Personally, I didn't feel any resistance when applying it. It spread smoothly. - Tone-up effect: It's definitely there. But you really need to control the amount carefully. If you squeeze out too much and just apply it, you'll end up with an unpleasant white face. Apply it sparingly and only to the areas that need coverage, and you can achieve a natural, bright skin look without the sunscreen white cast feeling!!
Cons-There is no perfect tone correction product- While it does help correct skin tone to a certain degree, there are limitations. The green capsules inside do guarantee some redness coverage, but it seems to require a certain level of diligence in application.
TipI mixed it with my sunscreen and applied it only to the areas that needed tone correction, while just using the sunscreen on the rest of my face.

Cons(Downside).😗 1. When applied after the skin develops flakes, a lot of white powder flies off!!(caution) 2. It looks a bit grayish, hmm.. a bit dark 3.If you apply a lot (you'll become a ghost~~~) just the right amount, okay? 4.There's a bit of oiliness, but it's tolerable^^
Tip(Super Tip Reveal)-Bam!!👍 _1. It pairs perfectly with sunscreen!!(but not the whitening type) _2. If you apply an appropriate amount to reddened areas (tada, it becomes just the right redness?) +For those who wear makeup, you can apply foundation on top (it won't show!!) :I'll share more tips as soon as I learn them!

First of all, the tone-up function was definite. I used to only use BB creams, but when I used the tone-up, my complexion definitely became brighter. And due to the smooth application, at first I felt it might be too bright, but after applying and waiting about 30 minutes, along with the warmth of my face, it gave a natural feel. Lastly, the long-lasting effect is quite good - if I apply it in the morning and go out, the effect lasts until the evening.
ConsFirst of all, the scent is disappointing. It's only noticeable when applying, but it seems to have that peculiar smell of men's sunscreen. And the whitening effect is bigger than expected, so if you don't apply it carefully, there could be a white cast (your face looking pale).
TipI apply sunscreen about 5 minutes after applying this product, and at that time I check for any white cast, and if a part seems a bit too much, I just dab it a little more, and it's just perfect.

Previously, I've tried other brands of toning creams, but they would leave a sticky feeling even after just a light application. However, the DTRT Spotlight did not have that issue at all, and it effectively brightened my skin tone. Plus, it did not dry out my skin.
ConsIt seems to have a decent level of moisturization. If your skin is very oily, you may find it a bit sticky, but if you have combination skin, it should provide enough moisture without any tightness.
TipWhen using a tone-up cream, it's best to apply it in small amounts and spread it evenly. That way, it won't clump up and will give a natural tone-up effect. Applying it to the neck area also helps blend the boundary seamlessly.

Natural tone-up - It is truly faithful to the concept of tone-up. Unlike other companies' products that make the face look too white or have a whitening effect like sunscreen with a chalky appearance, this product naturally corrects the skin's tone without any unnatural changes. As mentioned in the product description, it covers the redness (my skin is sensitive and atopic, so my skin tone is uneven and blotchy) to a certain extent, which I found to be good. 2. Ingredients - Although it contains PEG, the overall ingredients are not burdensome for me, a sensitive and atopic person, to apply. By excluding harmful ingredients, allergens, and alcohol, there is no itchiness or irritation after application, which made me realize that the quality of Korean men's cosmetics has really improved. Niacinamide, which helps with whitening, corn starch and titanium dioxide, which help with oil absorption, and Centella asiatica extract, which is good for skin soothing, are all very satisfactory ingredients. 3. Spreadability - Spreadability is often a compromise with tone-up creams or tone-up sunscreens. Even if it doesn't seem that way, once applied, they can become sticky and stiff, causing pilling or slipping depending on the base. However, this product has a spreadability between a cream and a lotion, allowing it to be easily and smoothly applied.
Cons1. Moisturizing - This is an unavoidable part even for the purpose of sebum control. If you don't moisturize sensitive skin, dryness can cause itching, so you need to apply lotion and cream well, and it seems that you can only balance moisturizing and tone-up with this product. 2. Dosage control - This can be an advantage... Even if you use a very small amount, the spreadability is good, so you can cover a large area sufficiently. However, if the amount seems a little too much, it will be difficult to absorb, as it will look like you've applied too much makeup. It's appropriate to pump a little more than a grain of rice on the forehead or cheek area. 3. UV protection - If the purpose of the tone-up cream is to reduce the hassle of basic care and makeup when going out due to a natural tone-up, I think it should have a light UV protection effect. Nowadays, UV protection is essential, and there is a need to prepare for external factors such as fine dust blocking... This part is a bit disappointing. Applying this and then applying sunscreen is... 😢
TipApply skincare products properly with a small amount, just enough to cover the skin.

The DTRT tone-up cream Spotlight does not cake or slide off when using BB or cushion foundations afterwards (great adhesion). 2. It can be applied to the neck to conceal the facial boundary well. 3. It definitely does a good job of covering redness. (Redness coverage) 4. If not applied all over the face, the tone-up effect looks natural, even if the shade is a bit too dark.
ConsIt gets stuck in the pores even when used after shaving... You'd have to use a primer underneath! It also gets stuck on facial hair haha. Hmm... Using a small amount at a time would be the wise choice.
TipFor those with clear skin, lightly applying a primer and then using this would be enough without a separate base makeup. It's not oily, is moisturizing, and has decent lasting power even when sweating!

It looks so neat that I can just leave it on my vanity when I'm done using it! The tone-up effect is very natural. My radiant complexion was maintained from the moment I left for work until I got home. I felt great every time I looked in the mirror. I wipe it off completely in the morning and before cleansing in the evening. Since it doesn't seem to be a heavy product, I didn't experience any particular troubles while applying the cream.
ConsThe reddish blemish marks don't seem to be covered very well. It's different from a concealer. I was too hesitant to apply it this morning because I was sweating profusely... The white water dripping down my face is only noticeable when I'm cleansing, though.
TipI'm sure everyone knows this, but if you're not as extreme as a Japanese drama, just pump it twice. Rinsing it off can be a bit of a concern, but you don't necessarily need to apply it every day. Just use it during rainy seasons like the monsoon period.

Definitive. As the name suggests, the tone-up is definitive. I have very severe facial flushing, but the unevenness was somewhat covered up! If you apply foundation or cushion over the cream, you won't need a separate concealer to look flawless! 2. Spreadability? Weight? Although it's a makeup base, since it's a cream, I thought it would be very heavy, but not really.. The spreadability wasn't too sticky either. It melts well with body temperature and spreads widely.. It's obvious, but I liked it! 3. Affinity with skin(?) I have an oily T-zone and a dry U-zone (a bit more extreme than others.. especially the oil..) So I was worried that it might dry out on my cheeks and not stick, or that it might just slide off my nose and forehead due to the oil.. I didn't want to imagine sweating while taking graduation photos outside in the heat.. But it turned out better than I expected! The tone-up cream + cushion + powder managed to maintain its shape for quite a long time! I was satisfied!
ConsAs for the disappointing points, since I have a fairly normal skin type, I didn't have major complaints, but if I had to pick one, it would be: 1. The granules.. I thought the cream spread well, but when I suddenly looked in the mirror, I felt like there was something stuck in it, not oil or anything. I brushed it aside and wiped it off, but I wonder if those were the things that helped with the tone-up.. Even though it was okay to wipe them off, it was still annoying, so that's a bit disappointing..😅
TipThis is more of a tip than a honey tip, but since I have extremely oily skin, I thought 'Ah, it won't be that dry for me' after reading the reviews of others saying it was drying, but it turned out to be quite matte. So for dry-skinned people, make sure to provide enough moisture before using the tone-up cream.😁😁

The BB cream would clump up or apply too thickly, leaving my skin feeling stuffy. However, the DTR Tone-Up Cream applies smoothly like a regular lotion, without any clumping, and leaves a thin, natural-looking layer on the skin. I also liked that it brightens my skin tone without needing to adjust the application. When I wear sunscreen, it doesn't leave a white cast, but instead makes my skin look brighter. It truly gives me a 'spotlight' effect, as the name suggests. And even when I sweat or get wet, it doesn't leave any white streaks - the coverage lasts well. Lastly, it rinses off cleanly with my foam cleanser.
ConsI wouldn't recommend this for people with a lot of flakiness or large pores. There's a noticeable difference in how it applies on the back of the hand versus directly on the face. The hand is relatively smoother, so it applies more evenly, but on the face, it can emphasize pores or facial hair. It also feels a bit tedious to apply sunscreen and then the tone-up cream on top. It ends up feeling just as stuffy as wearing BB cream alone.

Matte Texture: At first, when you pump the product, you might think the texture is a bit runny, but once you apply it on your face, you'll notice a very fluffy finish - :) I think this finish would be appealing to those with oily or combination skin types :) 2. Achieves Tone-up with a Small Amount: Even with just a small amount, the improvement in skin tone is noticeable - I think you'll be able to use the cosmetics for a long time (within the expiration date) :) 3. Can Skip Cushion or Foundation: Normally, when men use cushion or foundation, they have to keep checking in the middle if the condition is okay, and it's not very convenient to take out the cushion again for touch-ups. But with this product, you can achieve a decent tone correction and make your complexion look better, and if you use an appropriate amount, the result will look much more natural. 4. Reasonable Price-to-Performance Ratio: Considering the amount you get, the price range is quite reasonable ;)
Cons1. Difficult to Achieve Even Coverage due to Matte Texture: Since it's matte, it's better to apply it quickly all over your face at once :) If you try to dab it on in sections and then spread it out, it can end up uneven, like an incompletely coated rice cake. 2. Overuse Leads to Cakey Finish: If you use too much, you'll end up looking like you just took a ten-year-old photo! Be sure to use only a small amount :) 3. Can Leave Stains When Sweating - I had to top it with a cushion once because of that ㅋㅋ
TipSince it can be matte, you can mix in a bit of moisturizer or hyaluronic acid to make it less drying. When applying, do it quickly!
