It provides enough tightness and dryness that you don't need to apply an ampoule or moisture right after toner or skin.
ConsI have sensitive skin and atopy. Even though there are no harmful ingredients, the area around my mouth is irritating and there is a slight itching, possibly due to the oily feeling. There is no dryness, but the itching seems to be due to the oily feeling, so it seems to be a cautious product for me. The fluid type is prone to spilling if you're not careful. If you don't shake it enough and use it, the oil will not be mixed and will come out separately. I wonder if the container hole could have been a little bigger.
TipPlease shake it thoroughly before using.

And it has a refreshing feel without any stickiness, making it a product I reach for often.
ConsThe inconvenience of having to shake it before use and the initial stinging sensation when first applied.

When the package first arrived and I opened it, I was very pleased with the packaging condition. It was tightly wrapped in paper, which showed that they consider the environment, which I thought was great. Firstly, I am someone with an oily T-zone that gets shiny and dehydrated, and my skin tends to get irritated in the winter. I also have a bit of acne and my pores are a bit wide. This product is able to provide both moisture and oil. The moisture and oil layers are separated, so you have to shake it before use, and then you can see a white milky (like slightly diluted low-fat milk) colored content. You have to be careful not to use too little, as it can just run off your hands, but after applying it, the oil-moisture balance seems to improve, which I liked. Even though I have a very oily T-zone, I was initially worried it would make me even oilier, but it was actually less oily than just leaving it alone. When cleansing, It's similar to the above, but since there is both moisture and oil, the oil-based impurities get cleansed well, and the irritation from rubbing is much less than the pads I've used before. Perhaps due to the whitening function, my skin looked brighter and my skin tone was more refined.
ConsThose who dispense the product onto their hands need to be careful with the amount, so that it doesn't just run off. It also has anti-aging functionality, but I'm not sure if it actually reduced my pores or improved elasticity (I think I'd need to use it more consistently to see those effects). When I applied it to my skin, it felt a bit stinging. This could be because it's a functional product and it's activating those functions, or it could be that my skin type just doesn't agree with it (it has a bit of a serum-like feeling, but less stinging than a serum). The oil control was good, but the moisture doesn't last very long on its own. This is probably because it's a toner, so that's to be expected. My skin didn't get overly sensitive after a trip abroad, but my oil production did increase and I got some blemishes, and I didn't notice this product helping with that much (though I've heard others say it was good for blemishes, so it may work differently for different people). This is likely because it's focused on whitening and anti-aging, rather than addressing blemishes.
TipI noticed that when I applied it before bed, especially in the winter, the moisture would start to feel quite lacking after a couple hours. So I've been layering a thicker moisturizer on top (it seems to balance the oil control while also recharging the moisture to some degree). I've been using it as a light cleansing step and as part of my double cleansing routine, as the rubbing irritation seems less than other pads I've used, helping to refine my skin texture and remove any remaining impurities. I'd recommend this product for maintaining healthy skin tone, rather than for when your skin is already in a problematic state.

My skin type changes with the seasons, so it's a combination skin? But in the winter, it becomes extremely dry! The tightness was so severe that it was time to change the toner, and then I won the Hwahae Trial Reviewer, so I've been using it consistently every day! And recently, as the magic season is coming, I've had some pimples popping up on my forehead! !Unboxing I couldn't take a picture, but I liked that there was a sense of consideration for nature! Instead of the usual bubble wrap, the packaging was wrapped in recycled paper, and when I received it, I was like "Wow, what's this?" and excitedly touched and played with it for a long time. !Detailed Review Actually, this is my first time using an oil toner! In the winter, my skin is extremely dry, so I do 7-skin, but not quite - it's like mist > toner > mist > toner > lotion > mist > toner > cream... It's even more than 7-skin, I think. ㅠㅠ All the steps have to wait for the skin to fully absorb, so it takes a while, but using the oil toner, I ended up just doing mist > oil toner > lotion > cream. On the first day, I didn't feel any tightness, so I thought I had applied the cream too, but I had only used the oil toner and gone to sleep. The scent is also really nice when applied! I don't know what the scent is, but I kept sniffing it at first. ㅎㅎㅎ The most noticeable thing about using the oil toner is that I didn't feel any tightness! I always have severe tightness after washing my face, so I immediately spray mist, but that wasn't the case this time. ㅠㅠ And to be honest, I was a bit worried about the oil toner... I thought it would feel greasy and not absorb well, and my face would just be floating in oil. ㅋㅋㅋ But there's none of that! It feels plump like when I apply cream. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ I keep wanting to touch it, but I shouldn't. And the biggest concern with oil - pimples!! I was worried about that too... Especially since it's the magic season, but surprisingly, the pimples calmed down and went away after a few days, and I didn't have any breakouts or troubles.
Cons! The downside is definitely the price... I don't know about others, but for a college student like me, it's too expensive... I loved using it so much, but when I saw the price, I was shocked... I'm the type to use things generously, so if I buy it, I'll have to be really careful and frugal with it. ㅠㅠ ! Stinging...? I mentioned earlier that I had a few pimples on my forehead! On the areas where there are pimples or wounds, it really stings. ㅠㅠ So I was worried that it might make the trouble even worse, so for a few days, I avoided applying it on the pimple areas. Luckily, the trouble didn't get worse, but now I just apply it, even though it still stings... ㅋㅋㅋ Cuㅠㅠㅠㅠ This is really disappointing. ㅠㅠ ! Shake shake You have to shake it well!! ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Don't forget!! In the beginning, I would just apply it without thinking to shake it, but now I make sure to shake it well every time. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
TipApply it as a spot treatment on the areas with pimples or very dry spots when using it as a toner! It's useful when you're too lazy to do a full face mask!

Lots of oil buildup in the T-zone area, typical combination skin. 🌸Spreadability ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: The formula is thin like a regular toner. I thought the oil toner would be oily, but when I pumped it onto my hand, there was no sticky, oily feel at all. It spread quite smoothly and felt lightweight, not at all sticky. The texture is like milk. 🌸Absorption ⭐⭐⭐⭐: I purposely used a small amount at first, worried it might sit on top of the skin. The toner didn't feel like it was just sitting on top, but it didn't fully absorb like a regular toner either. It had more of a coating effect on the skin. 🌸Moisturizing ⭐⭐⭐⭐: I applied the oil-soaked cotton pad to areas with flakiness and dryness before makeup, and the makeup lasted much longer than usual without those areas getting dry again. 🌸Recommended skin type: Extremely dry skin that doesn't mind using oil products. 🌸Photo: After cleansing, my skin looked dry, but after using the Hanyejin oil toner, my skin had a noticeable glow that really surprised me.
Cons🌸Skin irritation: My extremely sensitive skin gets stressed out whenever the seasons change. When I first used it, my cheeks felt too stinging, so I rinsed it off and reapplied it gradually. They said it's a gentle oil toner good for the skin, but my skin condition wasn't great to begin with, and it was too stinging for my sensitive skin 😢 The next day, it didn't cause more breakouts, but the stinging sensation was there every time I used it, which was quite difficult 😢 Not recommended for: Those with very sensitive skin like mine, or those who experience stinging, minor breakouts whenever they switch products. I would not recommend this 😢
Tip🌸 Helpful Tip Instead of using the oil toner right away, I first used my regular hydrating toner to prep the skin, and then applied the oil toner very lightly and thinly. This really helped reduce the stinging sensation, and my skin felt more moisturized and my makeup applied better!

Aside from a pimple or two around my menstrual cycle, I don't usually get many blemishes. When I tried this product, it coincided with my period. I tried layering it 1-5 times. When I applied it once, it felt like 40% moisture and 60% oil. When I applied it twice, it felt like 30% moisture and 70% oil. When I applied it three times, it felt like 25% moisture and 75% oil. ••• The more I layered it, the more oily it felt. I recommend only layering it 2-3 times! Overall, it feels more bouncy than just dewy. When applied, the oiliness makes it look quite glowy. The glow is really pretty, but I'm not sure if that's the most important thing when doing my base makeup. I tried applying it with a cotton pad. For me, it just felt like a regular toner - nothing too special. I also tried it with other products. When I used this product alone, it felt light, like mixing it with a skin lotion. When I used it with other products, it helped balance the moisture and oil levels. I felt like I needed more hydration, so I used the Glow Recipe Pads and then this product, followed by the Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream. The cream that previously felt heavy now felt just right.
ConsWhen it gets cold in the winter, the area around my mouth tends to get irritated. When I applied the product to those irritated areas, it stung terribly. It didn't seem to do much for exfoliating. If that's something you're looking for, I'd recommend using it with a cotton pad. I found that the way the product feels really depends on the condition of my skin. When my skin was in good shape, it felt mild and unremarkable. But when my skin was in poorer condition, it felt like it was pushing out flaky skin. When I applied a lot of it for makeup, the moisture didn't seem to sink in, and the oil just kept coming up over time. So even though I used a matte foundation, it didn't feel overly dry or cracked. I wear dream lenses and sleep in them at night. When I used this product, my eyes would feel a bit stinging and irritated. On days when my eyes weren't feeling great, it made them look a bit hazy.
TipI recommend applying it with a cotton pad or using it together with other products. I initially thought this could be an all-in-one type of product that I could use on its own, but that wasn't the case. When layering it, I suggest only applying it 2-3 times.

The container design was also clean and free of clutter. Although it is a white water toner, before shaking, you can see a slightly more opaque white oil layer. Since I had been using oil toners before, there was no awkwardness in shaking and using it, and I mainly used it as a cleansing toner. The best thing is that the oil layer and the water layer mix very well. Even if mixed roughly, the oil droplets do not form clumps. Perhaps because of this, even though it is an oil toner, the absorption is fast and light. The oil glow fades relatively quickly after application. I think it is a product that fully performs the role of a toner. Whether applied directly or using a cotton pad, there was no lack in refining the texture and providing moisture. Although only the toner was changed from the products I used before, my skin felt more moisturized, and my makeup applied better, so I'm planning to switch from my current toner. Since using it alone was too much for my dry skin, I did apply a cream on top, but even when I applied a lighter cream than usual, it was still fine. If you have oily skin, I think you can try adding a moisturizing cream or layering it on its own.
ConsI thought the product would have a savory aroma since it is centered around rice, but since it contains orange peel oil, it has a citrus-like scent. When I first smelled it, the pungent fragrance was a bit off-putting. I'm not entirely certain, but the oil may be the reason why it stung quite a bit on the areas of my skin with atopic dermatitis. The stinging sensation subsided immediately after washing, and I didn't experience any breakouts or worsening of my atopic dermatitis, but I wouldn't recommend it to those with very sensitive skin.
TipThis may be a tip that applies to all oil toners, but it works well to use them in the cleansing step. Since the outer layer of makeup is in a dry state, replenishing moisture before cleansing is less harsh on the skin and helps remove it more effectively. Many cleansing waters sold in the market have similar ingredients to regular toners, so toners can also be used for cleansing. However, in the case of oil toners, the oil helps remove makeup better than regular water toners. It's not that one is necessarily better, but it's more about finding the right cosmetic "diet" - using a single well-suited product in various ways, rather than using many different products. In my case, I use an eye and lip makeup remover first, then use the oil toner for cleansing. For light makeup, I don't even need to follow up with a foam cleanser, just a water rinse. The skin is left thoroughly cleansed without the dryness that comes with using soap.

While it feels oily when applied, after absorption, there is no such feeling, and only a sense of hydration remains. With its lightweight formula, it absorbs quickly and can be applied multiple times without issue. With continued use, I also feel a soothing effect on my skin.
ConsIt's fine when patted on, but it becomes incredibly irritating when rubbed. However, it doesn't cause redness or breakouts on my skin. It's just incredibly irritating. If I hadn't been selected as a Hwahae Trial Reviewer, I probably would have used it once and then thrown it away.
TipIt's better to just pat it in for absorption, even though it's a bit of a hassle. Before full absorption, the product still has a bit of oiliness, so it's best to allow complete absorption before using the next product. Applying the next product by patting is also recommended.

I actually don't really like products with oils in them. I was a bit worried it might feel greasy, but it turned out to be quite refreshing, which made me realize my preconceptions were wrong. I think this would be great for those with combination or dry skin like mine. I liked that it came in eco-friendly packaging! Even though it has oils, which I thought might cause more breakouts, my small blemishes and bumps actually improved, though I'm not sure if it was because of this product or something else.
ConsWhat I didn't like: The price is a bit high for a toner. It feels more expensive than the cream toner from L'Oreal. I didn't really notice a significant whitening effect. Since it has oils, it felt a bit stingy on the first day, but I got used to it quickly.
TipI used this oil toner after thoroughly wiping my face with a cotton pad. I would apply a generous amount to the cotton pad and gently pat it onto my skin, finishing by lightly tapping it in. On drier days, I would soak the cotton pad and leave it on as an overnight hydrating mask. The next morning, my skin felt nicely moisturized.

I was selected for this Hwahae trial event and have been using the product for about 3 days. ☝️The first good thing is that even though it's an oil toner, it's not too oily or sticky. Some other oil toners felt quite sticky, but this one didn't have that feeling at all. It's just a little...?! ✌️The second good thing is that it's a dual-function product for whitening and wrinkle improvement. While the effects aren't extremely visible yet, reviews from those who have used it longer say the results become more noticeable over time. I'll keep using it and update my review later.
Cons☝️The first downside is the price. 35,000 won is quite expensive for a student, so I probably won't repurchase it. ✌️The second downside is that my skin feels too irritated every time I use it. I'm hesitant about continuing to use the product because my cheeks feel so stinging and like it might cause breakouts. I haven't had any actual breakouts yet, but it just feels unpleasant to use.
TipI'd recommend applying it with your hands instead of using cotton pads. Using cotton pads made it feel even more irritating on my skin. Of course, everyone's skin is different, but for those with sensitive skin like mine, applying it with your hands might work better.
