Fragrance The citrus fragrance is really great. The whitening cream I used before had a scent that was too strong, so I was reluctant to apply it, but this product has a pleasant fragrance. 2. Spreadability/Coverage The spreadability is also decent. In fact, not many men use sunscreen or whitening creams and even use puffs or sponges. So it's good that it spreads well with just your hands. This product absorbs quickly and provides natural-looking coverage, which should work well for men. The difference before and after application is not too significant. 3. Ingredients According to the Hwahae Trial Reviewer, there is one cautionary ingredient. However, there are no pore-clogging ingredients, which is good. Many regular sunscreens have a lot of pore-clogging ingredients.
Cons1. No Sunscreen Function It's a bit disappointing that although it's a whitening cream, the sunscreen function is lacking. If you have to apply sunscreen separately after using this, it becomes too heavy, and there's no point in just using the whitening cream. 2. Stickiness? While it absorbs quickly, after absorption, it feels a bit dry but sticky. I'm not sure why, but it's not overly bothersome or uncomfortable. Still, it's a good idea to try it on your hand before purchasing to see if you find the texture suitable.

Secondly, when first applied, it had a smooth and soft application, unlike the thick and sticky feel of the previous Real Barrier Tone-Up Cream I used. Thirdly, unlike the previous Real Barrier Control-T Natural Tone-Up Cream, this one provided a natural, moisturizing tone-up without any thick, chalky residue. Fourthly, the green-tinted capsules effectively concealed the redness from acne scars in small areas. Fifthly, it was great for carrying around on the weekend - after exercising, it helped create a natural, dewy look on my flushed skin, and the plastic packaging was durable and hygienic with an easy-to-dispense pump. Sixthly, when cleansing with Acnes Derma Foam Cleanser (for evening) and Innisfree Blueberry Foam Cleanser (for morning), the tone-up cream washed off well, but its good adherence meant thorough cleansing of the nose, chin, and neck areas was still necessary. In conclusion, for men's cosmetics, natural-looking results are the most important. While finding a product that balances optimal tone correction, smooth application, natural appearance, and minimal harmful ingredients is challenging, this tone-up cream comes close, providing a light, natural-looking coverage preferable to heavy makeup that can further damage the skin over time. The previous conclusion reflected the current notion that men are not expected to have perfect skin like women. Of course, the basic skincare routine of cleansing, toner, and moisturizer is still essential. In the real conclusion, I would recommend this product to those looking for a natural-looking tone-up, smooth application, moderate correction, and convenient, user-friendly men's cosmetics. (The pleasant fragrance also makes it suitable for use by women.)
Cons1. Among the tone-up creams I've tried so far, this one had the least amount of pilling around the nose area, but I still had to be careful to smooth it out. 2. The product contains PEG, which is listed on the Hwahae app, but I didn't experience any allergic reactions or other issues. However, others may want to consider this ingredient. 3. When first applied, the product has a slight greenish tint from the capsules, but it absorbs quickly and provides a smooth tone-up effect. However, in rushed situations like commuting, the initial greenish tint can feel a bit long-lasting. 4. The product effectively covers redness in small areas, but it doesn't completely conceal the redness in deeper acne scars.
TipAccording to the instructions, the pump is supposed to be used twice to cover the face and neck, but since everyone's face size is different, it's best to figure out how much you need to cover your entire face before applying it. After applying, you can add more to the areas that don't seem to have enough coverage. Even though it's supposed to look natural, if you apply too much, it can end up looking unnatural. I haven't tried applying that much, but I've heard that can happen.

Fragrance While this aspect may divide opinions, from my perspective, the scent is not chemical-like and not irritating. Instead, it has a subtle pine-like aroma and a refreshing feel, which I enjoyed. 2. Product Appearance The shape is cute and charming, and the outer packaging is visually appealing. Additionally, the pumping action is smooth and convenient, making it easy to use. 3. Cleansing Power It's hard to say whether this is a good or bad point, but the product rinses off well with water, which is satisfactory. In my case, I do a double cleansing routine, which helps remove it even more effectively. I have excluded the aspects of longevity and post-application experience, as I have not personally tested those.
ConsI was unable to use this product. 1. UV protection This product lacks UV protection, so it needs to be used with sunscreen. However, both this product and the sunscreen have an oily texture, which is a complete mess. Depending on the sunscreen used, it may not adhere well to the skin, making it appear more visible. As someone who prioritizes sunscreen, especially during the summer when UV exposure is high, I don't think I will be using this product. 2. Coverage and tone-up My skin is not particularly dark. However, as a men's tone-up product, it is too bright. No matter how much I rub it in, it appears too white and stands out like Kabuki makeup. It is so white that it is visible even when applied to the back of my hand. While it claims to provide a natural skin tone, the whiteness is too apparent, which is not what I prefer as someone who uses existing products that blend in seamlessly. The coverage also does not effectively conceal redness or minor blemishes compared to the whitening effect, so I will likely continue using my existing product lineup. 3. Skin compatibility This is highly personal, but as my skin is somewhat sensitive, I generally don't use men's products. However, as soon as I applied this product, my face started to sting, and I had to wash it off immediately. Despite providing sufficient moisture, the reaction was so surprising that I couldn't use the product. If you have a similar skin type, it might be worth considering this factor. Additionally, without changing any of my existing skincare routine, such as toner or cleansing foam, I experienced breakouts after using this product. It could be due to my skin condition on that day, but it's something to consider as well. 4. Adherence Rather than feeling like it adheres to the skin, it has a floating sensation. While it feels great during cleansing, it tends to appear white when exposed to moisture, making it quite noticeable. Especially when sweating, you should be cautious about using this product.
TipPlease be sure to use this product together with sunscreen. This product is only a tone-up cream and not a UV protection product.

The texture was not thick and was thin, so there was no resistance when applying it. Many of the other products I've used had a thicker texture, but this one was light like a lotion. 2. It looks very natural. At first, it seemed to have a slightly whitish cast, but it immediately blended in with my natural skin tone. This is a product that brightens the complexion in a very natural way. 3. (This may be a matter of personal preference) The herbal scent is refreshing when applied.
Cons1. The coverage is still lacking, as expected. While a tone-up cream is not meant for heavy coverage, it still does not conceal my uneven skin tone and acne scars. 2. The lasting power is quite disappointing. It doesn't seem to hold up well for a man who needs to be out all day, around three to four hours. 3. Since the texture is thin, if you don't exfoliate regularly, it can feel like the product is slipping around on the skin.
TipI'd recommend squeezing out a bit more product and applying it generously. At first, it may look a bit too pale, but since the lasting power is not that strong, it's better to apply a more ample amount.

I focused more on the user experience rather than product comparison. Pros: 1. It's a water-based type, but the cream texture and moisturizing cream-like feel make it pleasant to use (it felt like applying a moisturizer twice). 2. The lasting power is decent (I applied it at 7 AM and it's still there 5 hours later, so no need for reapplication). 3. When it comes to choosing a tone-up cream, I personally think this is the most important factor, and this one looks the most natural after application, with no white cast. I've tried 3 tone-up creams (x-style homme, Cosrx, and this one), and this is the best. 4. The ingredients are gentle (no breakouts for my slightly sensitive skin). 5. This is a good tone-up cream for men. I used to apply the previous one on my body, but from now on, I'll be using this one. Please excuse the not-so-good-looking photos, as I took them with a bare camera to help with the review.
ConsEven though I cleanse my face with water and simply apply a skin toner in the morning, as you can see in the photo (the blue-ish white spots), there is some pilling. However, this is the case with other tone-up creams as well. If you apply a small amount, it should be fine.
TipAfter using the tone-up cream, apply sunscreen as the final step.
