I loved that it wasn't sticky at all and didn't feel heavy when applied. At first, I thought it was just an emulsion, but I was pleasantly surprised by its immediate brightening effect, which made me realize it was actually a brightening moisturizer. The packaging design is sleek and pretty, and the pump dispenser makes it clean and efficient to use. I'm definitely planning to repurchase.
ConsIt has a slightly matte finish. While it doesn't pill, it feels a bit stiff - how should I describe it? You need to be careful when applying to ensure even coverage without any clumping.

It also brightens without giving a grayish cast, which is great.
ConsDespite its emulsion-like texture, it feels quite sticky and doesn't adhere well to the skin. There's a slight pilling effect, as if it's sitting on top of the skin. Patting it in continuously with your hands after application does help somewhat. The brightening effect isn't very natural, and it's quite noticeable that you're wearing something.
TipAfter applying it with your hands, continue patting it in with your palms. This will help it look more natural and absorb better.

I usually have some redness on my cheeks, but this mint color was effective in balancing out the redness and acne marks. It's more about 'natural look' than 'coverage', so it might be better for those who prefer that. I've been using it for about two weeks, and despite having acne-prone skin, I've been using it without any blemishes at all.
ConsOccasionally, there's some pilling when applying. It doesn't seem like dead skin cells, more like residue? It happens in one or two spots, but you can just dab it away with a mirror ;;;
TipI'm using it with a mineral sunscreen, keeping in mind that the sunscreen also has a slight white cast, so I need to be careful with the amount applied (I'm using just under one pump, which is perfect). As it's the weather for short sleeves and shorts, I've been applying small amounts to my knees and elbows too. I was satisfied with how it brightened up these typically dull areas.

I've been using this product daily for about 3 days, and here's my take: Quick summary: - It might be a bit dry for those with dry skin. - It brightens my complexion naturally yet noticeably, just like my own skin but better! - Among brightening moisturizers, this one has excellent staying power. I'm a 23-year-old guy with dry skin. My complexion tends to be more dull than dark, so I often use brightening moisturizers or base makeup. True to its name as a brightening moisturizer, it naturally enhances your complexion, which I find incredibly useful! As you can see in my photos, it definitely brightens while still looking natural. I saw some reviews mentioning it was a bit dry, so I was concerned about how it would work on my dry skin. Surprisingly, it wasn't as drying as I expected. It doesn't look cakey like you're wearing nothing at all, provides decent hydration while evening out skin tone, and absorbs quickly! I'm really impressed with how long-lasting it is, probably due to its slightly powdery finish. It's perfect for summer use! On average, it easily lasted about 7 hours over the 3 days I tested it. Also, I love that the packaging has a pump dispenser. This airless type keeps it hygienic for long-term use, which is great!
ConsThere's just one small downside I noticed. While the texture is a smooth cream, sometimes when the color capsules inside burst, it can create a slight pilling effect, which is a bit disappointing. It might be a bit much to use with sunscreen.
TipI'm 90% likely to repurchase! Remember, with brightening products, it's all about controlling the amount! Amount control is crucial. After applying your skincare thoroughly and letting it absorb, make sure to blend this product well so that the capsules or particles are fully absorbed. Instead of patting, it's better to gently massage this product, making sure to smooth out any powdery residue for a clean finish.

The texture isn't thick but rather fluid, making it easy to apply without any discomfort. Compared to other products I've tried that were surprisingly thick, this one feels as light as applying an emulsion. 2. It looks incredibly natural. At first, it might appear slightly white, but it quickly blends in with your natural skin tone. It's a product that brightens your complexion very subtly. 3. (This might be a matter of personal preference) It has a herbal scent that feels refreshing when applied.
Cons1. As expected, the coverage is somewhat lacking. While the purpose of a brightening moisturizer isn't primarily coverage, it still doesn't conceal redness or blemish marks. 2. The longevity leaves much to be desired. It lasts maybe 3-4 hours? For a man who needs to be out all day, its performance is a bit disappointing. 3. Due to its fluid texture, if you apply it without exfoliating first, you might experience some pilling. It's best to use this after consistent exfoliation of dead skin cells.
TipI recommend squeezing out a generous amount and applying it twice rather than just once. Even if it looks a bit pale at first, the staying power isn't very strong, so it's better to apply it more liberally.

Packaging True to DTRT's style, the packaging is excellent. Particularly, the pump design allows for convenient and hygienic use. The feel of pressing the pump is also satisfying. It's not very pleasant when these things make annoying clicking sounds, you know. 2. Natural brightening Although I naturally have fair skin, I often use BB cream (DTRT, Boys Be Bold). I use it when I want my skin to look polished, but this product provides a more natural brightening effect than BB cream. However, it doesn't offer as much coverage as BB cream. It contains green capsules, giving it a slight green tint when applied, but it looks natural once it's on. I was a bit startled when I first applied it though. I thought it was dirt for a second! 3. Cleansing More than half of it washes off with water initially. Unlike BB cream, you don't need to scrub hard to remove it completely - it comes off easily.
Cons1. Heaviness When applied to bare skin, it feels slightly damp and like there's an extra layer on top. This improves over time, but during the afternoon oil-slick phase typical of male skin, I worry it might start to cake. If applied too thickly, it might feel like it's causing dead skin cells to pill. 2. Scent (may vary depending on personal preference) It has that cool+sharp+concentrated pine needle extract scent often found in DTRT products. It doesn't quite suit my preference for slightly heavier scents, but if you want a fragrance in your skincare, you'd have to apply perfume as a toner, right? 3. Other It's not waterproof, so I'm afraid that if I sweat, it might look like I've spilled white seolleongtang broth all over my face. Also, it doesn't have an SPF rating, so it seems I'll need to apply a separate sunblock product. Men are creatures of laziness, so that's a bit disappointing.

Pros: 1. Great for combination dehydrated skin - creamy texture feels like a hydrating moisturizer (like applying two layers of moisturizer, which I love) 2. Decent staying power (applied at 7 AM, still going strong 5 hours later - no need for touch-ups) 3. In my opinion, this is crucial when choosing a brightening moisturizer - it looks natural after application, no white cast. I've tried 3 brightening moisturizers (X Style Homme, Cosnori, and this one), and this is the best 4. Gentle ingredients (I have somewhat sensitive skin and experienced no blemishes) 5. Truly a kind brightening moisturizer for men I'll use my previous product on my body and continue using this for my face. To provide a helpful review, I took unfiltered photos with my phone's camera, so please excuse my appearance!
ConsDespite only washing with water and applying a simple toner and emulsion in the morning, you can see some pilling (the white specks above the blue area in the photo). However, this happens with all brightening moisturizers, so applying a small amount in layers should work fine. (I admit I applied more than usual since it was my first time using it)
TipRemember to apply sunscreen after using this brightening moisturizer as the final step in your routine
