acne, it didn't prevent new breakouts. Also, it didn't have a dramatic effect on body blemishes - perhaps because body skin is thicker? During use, I was more satisfied with its skin-soothing effects than its acne-fighting properties. The price isn't exactly budget-friendly, which is unfortunate. While the 10ml divisions are convenient for carrying, larger volumes might be better. I'm not sure if it's really necessary to divide it into 10ml portions. After cleansing, I wiped my face with toner to help the ampoule absorb, then applied the product. The light texture allowed for multiple applications without pilling, and it absorbed quickly and well! I even mixed it with my moisturizer when applying. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 21, 2020
※This review is based on my 9-day experience after winning the Hwahae Testers event for the first time. #Brightening complexion As a first-time user of ampoules, the most noticeable effect was how my skin became brighter, as if someone had turned on a light, the more I used it. #Absorbs well It sinks into the skin quickly after application. I think this is why it's so effective. #No deep dryness #Firmness I applied it after toner instead of emulsion, and it didn't feel dry. When I go out, if I apply the ampoule before my base makeup, my skin feels firmer compared to when I don't use it. #Application I use slightly less than a 500 won coin, and even this small amount is enough to cover both face and neck. #Packaging The ampoule comes in a container smaller than a cotton swab, so I thought it would run out quickly (in 2-3 days?). Surprisingly, it lasts much longer. I've been using the amount shown in the photo for 9 days, and I still haven't finished one bottle. The small size makes it convenient to carry around. #Color As a side note, the ampoule has a beautiful light red color. *To explain the photos: The before and after pictures show my forehead area. The 'before' is after cleansing but before applying anything, while the 'after' is on the 10th day, after using the ampoule for 9 days, again with clean skin and nothing else applied. Of course, these are unedited. The cotton swab next to the ampoule bottle is for size comparison. #Hydration Perhaps because it absorbs so well, it seems to lack inherent moisturizing properties. If I only use toner and ampoule, I get dead skin cells. However, this can be solved by applying a moisturizer. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 21, 2020
My skin type is combination (dry on cheeks, oily T-zone) + sensitive + combination dehydrated skin. 1. It's not a dropper type, but designed to be squeezed like eye drops. Plus, it's divided into 10ml portions, so there's no worry about contamination. 2. Both absorption and application are great. The texture looks watery but doesn't just run like water, nor is it oily. It applies lightly like a toner, and absorbs incredibly fast - a few rubs and it's gone. 3. The M brand ampoule I used before left a sticky feeling, making makeup application difficult. However, the Red Pot Ampoule finishes with a powdery feel, making it comfortable for makeup application. 4. The scent might be divisive, but personally, I found it okay. Even though it's a fragrance I usually dislike, it dissipates quickly, making it easy to use. 5. It claims to soothe the skin, and it certainly seems effective. My skin is usually heavily influenced by hormones, lifestyle, diet, and skincare products. Considering my recent chaotic lifestyle and being a week before my period, my skin was remarkably calm. It doesn't seem to maintain hydration well. My oily-skinned sister uses only the same toner as me, but when using just this ampoule, she said her skin felt dry. Even with my combination skin, the moisturizing effect doesn't last more than 5 minutes after applying toner and ampoule. Even with emulsion on top, my face feels tight after 1-2 hours. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 21, 2020
The absorption, texture, and scent are all excellent. The quantity is generous too. It's sold in packs of 10, but a single pack can last over 3 weeks. It's gentle on the skin - my super sensitive skin that usually reacts to new products handled this one just fine. The effectiveness is a bit unclear. It's supposed to improve redness and blemishes, but I'm not sure yet. I'll keep using it and come back to update my review later. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 21, 2020
- Conveniently divided into 10 small portions. The set of 10 small-sized ampoules was so handy. Perfect for travel, light to carry, and small enough to slip into your makeup pouch. What I loved most was being able to use a fresh, unexposed product each time I opened a new one! - Absorbs well. As someone with oily skin who doesn't like sticky products, I was relieved that this ampoule applied smoothly without any stickiness, leaving my skin feeling hydrated. It absorbs well, making it great to use before applying makeup in the morning! - Didn't cause any blemishes. Lately, I've been getting a lot of blemishes where my mask touches my face. I applied this product twice a day, morning and night, and it not only prevented new blemishes but also helped calm existing ones. My blemishes have significantly reduced, though I'm not sure if it's due to this ampoule or because I've been wearing masks less frequently lately. - Contains many beneficial ingredients. Checking the official website, I found it's packed with soothing ingredients like Centella Asiatica extract, panthenol, tea tree leaf extract, and Houttuynia Cordata extract. It's an ampoule I'd like to keep using consistently. I saw on the official website that it costs around 49,000 won, but I haven't seen results that justify the price yet! While it seems to have calmed my blemishes, I haven't noticed much improvement in my skin barrier. Also, the product description page showed a graph indicating reduced oil production, so I had high hopes for oil control. However, if anything, my skin's oiliness has increased rather than decreased. Due to its good absorption, I applied it first after cleansing. Since I haven't used it for long, I'll need to continue using it to see its full effects. With 10 ampoules in the set, if the price is a concern, it might be a good idea to split it with a friend. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 21, 2020
Skin type: Combination - Oily T-zone, Dry U-zone I expected this ampoule to be really sticky, but surprisingly it wasn't sticky at all. It was actually almost dry? I guess that means it absorbs well, right? The scent was slightly similar to I*'s rose serum, but it wasn't overpowering and had a subtle, pleasant fragrance. Also, there's more product than I expected, and you can apply it hygienically! I thinly applied one 10ml bottle all over my face, with a bit extra on blemish-prone areas, and it still lasted over a week. While it didn't seem to have much effect on pustular or inflammatory acne, I could clearly see a reduction in my closed comedones! I can't really speak to its long-term effectiveness since I didn't use it for very long, but I probably won't use it again. After applying, my skin felt so dry that it seemed to produce more oil, leading to more breakouts. While I can't definitively blame this product, it's a fact that I experienced more blemishes after using it. I don't have particularly sensitive skin, but seeing pimples appear in areas where I didn't usually get them makes me think this isn't great for acne-prone skin. If you want to try it, I'd recommend testing it on a small area with breakouts for about 3 days before applying it all over. I applied it everywhere and ended up with pimples in places I didn't have them before... Considering it's not exactly cheap, I think only those who find it works perfectly for their skin would consider repurchasing. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 21, 2020
❗The Hwahae Testers Review❗ I've been using this product for about a week now. I plan to update with additional information every 2-4 weeks. As this is my first time as a Hwahae Tester, please excuse any shortcomings. 🎁 Product Description: • Red Pot Ampoule EX • 10ml x 10 units • Transparent red-tinted ampoule Each unit is quite small at 10ml. The ampoule has a transparent, bright red color and absorbs well into the skin. For an accurate comparison, I used this product in addition to my regular skincare routine. It doesn't sting or cause discomfort when applied directly to scars or pimples. Compared to other ampoules, this one absorbs very quickly. If you use this as your only ampoule in your skincare routine, you might feel a bit dry (not because the product itself is drying, but because it doesn't leave a lasting moisturized feeling). As of February 21st, after about a week of use, I haven't seen significant effects on blemishes. However, if there's any noticeable effect, it's that the redness from old acne scars has meaningfully decreased. The best thing about this product is that it's not irritating. I usually break out when changing skincare products, but I haven't experienced any blemishes since using this. I haven't seen rapid soothing effects or scar disappearance yet (to be fair, no skincare product shows effects in such a short time). I'll continue to update my review as I keep using it. 🎁 Pros: • A little goes a long way - 3-4 drops cover the entire face • Reduces redness from acne scars • Absorbs quickly • Doesn't cause breakouts • Gentle and non-irritating Compared to online reviews (which is true for most cosmetics), the effects aren't as dramatically visible as expected. This makes me hesitant about repurchasing, especially considering the price. Once you try it, you might feel that it's not worth the money for such minimal effects. It's a 'take it or leave it' kind of product. Of course, I'll update you on any long-term effects I notice. 🎁 Cons: • Questionable value for money • Not significantly different from other ampoules on the market (In other words, it lacks a unique selling point) My current skincare routine: Toner (spray) Two ampoules (1. Red Pot Ampoule 2. Another ampoule) Emulsion Ointment 🎁 Usage Tips: • Apply toner before the ampoule, and emulsion after The ampoule itself doesn't feel particularly moisturizing • Use 3-4 drops per application Apply drops to your forehead, nose, and chin, then spread from the center outwards • Use twice daily After morning and evening cleansing Recommended twice daily rather than once • Use in conjunction with acne ointment As this product absorbs quickly, apply your acne ointment after the ampoule has been absorbed and after applying emulsion (optional). I haven't experienced any major blemishes in the week I've been using this routine. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 21, 2020
I loved how it applies well even with a small amount, feels lightweight, and absorbs quickly, giving an instant hydration with a refreshing and crisp sensation. Usually, when you think of ampoules, they often have a strong viscosity and slow absorption, but this one absorbs lightly without causing makeup to pill. Another advantage is that the 10ml products come individually packaged in a box of 10, allowing for hygienic use. While it may vary slightly for each user, when used generously morning and evening, one 10ml bottle can last about 5 days to a week. The biggest benefit I noticed after using it for over 2 weeks was its effectiveness in quick wound healing after acne extraction and calming allergies that cause itching, which was fantastic. Although it quickly moisturizes after application, it's disappointing that the hydration doesn't last very long. While the individual packaging allows for hygienic use, which is an advantage, I think a drawback is the increased amount of waste it produces.
