It gives your skin that 'I just slathered on my skincare' look. I was surprised by how well this moisturizing foundation covers, even better than the Yves Saint Laurent cream foundation I used before. The staying power and adherence to the skin are also quite good. When worn for a long time, it gets quite oily. While darkening isn't severe, it does get quite shiny after extended wear. Despite how it looks on the surface, it doesn't feel particularly hydrating deep down in the skin. Those looking for a yellow-based shade 21 might simply choose this color, but it's quite different from the typical shade 21 on the market. It's closer to shade 22. If you don't like a muted tone, you might prefer the cool 21. I often mix it with a lighter shade of Double Wear for the right match. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinOct 8, 2020
1. Good coverage - it effectively covers blemishes, acne scars, and light spots. 2. Smooth application - it glides on softly and feels moisturizing whether applied with a puff or fingers, leaving a smooth and hydrated sensation. 3. Great value for money (30ml for 18000 won) - if you're looking for a foundation with decent coverage and hydration, this is worth trying. Transfers easily - due to COVID-19, we're wearing masks most of the time, and even when applied with a puff for better adherence, it still transfers. For combination dehydrated skin, especially in the T-zone, it tends to separate and doesn't adhere well. It seems to break down faster than expected when wearing a mask. For warm undertones in the 19-21 shade range, it appears quite yellow and slightly darker compared to other foundations. As it's a bit dark for my 19-21 shade range skin, those with lighter complexions might find it useful as a concealer. The coverage is decent, and it's best applied in small amounts and blended out well. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 7, 2020
The Hwahae Testers' experience review: Adhesion: Until recently, I was using cushion foundations, which left significant marks on my mask. This foundation adheres well to the skin, resulting in minimal transfer to masks - a feature I really appreciate! Note that individual results may vary depending on the application method. Longevity: Personally, I prefer semi-matte foundations. This product initially feels moisturizing but sets to a lovely semi-matte finish, which I find fantastic! Color: The shade 21 Neutral has a strong yellow undertone and isn't particularly bright. I was hoping for a slightly more radiant color. If you prefer a brighter complexion like me, you might want to consider purchasing a lighter shade. Pump dispensing: The amount dispensed with one pump was more than expected, which was a bit disappointing. Improving this aspect could make the product more convenient to use. My application method: First, I apply the foundation with a Fillimilli brush to cover pores, then I pat it in with a Happy Rim sponge. This technique seems to provide better adhesion compared to using just a brush or sponge alone. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinOct 7, 2020
It provides moisturizing coverage and spreads easily. It doesn't accentuate wrinkles or dead skin cells, and there's no heavy feeling. This foundation is perfect for students who want a comfortable, easy-to-apply option. The color and staying power were below expectations. It has a dull, muddy tone and feels like applying a high-coverage BB cream. If only the color had been prettier, it would have been great for a natural look. That's disappointing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 28, 2020
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. The texture felt incredibly moisturizing when I first applied it. I was genuinely surprised by how hydrating it felt when I initially tested it on my hand. The sophisticated and compact portable container caught my eye. My first thought was, 'Wow, even a drugstore product can have such an elegant packaging!' I also appreciated its smaller size. I've never managed to use up an entire foundation before, and I always felt guilty when larger bottles expired. This smaller volume means I can use it up quickly and repurchase without waste. Unfortunately, there were some downsides... The cosmetic scent is quite strong. It reminds me of my mother's makeup, if you know what I mean. The fragrance is overwhelmingly potent... I tend to avoid products with strong scents as they can trigger headaches. While it's moisturizing, the texture is quite thick. The consistency is quite rich, which might polarize opinions depending on the application tool used. I applied it with a puff, and it seemed to go on quite heavily. The skin didn't look particularly enhanced after application, unfortunately. The color is disappointing! It has a grayish tint... There's no hint of pink, and it has a BB cream-like gray undertone that made me reluctant to use it... I prefer an ivory or beige tone, so that might be why. Those who like BB cream shades might find it acceptable though! Despite the thick consistency, the coverage is lacking. Although it applies quite thickly, the coverage doesn't seem to match up. Trying to build coverage leads to the product pilling and rubbing off, which is really disappointing... It also didn't seem to cover pores well. Such a letdown! It doesn't wear well. I tried this product while wearing a mask, and it emphasized the creases around my nose and smile lines. Touching up only made it cake up more, so I ended up just hiding the affected areas with my mask instead of fixing it. A pro tip would be to carefully choose your application tool. This might work well for those blessed with naturally good skin. I usually try to write positive reviews, but I'm sorry to say this just isn't my type of product. I prefer foundations that apply thinly, provide hydration, feel smooth, and effectively cover pores! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 23, 2020
I applied it with a brush and loved how smoothly and moistly it went on! Usually, I layer liquid foundation multiple times, but with this product, one application provides great coverage. It's perfect for when you need coverage in a hurry. The color isn't too light and blends naturally with my skin tone. Although it applies moistly, it has a powdery finish, so it doesn't rub off even when wearing a mask in these times! I'm deducting half a star because it feels slightly dry within 2 hours after application. I think it's because I have dry skin and my condition isn't great... I recommend applying a rich, hydrating base. I'm also taking off another half star because the color has a slight yellow tinge when I expected a pink undertone. It's not extremely yellow, but compared to my usual cushion, it's a bit more yellow-toned. Make sure to apply a rich, hydrating base to avoid dryness! If you absolutely can't stand yellow tones, I recommend trying a different shade. Also, you don't need to apply multiple layers as the coverage is sufficient with just one application! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 22, 2020
If you have an aversion to dead skin cells, you might want to skip this one... But let me tell you, when you first apply this foundation, it gives off a clean and sophisticated look! It creates a subtle glow that helps your skin appear flawless. Plus, it's just the right amount of hydrating, so it should work well whether you have dry or oily skin. I think it'll be perfect for the upcoming winter season! First off, while many reviews praised its coverage, I found it lacking. I tried applying it with both a brush and a puff, but neither method impressed me. Maybe it's because I have oily skin, but the foundation quickly settled into the creases around my nose. It seemed to emphasize texture and dead skin cells. While it did a good job concealing blackheads, the areas around my nose looked quite messy, so I probably won't use it much. To make matters worse, you can see all the pores up close. The main drawbacks of this foundation seem to be how it settles into creases and highlights skin texture. When using this foundation, it's absolutely crucial to exfoliate beforehand. No exceptions! Given that we're wearing masks these days, I'd recommend setting it with powder or a fixer to minimize transfer. Apart from the coverage issue, it really does make your skin look beautiful! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAug 22, 2020
It feels moisturizing when applied and has a nice, velvety finish. The coverage is excellent. Although it's shade 21, the foundation has a strong yellow undertone and isn't as light as expected. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 21, 2020
First off, I absolutely loved the small size of this foundation! It feels moisturizing when applied, but dries to a semi-matte finish that's not sticky at all - which is fantastic. Those with dry skin might find it a bit too matte, but I personally enjoy the semi-matte finish. Just something to keep in mind!
