  1. Fragrance The citrus scent is really great! My previous brightening moisturizer had an overpowering sweet smell that made me hesitant to apply it, but this product has a lovely fragrance. 2. Application/Coverage The absorption is pretty good. Let's be honest, most men rarely use puffs or sponges when applying sunscreen or brightening moisturizers. So it's important that it spreads well with just your hands, and this product does that nicely. It absorbs quickly and provides natural coverage, making it easy to use. Plus, there's not a huge difference between before and after application, so it should look natural on men. 3. Ingredients According to Hwahae, there's only one ingredient to be cautious about.   1. Lacks sun protection It's disappointing that this brightening moisturizer doesn't offer much in terms of sun protection. Applying both this and sunscreen would be too heavy, but using this alone doesn't provide enough protection. 2. Slight stickiness? While it absorbs quickly, the feeling afterwards is a bit odd - dry yet slightly sticky? It controls oil well, leaving the skin matte, but there's a slight tackiness. It's not bothersome or uncomfortable, but I'd recommend testing it on your hand before purchasing.

  Pros

  Here's a review from The Hwahae Testers! I've tried toning creams from other brands before, and even when I adjusted the amount, they still felt like a mask. But DTRT Spotlight doesn't give that feeling at all while still evening out my skin tone! Plus, it didn't leave my skin feeling dry.

  Cons

  It seems to have more hydration than I expected. If you have extremely oily skin, you might find it a bit sticky, but for combination skin, it provides moisture without any feeling of tightness.

  Tip

  The key with brightening moisturizers seems to be applying small pumps and spreading them out. This prevents clumping and gives a natural brightening effect! Also, applying it to your neck can help create a seamless, natural look.

  Pros

  I appreciated that it's not a typical BB cream formula, but more of an emulsion-like texture. It also brightens without giving a grayish cast, which is great.

  Cons

  Despite its emulsion-like texture, it feels quite sticky and doesn't adhere well to the skin. There's a slight pilling effect, as if it's sitting on top of the skin. Patting it in continuously with your hands after application does help somewhat. The brightening effect isn't very natural, and it's quite noticeable that you're wearing something.

  Tip

  After applying it with your hands, continue patting it in with your palms. This will help it look more natural and absorb better.
